I was on and off researching about SMP, and then stumbled upon Ink2Scalp, and saw they offered free consults. I thought eh why not, and went in for a meet and greet with Trevor. The entire consultation was extremely informative. Trevor took the time to explain the entire SMP process, the products they use, the different stages of hair loss, end results, aftercare— you name it, he covered it. I ended up going home from the consult and booked in with Ink2Scalp that same day.

When I got to my first appointment, Yvette was extremely professional and explained again the whole process. She asked what type of hairline I envisioned, and I pretty much left that up to her— and what a great decision that was. She took the time to measure and draw up what she thought would suit me best, and she did a fantastic job in doing so. My new “haircut” is better than I could’ve envisioned on my own.

My initial concern with SMP is that it wouldn’t look natural. I’ve seen and read horror stories of people who underwent the process only to come out looking arguably worse than when they started. Likely because they hadn’t discovered Trevor & Yvette. The process is so much more than just “tattooing a bunch of dots on your head. ” It’s an absolute art to be able to do what Yvette does and make it look so realistic. I haven’t told many people that I was doing this, and I can genuinely say that friends and family have been fooled. Even when looking up close, it looks like a natural hairline.

If you’re reading comments to determine whether or not the process is painful, I guess that depends on your personal pain tolerance. For me, it was quite relaxing. If you can fight back the sneezes (don’t worry, Yvette keeps a box of tissues handy), it’s basically like an aggressive head scratch. Some spots are worse than others, but overall it wasn’t too bad. And after it’s all said and done, it’s more than worth it.

Best decision ever! Initially getting SMP was a bit of a hard decision to make. I knew I needed something done but I was worried about how it would look on me. I came across Ink to Scalp and watched a lot of their videos on YouTube. They explained their process and the details on SMP which made me confident enough to call them.

Trevor gave me an online assessment of what state my scalp-hair situation is at and what amount of work I might need to get done. Friendly and honest the WHOLE time.

To start with, my sister-in-law who is a hairdresser told me about SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation). As I had no idea about it she searched on internet and she suggested me to choose ink2scalp.
I approached ink2scalp via email in March 2019 and sent them my pictures. They were really quick to response with the quote and how will I look after treatment. As I did not have enough money I told them I would contact them next year.
In March 2020 I approached them again I booked an appointment. This was the first time I met Yvette and Trevor.
First of all they don’t treat you as a client in-fact they treat you as a guest. They both were very welcoming and accommodating both to me and my friend who drove me to Whitby from Barrie. As they started my consultation they told me that currently I am in stage 7 of my baldness which is one stage higher than when I approached them in 2019 but they both were nice enough to charge me the same amount they quoted, when I approached them first. This shows she’s definitely not money maker. Not only that, she was nice enough to give me my first session on my consultation day as I drove from Barrie.
Flexibility of appointments - As I am from Barrie and I do not own a car. My friend used to drive me to Whitby, so I had to book my sessions as per my friend’s availability.
Yvette never said no me, instead always made adjustments with her busy schedule and gave me appointments each time, which is very kind of her.
Customer satisfaction - I was booked for four sessions but when I went for my last session she was not satisfied with my results so she gave me one extra session. So with Yvette you don’t need to worry about your satisfaction because she won’t give you thumbs up until she is herself not satisfied with the outcome. This shows she never rushes for treatment. During each session she added darker shade and density simultaneously.

Finally, after a few sessions I saw a gigantic difference on my scalp. It was unreal. Towards the end of my sessions when the scalp had been completely lightened, she finished it with pigment that matched my actual complexion. I would recommend Ink2scalp to anyone who wants professional work and excellent service. Yvette and Trevor were so informative about the inks and the aftercare. It is obvious she is an artist as well as someone who really cares about her guests.

I have been doing research on smp for quite some time and there is definitely a lot more people offerring the services compared to several years ago. My own barber and other barbers i know are learning the skill as another service to provide.

I am that guy who would wait long hours at the barber shop and struggle to get a nice straight crisp hairline and come home and try to fix and maintain it.it was a struggle for me to maintain as im sure it was struggle for barbers trying to cut around my balding areas.

SMP is a skill that is acquired with experience like any other skillset.

There are many other places that perform scalp micro pigmentation but quality over quantity has always been my thing and the extra distance and time was well worth it.
