I would like to give ZERO star to this store. Their internal operation is a mess. I ordered a bunch of cloth in June and picked them up after two months. For sure there were some size exchange because their size is so confusing. It took me an hour to proceed the exchange with a busy time at the beginning of the school year. However when I tried to return one item, they couldn’t find it in the system and insisted that I bought it in June, even with a wrong size. Moreover the manager and the staff seemed not willing to help at all! The customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen.

I went and shopped for son here recently. Leah and her team were very patient and showed me many sizes and give me lots of advice. Thank you for all the help and support.

Ridiculous return policy. I ordered some clothes before the school year started (9 months ago!) and they just arrived…the school year is a month away from being over. Even worse is that the store refuses to return my money. They would only do an exchange. They said that their return policy is 2 weeks from when you purchase the items (not when you get them). It’s so ridiculous it’s laughable. Unfortunately they have a monopoly as I can’t buy my uniforms anywhere else but I will definitely be lodging a complaint with my kid’s school.

This is the monopoly of school uniforms. If your kids are in one school you have no choice but to buy uniforms from them only. The staff friendliness and helpfulness arrange from average to poor attitude. Due to the nature of business some staff are part timers. They don’t seem care for customers. The uniforms are overpriced compared to what you can buy at stores for regular price. The quality of uniforms is much less than the previous company provided. The pants material is very thin. It’s very cold to wear in winter time. The shirts were made in poor workmanship. The collars of all 10 shirts we purchased are wrinkled after 6 months to a year. The previous company gave exchange on defective items, but this company won’t give any exchange or do anything. It seems parents have no choice but to buy from them. Buyers be aware.

The $30 short-sleeved polo is made of only 35% cotton but 65% polyester; the $60 sweater is made of 100% Acrylic. These very easy to cause static electricity clothing material, children have to wear them almost every day, including of course in the dry autumn and winter. Can you guys feel the trouble caused by static electricity when children play in the playground, OMG! Please be kind! God, is there a regulatory body to control this unbridled commercial monopoly? I even wonder if the expensive tuition for children in private schools will be the cheapest return as well? We don't ask for a lot because we know you are a for-profit organization, but is it okay to give us old navy quality?

Today I showed up to pick up gym clothes and a pair of pants. There was a big mix up with my other orders (fault on both parties) and the female employee happily helped me sort everything out. Everyone was super helpful. ️

The new manager and team are great! Allen helped us out this year, he made the entire experience pleasant and efficient. It's been a great improvement from the months and year prior.

I always believed that wearing uniform brings a sense of structure to the school day. We have been long time customer here. Quality of the uniforms are well worth the price. Convenience of order online + good records of previous orders makes shopping for growing kids easy.

I changed this from a one star to five star review because the new manager is amazing. If she ever threatens to leave, remember this review and offer her a raise.

Used this shop to buy uniform.great place! Very neat. After the pandemic, we needed some bigger clothes so I went there. And. I'll say they were rough- not 100% kind to the customers looking at the percentage of staffs.
One more thing, I really wished they had a fitting room because when we went there we had to hide somewhere where there were no cams. Um.unprofessional. I somewhat recommend this place but I do wish some changes.

Probably the worst uniform distributor of all time! Ordered placed in September and waited a month for delivery. Items were damaged, requested exchange in October and now we are on the last day of November, nothing is delivered! Called the store at least 20 times per day and no one answered! Worst customer service ever, I do not know where else I can order the uniform from!

This business is classic example of what customers will be put through when there is no market competition. The products are of low quality and highly priced. But worst of all is the outrageous customer service. The bald headed sales woman is arrogant and rude. She treated us awfully and pretended she is the franchisee.

Will be writing to the school to change this uniform provider.

Why are you the ONLY store with slot booking? All stores across Ontario are open to public.

After failing to book an appointment online, we contacted the head office and they've confirmed by email that stores accepts walkins. When we arrived, we're treated very badly, not allowed in.

Unfortunately, we have no choice, but to deal with this kind of attitude because they know we can not go anywhere else.

The website isn’t user friendly at all. First, no appointment booking option; second, no store pick up option while checkout. The online chat isn’t offer regularly. Store doesn’t take phone call appointment. They need to update the system.

Disrespectful employee, absolute terrible experience.

Spoke with the manager after driving from a far location just to find out when I arrive they do not take walk ins. There is no information on their website or door regarding appointment.

The store was absolutely empty with no customers and they refused to service just because we did not have an appointment.

Terrible experience in the Richmond Hill store. Most careless cashiers I've ever met. In one simple order, three mistakes: wrong price tag, when asked which is the right one, the person cannot answer, just go with the higher one. After scanned all the items, charged a different amount other than the one showing on receipt. After a weekend, constantly call and push without properly explain the reason, just saying"I will give you a few minutes and call you back, you own this much" You think all the parents have nothing to do but carrying the uniforms bags and receipt around? ! Can not allowed 30 minutes to check? ! The worst part, I was told one pair of pants was back ordered, it will be shipped to my home, the person even grabbed other school's pants for size, when checking my order, I was just told "you don't have any order. " HUBRIS and RUDE! One mistake after another, I don't believe this is an coincidence, three people all make mistakes on the same day, Horrible! If you don't want to treat your job seriously, there are lots of other people seeking a job!

Why are you the ONLY store with slot booking? Other uniform stores are open to public. U don't think parents have enough to deal with and need your not so user-friendly website to deal with?

Great customer service! Wouldn't go anywhere else for my child's uniform. I was helped by Berfin who was very patient and helpful with our order. Furthermore, the staff is very respectful and mindful when it comes to covid-19 distancing as well. I highly recommend!

Very pleasant experience and very helpful staff. I was treated with respect and given the information that I needed. Most importantly my child has everything she needs to start her school year.

Unfortunately in this day and age it’s too common to hear of organizations being hacked and your personal information being taken. As such I always shop online using ‘guest checkout’, where unfortunately InSchoolWear doesn’t offer this option - You have to create an online account with them. After calling I was advised there was no possibility to order via phone. I then asked if I created an online account was it was possible to delete the online account after I received my order - I was advised they had to keep my personal information ‘forever’, where the person I spoke with seemed quite displeased that I had asked such questions. If there are successful cyber attacks on major retailers, oil pipelines, and the US government then there is no reason to believe a school uniform store can keep one’s personal information any safer.

Great quality clothes, and would happily rate a higher review if one could simply order as ‘guest’ online or order over phone, but unfortunately they need to keep your personal information in perpetuity in order to make a purchase.

Total chaos, useless employees. They sent two text messages stating that the order is ready to be picked up. Once I got there, it took them 30 minutes to find the order and realize that it was sent by CanadaPost. Lied about sending the tracking number. WORST. SERVICE. EVER.
The only reason they are still in business is probably because of the kick-backs from the schools they service.

Update: They screwed up the shipping.allegedly sent to the wrong address.

Terrible customer service as we could not make appointment online in the whole week after tried several time, and they did not accept walk in purchase without appointment currently even you just need a shirt and could wait outside the store for pickup.
The store credit (for returning they only offer you 14 days refund and after that they only give you store credit) could not be used for online purchase which is so inconvenient for us as from website every hour you could only make on appointment vs they supply so mane private schools.
Of course the employees don’t care because of the exclusiveness monopoly

THE MOST frustrating experience. Put in an order for only 3 items online, opted for curbside pick-up, paid online. Waited for over 3 weeks and nobody contacted me back from the store after I left voicemails, filled out inquiry form on their website, and wrote to the head office. I totally understand we are in the middle of a pandemic and back order is to be expected, but I really had hoped that they would at least tell me my order was delayed. When I finally got to the Richmond Hill store to pick up the order, they couldn't find my order even though they called me to go pick up the order. Then they told me I ordered through the Toronto store. So I pulled up my confirmation e-mail that clearly stated Richmond Hill store. Finally they found my items and blamed me that the order was under my child's name and I gave them my name (along with my phone number that's on file). Of course, I should have checked the items while I was still there. All 3 items were the wrong size! Good grief!

Not very good Customer Service. They don't have a lot in stock and it takes weeks if not months to receive the product. School has a uniform and the kids come to school and they are not dressed with school uniform.
