Easily my favourite spot in the city for biryani. 9 times out out 10 its a hit. I always get the boneless chicken biryani and highly recommend it. Get medium to little spice if you don't like heat. But yeah overall would stick to the biryani and do take out/pickup to enjoy it at home.
This restaurant is too bad and me and my friends ordered 4 different dishes and all was so bad. Don’t try any food from the restaurant and the restaurant is not clean.
I literally got my takeout box in a tore up plastic bag. My chicken biryani was not warm, so I am assuming it was just sitting somewhere at the back of the restaurant which is unsafe. I was concerned and disgusted so I didn’t eat it. I would not recommend.
I suggest never ever come this place, if u want best biriyani try some other place, this place only chicken biriyani is ok, Al others dishes is waste of money believe me, it’s not Indian restaurant, there no Indian stuff, no Indian test food,
Value for money is the word - their flavoured rice with meat or "biriyani" which comes with a side of potato and boiled egg is a must try.this is most aptly paired with lamb curry! The sweet cottage cheese balls dipped in sugar syrup "rasgullas" for desserts.
I had the most pleasant experience during my dinner at this place. The Butter Chicken was really tasty and the Naan was freshly made. Looking forward to being a return customer. Keep up the great service and the fantastic food.
This is mostly for takeaway place and not yo be considered a place to sit and eat. There are places to sit as well but no ambience. We had chicken biryani and tastes is pretty average and I won't recommend, the cost is much lesser than many other restaurants, a biryani cost is only 7.99. The mango lassi was good and inexpensive 2.99. There are a lot of Indian cuisine available here. The nane is Indian, but doesn't look like being run bh any Indians there.
Had Spicy Chicken curry, Butter Nan and a Mango lassi.
Cost $19.73
Chicken did not rakste fresh but the nan and lassi was not bad.
Negatives - Don't have a washroom. Even the washbasin area was found dirty with other stuffs. Even the kitchen also didn't look good. Not the best place to eat out.
Decent lamb Biryani, same w kebabs. Guy behind the till is super slow. Not sure if it's a processing issue or he doesn't care. Either way take it into mind and have patience. Decent prices for Biryani. Big portions, may need two hot sauces tho.
Some of the food here is absolutely delicious. They make fresh and authentic tandoori naan, which is made to order. Their kababs are very juicy and well seasoned. I would highly recommend their kabob rolls. If you're a fan of spice they have a spicy green chutney that they include which is great (you can always ask for a mild version)
The owner is so sweet and the service is nice it is definitelt a bit of a hole in the wall, but worth it for an authentic and tasty kabob roll!
I come here for their naan.whenever I pass by here I will order their naan.usually was great.but today the normal cook is not here, a younger guy was making it. He is definately lack of the know how n skill.so 35 percent area of my naan is not ideal. It is a simple food but not that easy to make it good. I love all kind of naan and I eat them very often so I can tell easily is it good or bad. Because of this I want to give 2 1/2 stars but there is no such choice so I can only give 3
Sadly, the lamb curry I ordered had some bone ground like grains of sand. When I asked the attendant about it, "You have almost finished eating the dish", to avoid providing a replacement. How rude!
Ordered a combo with 1 meat and 2 veg. Taste was okay but the meat/veg to rice ratio was off so there was not enough sauce to cover the rice. Not worth the $12.
These guys start hiking up their prices every time I visit them now. It's amazing that their prices remained the same for like 15 years and now every six months, they go up, up and up as if there's no tomorrow.
We bought chicken and lamb biryani, chicken curry, veg, and chicken samosa, and grilled chicken leg piece! Biryani was nice but dry for us The samosa was too oily The chicken curry was nice and flavorful Price is good Uncle is so I think he owns the restaurant
My family and I tried this restaurant once accidentally and it become one of our favorites in the city. Now we drive long way to get there and enjoy fresh, yummy and local Indian food. The prices are very reasonable and staff are supper kind and nice. Foods are Halal and has fair portion. Highly recommend to try this small hidden gem.
Disgustingly bad food! All spoiled food, Bad Biryani, yucky goat curry and terrible samosas. And its all cooked by Bangladeshi recipes spoiling Indian food name! Indian food is never like that! Please change the name!
Amazing honestly. Super affordable especially with a big group. Had the paneer makhani and naan today and the chef was so sweet and asked us if we wanted extra spice because he knew we liked it extra spicy! Amazing taste too, brought me back to my mom’s food (which is amazing)!
I am a fan of South Asian cuisine. I ordered 2 dishes: Egg Biryani and Beef Biryani from UberEATS. Their rice was not well cook. I am not sure I can eat the rest (I finish just one half box). You’ve got to address this to save your business.
Best Indian food I’ve tried in toronto. Budget friendly and they serve the most delicious paneer makhani ever. Sweetest owners and it’s open til 11pm! You will leave feeling so happy and satisfied
The Food is really tasty. I always try their combo box. You get the rice with a meat curry and 2 veg curry options. Best food and great value for money.
The butter chicken and naan is my go to lunch. Whenever I'm downtown, I make sure to grab a bite to eat here. I also recently had their chicken wings and they were absolutely delicious. I know how hard it is to find halal chicken wings downtown and it's so great that they have started to offer this as well. Would highly recommend.
The employee there seemed like he didnt want to be there. He placed the container in the plastic bag in such way that the sauce dripped from the side of the container into the bag. Also the plastic container that houses their disposable cutlery was filthy. I shouldve checked the reviews brfore going in.
Elite. Without a doubt, experience you will have will be 10/10. The food, service, and environment is amazing. I definitely recommend this place. Oh, and the prices are phenomenal!
I bought lamb biriyani and chicken curry for lunch. Its 12am night and the food colour has stained my palm (I had it with my hand), I wonder what kind of food colour was used that after multiple sanitizers and a shower couldnt wash off. The chicken curry was red in colour, not sure who likes a bloody curry. AVOID AT ALL COST
Biriyani was SPICY. Being an Indian when I say spicy its spicy. Also its not the chilli spicy its the black pepper spicy that chokes your throat. Quantity was decent but the quality is questionable.
Bought 2 Lamb Biriyani today, the meat which was served is just like a wood pieces (too hard) and the rice was really uncooked feel like eating plastic rice. We call the store people and informed about this but the response was very poor.
Please never go this place and don't waste your money.
Indian Biriany House is the best restaurant I have ever seen in downtown Toronto. Recently I tried Haleem recipe from this restaurant, it was very delicious & fantastic. They also produce best Garlic naan. Garlic naan is amazing, It was very tasty comparing to the other restaurant. As a side drink, I choose mango smoothie or, sweet lassi. The taste of these drinks? Are definitely awesome. Apart from this, their customer service is great & praiseworthy. If I had a chance to rate over 5 star, then obviously I would do that. I would highly recommend this restaurant if anyone want fresh & authentic food for their lunch or, dinner. & also their food items are % halal. ️
I ordered in dinner, from this restaurant last night. Delicious butter chicken, kebab, samosas and naan! There was a bit of a issue with the delivery (Ubereats). But the kind man who I spoke to from the restaurant, rectified it himself. Love that kind of customer service. Definitely will be ordering from this great place again.
