Classy Italian spot with great food and atmosphere. The polenta fries were the perfect size and crispyness. Caprese salad nice and light. Arancini good but not the best. For an awesome change try the cacio e pepe with rigatoni instead of the spaghetti - delicious. Margherita pizza was also delicious, one of the few places in Toronto that did neopolitan style pizza well. Also able to accommodate kids with some modifications to the pasta. Service also attentive but not intrusive.

Wow The crew at Il Gatto e La Volpe hosted a Celebration of Life family gathering for us mid-February. I want to start off by saying my family is a traditional Italian family, our dining standards are exceptionally high. My first cousin is a chef by trade. My Mother and aunts have extensive culinary experience to say the least. What a refreshing experience to receive true customer service - I gotta tell you, it’s been a while since I’ve had that. There are really no words to explain, the food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared elegantly. Excellent atmosphere, I could see it being a romantic place to dine with my husband on our own in the future. I highly recommend this place. Please visit first, and thank me later

I ordered the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare and the pistachio ricotta cake and everything was absolutely delicious. 10/10 everything. The service was fantastic, everyone was so incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the cake was probably the best slice of cake I've ever had. I will definitely come back again. I had a fantastic experience

We had a very beautiful family dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice and clean. Plenty of parking is available. The menu selection was well thought out. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and very authentically Italian and the restaurant is run by Italians who put their heart and soul in every dish. The presentation of the food was very inviting and the portions were just right. We shared tasty appetizers and each had a different dish. The pasta dishes were delicious and the pizza was the best I have had. The tiramisu was a big hit with us all. This restaurant deserves a visit. You will definitely want to come back.

This was my first time at this restaurant. It was amazing service from start to end. We had the pleasure of having Cassandra as our server, she was absolutely amazing and attentive to our tables needs. The food was amazing Will definitely give good recommendations & return. Keep up the amazing work.

Their mushroom risotto with truffle is out of this world.

Giving it 4 stars as we went for the dinner and the music was reagaeton, not what you expect when you go for a nice dinner at an Italian restaurant.

If you want authentic Italian food this is the place. Great food and wonderful service. Loved it.

Beautiful place with a large outdoor patio for the summer, very well kept. Very clean place. Great service. The food is of quality and very close to the Italian taste. Menu with the possibility to tastefully choose what you like best. Very important factor why this place makes the difference is that they use tablecloths on the tables, which is very appreciated by Italians, since in 90% of restaurants in Toronto it is not done. Prices in the standard for the city of Toronto. The owners, two Italians who have a keen desire to put customers at ease with the best possible service.

Really enjoyed the food at this place. Servers were very polite and friendly. Where it lost a star for me is considering the place was not busy it did take a very long time to get a few pasta and chicken dishes compared to similar places. My penne was slightly overcooked, the flavor was delicious and on point just the cook was a little off. I would absolutely recommend trying this place if you have not been in the atmosphere of the interior felt very casual. However, the tables were dressed up in a very white tablecloth formal manner. I may dress more semi-formal for this place.

I ordered the Margarita Pizza…it was delicious. They have a great covered patio to enjoy an outdoor meal.

The food is good and service was great.my only reason for 2 stars is because they did not have the a/c running at all only 2 small fans. We were a big party and all crammed together and dying of heat!

Every time I come to this restaurant the food and staff are amazing and very welcoming! My all time favorite item on the menu is the Corte D’Assise and the Il Gatto e la Volpe pizza! Definitely recommend!

I had a VIP guest that I took here for a business meeting because I knew the service and food and drink would be perfect. Very excited to see the patio going in and almost ready for summer nights, can’t wait.

They also speak Italian, and food is great. Can't forget about that good and tasty Piña Colada!

Absolutely amazing food and outstanding staff. The most authentic Italian food outside of Italy you’ll find. Definitely will go back again.
