We’ve been a few times now, both dining in and for a cooking class. Excellent food and excellent service. The class was very fun & informative.

I was a regular to this restaurant from like past 3 years. I ordered via uber eats for pick up as they make you hold the phone for over 20 mns to take your order. The moment i entered I told the girl at Reception that I will Dine In instead of take out making it clear that if food is packed you can serve me the same as I will Dine In.she said Alright! Then I took the corner table which was the only table Vacant as the restaurant was packed. I heard the tall guy who was "Runner" & the other waitress talking about "No Vacant Table". The Kitchen 'Runner' told the girl to clean any table that get's Vacant ASAP & apparently they wanted me to leave my table as well, as I had ordered for pick up in the first place. The girl at reception whom I told I would dine in instead of take out came to me with my food and said 'Kitchen staff' has already packed your food which made it very clear that she wanted me to GTFO as they needed table for upcoming customers. This was so dissrespectful and upsetting that all they cared was a darn table for other customers so they can make some more money and not giving an absolute damn about a regular customer who is coming from past 3 years. I always usedto do Positive "Word of Mouth" Marketing for them but now It will the other way around!

Updated review: ate in the dining room and the experience was not as good as it used to be. The service was slow and we had to ask for things a couple of times. When the four of us ordered food we were told that it could take 30-40 minutes because they were so busy with takeout orders. Food was still good but the menu has changed and there seemed to be fewer options. Portions seem larger when ordering takeout. Got the impression there is new management, but not sure. I’ll still order takeout but I’ll skip in-person dining.

My first experience trying Indian cuisine. It was so good. I wish I lived in the area. The server was very pleasant.

This place is clean! I mean spotless! The owner ensures a clean and spotless kitchen. That’s a big deal for me. Amazing food. 5 stars all the way! Thanks Nick!

This is truly one of the best Indian restaurants out there, the preparation is excellent and the taste is authentic. Absolutely love it!

Nothing against the server she was trying her best but not happy with the owner who is sitting in Ancaster location and sending msg that they can’t serve us, as we were doing reservations for 8pm while store closes at 9 and we were ready to place order at 5pm so it’s ready for 8, very disappointing and waste of time. I don’t think they care about customer service I don’t think I will come back here where you are treated like this they lost business for over $500 today and more in future

My wife along with our friends often go to India Village (both locations) where recently for the past few years we have gone to this Dundas location more, out of convenience. Normally, we always receive good customer service mind you we are not needy or picky people so it is easy to please us! However, this most recent visit was rather disappointing. When we arrived, we were told food would take 40 minutes which was fine, we see it is slightly busy and the food is always made fresh here. We made our order of a few curries, naan, and beer. After 20minutes, drinks had still not been brought out for us so we reminded the server with which she responded “you did not receive it? ”. We noticed other tables around us were being served drinks and pappadum crackers w/ dip so we also asked if we could get some while waiting to which she responded again “you did not receive it? ”. Shortly after, only drinks were brought to us and they started to bring the curry dishes out. These were dropped off at the end of our table with no efforts to place it between us all (4 people) which ok no biggie. 10 mins later they finally bring out the naan to eat with the curries (normally they serve this together). Anyway, the food was very delicious as always, 20 minutes through eating it we had run out of drinks so we requested for water and napkins. We ended up having to ask 2 more times as both the servers kept forgetting and we were getting very thirsty. Near the end of the meal, 2 tables were sat by us and they received their drinks and pappadum w/ dip almost instantly. Our hunger was satisfied at this point so we did not mention anything about the pappadum but finally the server brought it to our table. Guess what, she brought it without the dip that normally comes with it and this was only to our table they decided not to provide the dip. We then requested for it to which the server responded “oh you want dip as well? ”. This was irritating as for everyone else and every other time we’ve been there, it is customary to serve it together but this time just for our table, it was left out, which is a very minor issue but altogether was adding to all the other issues of this dining experience. Unfortunately, I will never dine here again, take-out would still be an option as their food is delicious but this experience has definitely put me off.

Loved this place years ago but recently had a bad experience this time around. The server was rude and clueless with what she was doing. We made an order, got a few of our orders and then she just forgets to bring out the rest. With 2 reminders, she would just question back “oh, you didn’t get your dish you ordered? ” And then she would continue to disregard us for the whole time we were there. Food was OK. At least we can still go to the one in Ancaster and hope we don’t get the same server… wish we got her name. It was THAT BAD.

Got lunch here with my dad in between classes and was pleasantly surprised. We got the traditional dish combo with medium spice. The beef was very well done and the spice wasn't overwhelming. The best way that I can describe the food is that it tasted like home. The service was great as well. Parking is a little difficult as only street parking is available, but definitely worth it.

I live in USA and went to canada for a business meeting 2 weeks before. I was staying in Hamilton and went to this restaurant as it was near to my location. Since i love Indian food and love trying it at different locations, i am glad i opted for this Indian restaurant.
The food was amazingly good and taste was extra ordinary specially Beef traditional, saag paneer and garlic naan. I would highly recommend to this place and i will definitely visiting again whenever i will get the chance to go to that city again.

Incredible! I have ordered food from India Village many times and never been disappointed. The staff are lovely and the food excellent.

We had lunch special, Excellent quality authentic Indian food, can't imagine how any other restaurant can beat here, clean, friendly, quality and good portions, you won't leave hungry.

First time experience at the restaurant, and we didn't even have time to take photos because the food was so delicious and fresh. We ordered chicken and paneer sizzlers, dal, chicken lababdar, tandoori rotis and naan. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The waiters were very friendly with prompt service even though we were a larger group (8 people). The owner of the restaurant was also there and extremely friendly. They asked if we were celebrating a birthday, and I told them when I was paying the bill that it was my mom's birthday. They went out of their way and made our table a small dessert plate with rasmalai with a candle in it as well as some gulab jamun, both of which were excellent. All in all, great experience, great ambience and great food. We will definitely be visiting again when we are in Dundas! Thank you India Village team and chefs for an awesome experience!

Ordered for the first time after renovation through Uber eats. It was two karahi paneer and two butter naan. I am a regular customer here but I didn't expected this much changes in your quantity. Is it even naan? Or maybe you are considering it Roti! I paid $5 for each and $17 for this much curry this is what I get in quantity! I have to reconsider this place from now onwards

Great variety of flavours and my little dog felt the sizzle of the fire in his tongue
But we were fine after our tastebuds came back very good food here

This is the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. I have dined in at the Dundas location and ordered delivery as well. Fantastic food.

By far the best Indian Food we've eaten. This is our go to for take out. Dundas location.

I called and asked if that was normal and if there was anything they could do. Staff was useless place is a nightmare
