illFixit Wireless - Cellphone Repair Centre Kanata

Because the screen on my Samsung phone died I could not transfer all the content to my new phone. I initially visited Illfizit in Carleton Place. They immediately came up with the solution but didn't have the required parts. Without hesitation they contacted their Kanata location, who did, and even arranged to send my old phone in overnight. The following day I went to the Kanata location. They were just as friendly and accommodating and completed the transfer for me. Excellent service and price. I would highly recommend them.

Last week, my cell phone at the time had ceased to hold a charge despite trying several cables & power adapters, and therefore, I could also not access my pictures, documents, contacts, & info which was stored on the phone's internal hard drive (The phone was a few years old and with several small hiccups the phone would have as of late, I felt it had been building up to this).

As you can imagine, this was quite scary at the time, having potentially lost those files & many of my contacts.

As a result of losing my cell phone service & all access with the outside world (including contact with my wife, family, friends, work, etc), I had decided to pick up a new cell phone @ Costco's Cell phone kiosk - (review to follow.)

I was aware of a Phone/Tablet repair shop located just along Hazeldean Rd. The name of the business entitled, "I'llFixit Wireless". I packed a USB stick of high density, my dead phone, & what I felt was potentially my last hope for the ability to retrieve my family pictures, videos, passwords, etc.

I proceeded into the small shop & spoke with a young man at the counter (I didn't get his name, sorry). The moment I explained my situation & what was required (to copy my contacts. Files, & info from the phone to said usb key), the clerk instantly understood what was asked of them.

The Rep at the desk took my contact information & my devices (dead phone & usb). He confidently advised me that I would hear from them within 24 hours, as the phone was being diagnosed by a member of their team at the store.

Fast forward to early afternoon the next day. I received a call from I'llFixit Wireless, whom had advised me that they were successful in copying the data from the phone to the USB drive (Yay!) and that they were ready for pick-up.

I had arrived at illfixit Wireless within the hour. I was again greeted by the same young man I encountered the previous day, (again both friendly & optimistic).

He had shown me on a laptop the files they were able to recover from the Phone's internal drive. In addition to this, they were also able to get the phone to charge & told me that I could use the phone, if at least temporarily- to empty the phone or use it as a back up. The cost of the service was actually pretty good (although I admit to being ignorant to said prices).

Having presented you with a long read through, I can sum it up here in saying that I had received terrific service from I'llfixit Wireless. They were friendly, assertive, attentive to my needs, swift to respond to service, affordable, & overall I enjoyed doing business with them. I would definitely return in the future, should the need for cell phone or tablet repairs arise.

Best customer service ever. The gentleman working there was super nice, I went there because my phone charging port was loose and not charging he fixed it while I was there and said there was dirt inside the port. He did not charge me for the service. Thank you

Great service! Tried their best to get my Samsung phone working after it was flooded with seawater. Too corroded to get going properly, but enough to transfer data to my new phone. They even held on to it for a few days while my new phone was being shipped. Only negative is nowhere to sit while waiting, either inside or out.

I've been here twice with two different phones and felt necessary to leave a review. Both times they were able to trouble shoot and repair my phones in a friendly, efficient, professional manner. 5 stars for sure!

Brought in my phone for repair for a screen that had gone black and wasn't responding. They had it fixed in 2 days and looked to have done a good job. But the GPS antenna no longer worked after the repair. Brought it back to them to correct this and they kept the phone for 2 weeks, said they had fixed it but issue was identical to how it was when i brought it in. Not only didn't fix it kept it for an unreasonable amount of time to not fix it.

Since becoming a member in 2019, on the strong recommendation of a friend, it has always been and continues to be a wonderful experience. We strongly recommend that you visit them for any of your cell phone issues. They are reliable, honest and very knowledgeable. Two big thumbs up!

My 2016 iPad Pro battery died. From Jun15 to Jun22 we were visiting our two daughters in Stittsville. I dropped off my iPad to Nick at I'llFixit on Jun 16. Nick diagnosed failed battery and special ordered a replacement. He received it Jun 21 and later that day just before closing time I picked it up fully repaired! We were leaving early next morning to return to St. Johns.

Battery charging restored to normal operation. Service professionally delivered by the store was exceptional! The price was reasonable and I am very pleased with overall experience. Thanks Nick and the boys!

Very professional, polite, honest and accurate diagnosis. It took him 2 mins to get my phone fixed. And guess what? They did not charge me a dollar because they said it was just simple cleaning. Never felt this good. Best birthday gift ever. I got my phone back!
