My wife and I couldn’t eat more than a few bits and ended up chucking it in the trash. Very oily and tasted like eating pure turmeric. In my opinion, very low quality ingredients and food.

The food is very tasty and the quantity is also quite filling. Must try is samosa, aalu vada and bread pakoda

Wonderful Aloo Paratha and Jalebi for breakfast during the Thanksgiving weekend! We happened to come to Indian Express because it was one of the few Indian restaurants open early. Little did we know that we were in for such a wonderful breakfast. We ended up coming here again for a late Lunch and ordered the Vegetarian Thali and were not disappointed. Great good and great hosts. Don’t forget about the Indian style Chai Tea and Coffee as well to complete your meals.

The malai kofta was to hard to chew, the butter chicken was too oily and the naan were not fresh. It’s the worst food i’ve ever had. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!

Stale food, looks like they cook it once a week and keep giving everyone that only as the business doesn’t do so well. Plus the guy at the counter (owner himself) was arrogant and rude, while the lady was nice she have nice customer service. Don’t go for the sweets for sure coz i just looked at it and can tell it was really old and bad for sure.

Amazing aloo paratha i just felt i was eating my mommade paratha love it highly recommend try it

Mouthwatering food. Butter chicken is the best dish of this place. Nice dine in area. Enough space for dine in outside n inside patio. Naans are really fresh & fluffy.

I had the pleasure of ordering a Chicken Thali and a box of sweets from Indian Express Food and Sweets, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the sweets were beyond amazing. I was truly impressed by the flavors and quality of the meal. If you're looking for a place that serves mouthwatering food and irresistible sweets, I highly recommend Indian Express Food and Sweets.

If I can give more reviews stars I will. In few years I have first time experience roti made just like home. I would highly recommend this restaurant and must try there paneer tikka and chaat pappdi.
All over this is one of the best restaurant in Ottawa right now.

I loved the atmosphere and the customer care…. Must try bread pakora with dips and chai…. Veg noodles are not recommended however overall the service the place is amazing

Please don’t visit this place! We went to this garbage place and the owner overcharged us. We went back and asked us for a refund and the owner gave us the money back and banged the takeout window on our face. When we tried to talk to the owner about his behaviour, he literally slapped my friend. Yes, it happened. We called 911 and the cops were supportive, they took him in custody and made sure he was charged. People like these are poison to our society. This was my new year’s first food take out experience in Ottawa. A humble appeal to everyone, please avoid dealing with this place. Let’s show him that without respecting the customers, he cannot run this place.

The sweet shop's box had an unexpectedly high weight, and it appeared they added extra paper to increase the weight further. This has raised doubts about the management's transparency.

Furthermore, the quality of the sweets did not meet the expected standard, leading to a disappointing experience.

As a result, I have decided to avoid visiting this place in the future.

Visited this place to get Indian sweets as takeaway. The jalebi (orange spirals) was awfully STALE. It was so soft it bent like play dough (it should be crispy) and smelled of old oil. I was extremely disappointed that they sold it to a family with small kids. It went straight to the trash! Also bought some other sweetmeats.some were soft and fresh and tasted good, others were not even cutting with a knife and were again too old for consumption. Please remove items that have passed their shelf life. I drove a distance after reading the reviews. I waited a long time while three pick-up orders were processed so overall not a great experience. I even told them to put in two pieces per sweet and came home to see that they had put in whatever amount and charged me so much for the extra weight. It was crowded and they made use of the situation by selling me loaded boxes of stale sweets. Be vigilant and taste before buying for sure! I won't be returning!

Worst sweets ever brought
I think the picture speaks about it, it’s already in a dustbin.not at all fresh, it’s too hard to consume and it smells. I don’t recommend at all. I would be happy to give 0 rating since I have no option giving it 1.
