Still waiting for my pr card
Approved early August and I have an emergency and idk what to do

Applied to sponsor my wife April 2022. Application got returned because it was apparently sent to the wrong department. I have since resubmitted the application September, 2022. Till today I am yet to receive an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) nor an application number. I have tried sending web form inquiries and called on numerous occasions. When you call an automated message asks for application number. How do you give out an information that hasn't been provided to you.
These people do not understand how frustrating and demoralizing it is to be away from your spouse for so long. They say they aim to bring families together, clearly that's not the case. All other developed countries aren't taking this long to process spousal application. It's like they want to tear families apart. Extremely disappointed to say the least!

I'm beyond shocked that this place doesn't offer wheelchairs! The building is wheelchair accessible, but what if someone is a refugee who can't afford to have a wheelchair? What if someone just got a day pass from the hospital? It's a government location and it should be inclusive to everyone. Thank you for all you do but consider this feedback for future improvements. There should be at least one wheelchair to make it accessible to all.

I have received work permit extension eligibility email but my gckey does not show opt in option after contacting ircc so many times, submitted so many web forms and contacting gckey helpdesk. There's no solution with anyone of them for my problem they created themselves.

I have been waiting for my first PR card in 6 months! Now I have to pay the fees for PR card and do biometric again! Thanks, IRCC!

Ridiculously slow work in IRCC.my student visa is neither approved or rejected 3 months after I submitted.what a joke!

This review is especially for the security guard at the front desk. He listened to my issue with attention and was able to go inside and have the problem fixed for me. I’ve been waiting for my PR card since January, it says it will ship to me within six weeks but I still haven’t received anything.

I live in a condo which is just a few steps to this immigration! Received eCoPR on Oct 08,2022. Now 4 months but still haven’t received any PR card yet! Need to travel and see my sick mom! How poorly service they have!

Applied for inland spousal application 32 Months back and I am yet to hear anything from Etobicoke Center since the file got moved here in October 2021.

Two days ago me and my girlfriend had our eTA suspended right at boarding the Corsair SS900 airplane from Paris to Montreal because we wrote the truth in the eTA form. They started asking. So. You are Romanian and you live in Germany. Yes sir. And you work in the Netherlands. Yes sir, I live at the border and work across the border. And you madam are Hungarian, yes sir. And you live with him at the same address. Yes sir. But you are not married. Not yet. And you work in Germany? Yes sir. And you mister, how much money do you have in your pockets? Humm, 20€. The rest on cards. Just 20€? It's not enough for Canada. But we need CAD there, we will take it from an ATM.no, your visas are CANCELLED
Biggest humiliation to see our dream vacation go to waste, loose more than 2000$ in non-refundable bookings and a whole flight to walk in front of us looking at us like at criminals.
Just because this centre of immigration has "specialists" who are excessively diligent tho we had all the proof that we will return to Europe, we had shown proof of return flight and everything. Didn't matter to them

Canada should ashamed of what kind of service they provide. THEY DONT HAVE CONTACT AGENT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY FAILED everything about immigration. I wish there’s zero star.

Canada shouldn't call itself a developed country based on its application process. Its 2022 and still a lot of processes requires paper. Its just torture to complete any type of paper based application. 5-10 applications for 1 process with same questions asked multiple times. Someone should sue IRCC for human rights violation. Not able to visit family members coz of this lengthy inhumane unethical processing system. Youth are not able to visit their parents, parents are not able to visit their kids. People are not able to visit funerals of their loved ones. This is accepted in a developing or under developed country but Canada? We call ourselves a developed country.

Received an invitation to pick up my PR Card from this IRCC center after 2.5 years.

Arrived at the center by 1pm as instructed in the letter with my COPR and original passport. The token was called out in 15 mins, the officer at the counter was patient and amicable, passport details were checked and the card was smoothly handed over.

Location conveniently adjacent the Kipling Station - didn't encounter any line ups and service was efficient.

Me and my husband are in Canada, daughter is in India and its been 34 days since application is approved, but still waiting for COPR.
Its been 1 year and 6 months since i submitted my application.

I came here for better opportunities and career, but its so depressing living away from my daughter. Her visa refused twice, and now PR is delayed.

You say it's important for you reunite families, i am begging you to reunite us with our daughter.
Submitted so many web forms, MP inquiries but i think it doesn't matter to you. All matters is revenue coming from immigrants.

I have been calling IRCC every hour everyday since last couple of weeks but no-one is there to pick up the call. Ridiculous government office in such a developed country. There are no high volumes of call they receive, they just want to make money out of it without working. IRCC is trying to stay away from people’s calls and emails by making an excuse of covid and backlogs.

I submitted a request for a passport return on September 6th as I didn't receive my passport back after I became a permanent resident in January 2022.its more than a month now but no update from the IRCC Etobicoke office even when I explained in the letter that it is an emergency as well I provided the speed post unused envelope to IRCC to return my passport. Please help me regarding this as I am stuck here and can't travel

Got student visa in August 2019, husband got work permit in November, 2019 and at the same time they rejected visa for my daughter. We again applied for our daughter's visa, got refused in 15 days before COVID. I have applied for PR in May, 2021, still waiting for result. Its been over 3 years I did not see my daughter, I do not know what kind of procedure and time line they follow to process the files.
COVID is gone, but still they have same excuse.

IRCC Etobicoke, Whitehorse they test your patience.
When we call IRCC, they say its important for us to reunite families, i mean really is it important for you?

Waiting for more than 2 years for PR Card renewal of my in laws. Its jut a renewal and not a new application. Online status says decision made since last 18 months. Customer service team says file is in Etobicoke office since last 18 months. No updates after that. Have been trying to contact the office without any help. Not sure how this department works.

The Filipina lady on reception was too grumpy and rude. She's not accommodating to us when we were asking question but when white people came to approach her tone of voice change and speak nicely.

If you are Canadian and want to find something to be ashamed of as a tax paying Canadian, try using the services here. Our tax dollars at work. At the end of the day these words fall on deaf ears. Amazing that a country that has so much potential for things to be proud of can call this a service. If you don’t have an appointment, you can read one of the papers on the front door. Or call a number where you won’t be able to reach somebody to talk to. Nobody to help you resolve your issue. Thanks for all the extra taxes with nothing to show for it Trudeau.

The rep does not know how to address a call. Everytime, I call them they are unaware of the information on the application. They are uneducated agents. The two agents will not give the same interpretation of the query. Poor immigration system of Canada.

Zero out of five stars. How this arm of the government supposedly functions makes me ashamed to be Canadian. My husband’s renewed PR card has been ready for collection in Etobicoke for over two years but as we’re living abroad and with the pandemic, we can’t get near the office. Additionally, we’ve cut our ties with Toronto and re-established out west. Now his original PR card has expired. No one will answer our emails, or explain why the new card can’t be mailed to our home in Calgary. Getting back into Canada without a card and having to jump through hoops and pay for a Permanent Resident Travel Document to do so is bureaucratic insanity. It’s easier for a non-PR to enter the country. Seriously thinking about renouncing his PR status just to make it easier to come and go.

Are they open now? Because i have called them many times but call doesn’t connect. I start calling them by 9am and till 4 pm I can’t even get to talk with them, they can’t transfer the call to any agent because they have high number of calls going. It has been more than 2 weeks they suspended my GC key login and I don’t have any update on my visa. Who will be responsible for it. I just can’t sit daily and call them 7-8hours daily and still can’t talk to them. Very bad service.

No words can describe how horrid this experience is. I can't fathom how they have made such a simple process so incredibly time consuming, tedious and worst of all, filled with constant contradictions. Fingers crossed they get some fresh management in and assess what has gone horribly wrong - COVID or not, the rest of the world hasn't stopped working, unsure why IRCC can't adapt or overcome. Thoughts are with all the immigrants in Canada trapped and without options.

How come they notice me to attach certain document in 30 days and didn't reply or answer for 30days since I send email back.
Also got copr 2021 june, still didn't get pr card.
Trying to call them, they hang up due to high volume.

Here is my situation, i received eCOPR on 27 june and guess what that is invalid because immigration officer forgot to sign on it. Now I don’t even get a SIN number because of invalid eCOPR. 6 months ago i told them about my situation and they were trying to be really helpful and said keep waiting, you will be okay without it. Now i finally lost my current job because my employer found out my SIN is expired and I don’t know how to pay my bills and CRA just asked me to pay taxes. And that is not all, my husband relied on me to apply for his PR and i turned out to be useless without PR card, now i guess he will have to leave this country because of me: (I have never felt this helpless in my entire life and apparently IRCC employees and better things to do. I have not seen my family since 6 years and just thought I could make it this year but i guess IRCC think we are over reacting. PLEASE if a single soul in IRCC office have some organizational skills left, fix these backlogs or else people just gonna lose faith in canadian immigration.

My study permit extension file is transferred to Etobicoke office on October 2020 but no update yet what is going on can anybody tell me how can I get my study permit extension file result.

Citizen application taking more than 7 years ridiculous. Bunch of lazy people, called on the phone they talk french for 1min 2min they talk about afghanistan/ukrain 2 min they talk about abuse then u put information for 3 min then they say sorry nobody’s on the phone later by.

So disappointed when i seen our application was being transferred to the etobicoke office before the transfer i heard nothing but bad things about this office on how they care nothing about the applicants and it will be a while before you even get a small response from this office because they are in no rush for people to start their lives.i hate that i found this out to be true.our application was transferred 1 year ago to this office and have not heard one thing from them we cant call, cant email, cant check our application online, because they never update any information i hate that our next step is to leave canada this is no longer worth it all this money down the drain thank you ircc for nothing this office is a big scam.

I am waiting my travel document with “Urgent” matter almost 8 months. But still on process. They aren’t working. Office sleeping not working.

7 months after my travel document request, no one has answered me, even the money was deducted from my account.

Hi have sent in my pr card for renewal from August 6 2021 and now their say they sent it to etobicoke since December 29 2021 and it's now February 23 2022 and nothing smh

IRCC makes immigration look like a SCAM. They charge thousands and mint money off of immigration, then take almost 1.2 years to make a decision.
After receiving decision you will be left in the dark FROM THEN ON, ENDLESSLY, will NEVER be able to contact them again and will NEVER hear an update from them EVER again. Period.
Say goodbye to your Canadian dream, hard work and money.
They take everyone's applications along with the money and no one receives their PR card in the end.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PPL? Does it have to take 11 months+ to just look at 1 PHOTOGRAPH?

Received my COPR 11 MONTHS ago and still no PR card in the mail. Portal shows 'in review with IRCC'. Tried calling the 33 times over the time span and they never pick up but rather are focussing on Afghanistan refugee cases. What about tax-paying law abiding residents? To make matters worse, they are accepting new and new higher and higher number of applications in the system rather than working on the ones they CURRENTLY have on hand!

WORST SYSTEM EVER, Absolutely terrible!

I received my ecopr on January 4th, 2022, and had uploaded the photo for the PR card as well. My uploaded photo status still shows the status "Ready to Submit to Ircc" it would be great if any status update can be shared with regards to my photo so that the PR card can be processed for me. I have tried multiple times reaching out to you via mail/phone I haven't received any reply. Would be great if someone can address this concern.

I have lived and worked in 6 countries but never experienced such a mess.

I want to thank IRCC and this location because of them, we were not able to see our families in Germany for 2 years. Furthermore, we were not able to go to Germany for Christmas, so I could have had the chance to say Goodbye to my mother in person. And a big THANK YOU for not issuing my PR Card on time, so I had to miss my mother's burial as well. Everyone in IRCC who is involved in our case: Be very proud of yourself! Do you guys ever put yourself in place of the applicants? ! How would you feel? ! I bet you would complain big times!

Thanks for losing my digital fingerprints and photo, screwing up our address, saying that our medical exams will be extended and four weeks later they want new ones. Thanks for not being with OHIP for 2 months in Autumn. Thanks for not caring a bit. Thanks for blaming us for your mistakes and glitches in the system.

I got in touch with our MP two weeks again. They called IRCC. Guess what. They said that they didn't issue my PR Card, because we "never" uploaded my picture. WE SEE THE PICTURE uploaded in the system. It is there! Thanks for not issuing my PR Card, even though it was finally flagged as urgent. Last week, I spoke with the MP's office again and IRCC said: "No need to rush because the funeral has happened already and no need to prioritize this case because IRCC never did something wrong. Moreover, I should *shut my mouth* and wait more. " Really? !

Those bureaucrats are responsible that I was not able to see my family for two years. That I was not able to say goodbye to my mother and they are responsible that I could not attend my mother's funeral. Thank you! Well done!

Applied for pr in march 2020 and got copr in may 2021, and still waiting for pr card in march 2022. Couldn't travel for short time as prtd taking 2 3 months

If I had an option give a zero star I wouldn't hesitate to give zero. These are the laziest people to work for the government of Canada. They should be all removed and hire people who are serious about serving other people. I waited 7 years for my PR!

We have been waiting for our PR cards renewal for more than 1.5 years without any reasonable and acceptable answer. The Etobicok office was closed for more than 1 year that I can’t really understand. A lot of families have gone through a very difficult time because of this delays. Please take care of these delayed applications as soon as possible.

My family medical is expiring after one month, please do something for my spousal application. I am in Canada from three years and permanent resident in Canada and still waiting for my family. My small daughter ask me every day.when i will come to you dad? Please understand our families feelings. Do something for spousal application.
