IMPROVED CARE Medical Clinic and Pharmacy

Despite the entire building saying “walk in clinic” in bright green letters, they told me that they are not. Please do not waste your time going here if you need quick care.

I take the negative reviews here with a grain of salt. Seems to me the majority of negative reviews here are in one way or another related to the the fact that this clinic is no longer a walk-in clinic (though the company has yet to update it's signage). Contrary to what others have wrote, I had no problem booking an initial meeting with Dr Arshad in a reasonable amount of time; there was no suggestion of it being phone-only or anything like that; I was asked to come into their office. On-site the secretaries were as professional as I would expect from any other establishment; and I found Dr Arshad to be what I was looking for.

My suggestion to the business owner is to update their signage; as doing so will likely have an offsetting impact of reducing the number of customers who enter the establishment seeking walk-in services; only to find no walk-in services are offered; leading to negative interactions with staff likely through no fault of the staff.

I met Dr Hadi. She was great at our meet and greet. I liked her approach and was very helpful.
Knowledgeable and patient. My mother loved her despite my mother talking slowly and taking up her time. Signed up as a new patient.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I thought it would be fitting because I received great care from Dr. Hadi. She was very thorough and had very good bedside manners. Normally, I am rushed by the doctors, but she took her time with me and made me feel heard. I would definitely recommend her to others!:)

NO issues with the clinic itself or the doctors- but the pharmacist (in the same space) does not mask, even though sign on front door says this is a requirement upon entry for the safety of patients -

Contrary to some other reviews, I always see the pharmacist with a mask AND a shield. He is a lovely man, sometimes reserved, most likely because of all the verbal abuse he gets. Both my daughter and I have witnessed deplorable behaviour on the part of customers. Still he remains calm. I much prefer going to this pharmacy and support local businesses.
The secretaries are sweet. A little on the quiet side. The situation with the doctors however is a hit and miss.

Extremely unhelpful and unprofessional staff (receptionists)

My mom was in so much pain they carelessly made us wait for more than 45 minutes and did not help us to see the doctor as promised over the phone. Very unhappy with the service we have received and will not recommend this place even as walk in!

I don't know how they call this clinic Improved Care. It is anything but! Never a Doctor but always taking new patients? Dirty waiting area and rude reception. OHIP should look into this clinic.

Sign in the door says accepting new patients, yet no doctors on site. Receptionists offered to have a phone consultation with a doctor, then proceeded to mumble about how the doctor wasn’t answering her phone or text. She started recommending another clinic. I just needed cough medicine. This place is a waste of time don’t bother even bother.

I could not have made it through the past year without the excellent care from the clinic. They had phone appointments set up early on in the pandemic and it’s worked out very well. Other offices I deal with were not as organized as this one was. When I do go to the office I never have to wait long at all, and everyone is most pleasant to deal with.

Pharmacist Ogi is pretty much the only reason I come back. Best pharmacist I’ve ever encountered. Thank you Ogi for the wisdom and info you share!

Not improved. They did not diagnose me properly even though I told him about my problems in details. I suffered for one week went to another walking clinic that diagnosed me properly give me the right care and prescribe the right antibiotics to give me back to my family. This is the worst clinic anyone can go to you miles well go to the hospital or any other walking clinic but to come to this one. I suffered Because lack of experience doctor didn’t do their job right. Stay away from this clinic.worst clinic. Should be called un improved care!

When you book an appointment with a doctor the hope is that when you arrive you will get to see the Doctor. This sounds pretty simple but has been a difficult task for this office to handle.

Twice in the past (before switching) I have booked appointments for my 6 month old Daughter to see Doctor Houssain and when arriving at the clinic I learned that she was on vacation or didn't work that day. Why would a receptionist book an appointment to visit the doctor on a day they don't work? I would let it slide if it happens once but this is twice now and each time we're in, even for the walk in there is a new receptionist who seems to be in training. And we often overhear them telling people who are coming in before or after us that their appointment isn't able to be completed because the doctor isn't there.

If there is an issue with the schedule even a simple phone call a couple days before to reschedule would be the expected thing to do but nothing. Whatever system they use to organize themselves is either broken or missing altogether. The doctor's schedule is either in a constant state of change or the receptionists don't have access to it and are throwing darts and letting the next employee after they quit/are fired (?) deal with it.

Dr Houssain is nice and competent enough but this place is being drowned by a complete lack of organization. If you are looking for a family doctor and book an appointment here be prepared to do their job for them and constantly call to ensure you will be met with or roll the dice on someone being there when you show up.

I totally agree from one of the comment below: this place was a joke. To be honest, this place just like its name that it really need to be “Improved”. The doctor was rude and unprofessional. Also, I don’t think she knows what are she doing, because she wrote unprofessional doctor notes for me and I was questioned by my insurance company. Moreover, to make more money, she tried to persuade me to do some unnecessary physical exams at her clinic. That sounds ridiculous! Well, I finally understand why this clinic got that low mark on Google and that’s a good lesson to me. WOULD NEVER GO BACK!

Really bad service. They call it "Walk-in", but every time I come the doctor is not there or they tell me that I have to make an appointment. REALLY? ! This is not a family doctor this is walk-in, why do I have to make an appointment. If I could give 1/2 star I would!
