IANA, I took the Advance Skin Care Specialist Diploma course in International Beauty Institute, Toronto / North York Campus.

My Skin-Care program teacher (online theory and practical lessons) was KINSELLE. She is a nice, good teacher, she knows her material very well, answers all questions. She always tries to help students in practical exercises and tries to give as much additional information as possible. She is very welcoming, friendly and shares her experience, her knowledge.
I was also lucky with the group, there were 9 of us, all girls of different ages, all friendly, interesting and tried to help each other. I will miss all the students and my teacher.

I am glad I took this course and would recommend this college to anyone who wants to take a Skin Care program.)

Going to IBI has been such an amazing experience. My skincare teacher Kinselle was so encouraging and always pushed me out of my comfort zone. I have grown so much in only 4 weeks of taking the course. I’m so excited to continue my aesthetics journey at IBI and i truly hope to have Kinselle as a teacher again, she has inspired me to open my own business and is so knowledgeable in this filed. My journey was amazing from not knowing anything about make up into becoming a professional MUA.
My teacher was MAKAYLA and she is truly a perfection, someone that makes you feel you are not in a class and at the same time making it a fun learning.

I am writing this review because I felt it can help someone else looking for a great lash technician. Recently I took an Eyelashes extension Certificate from IBL Institute- Toronto Campus. It was absolutely incredible and amazing! My instructor was Rose the most lovely person I have ever seen in my life bearer a golden heart. I really admire Rose for all the extra help she does to make sure of my success in the industry,
I can tell you she is 100% professional and takes pride in her work. There’s so much information in the one course, you learn about so many different fanning techniques, and Isolation techniques, Rose go into detail about different types of lashes/looks!
She walk you through the course, Anything I needed help with that I went to her with, she helped and was so professional and fantastic!
also answering any questions, she responded effectively, and quickly, and was just so knowledgeable and attentive. Rose truly cared about the students. I went to the International Beauty Institute and took the full-time "Advanced Medi - Spa Therapist" diploma program. My Background was Medical and I was working as a Clinic Manager, Before I entered this college I went to study the "Medical Skincare Therapist" at George Brown College, I did study skincare1 I didn't finish all the programs according to the pandemic situation, it was hard to find a parking spot for the car because it's downtown and its hard for me to use two buses with subway, then I decided not to continue there. I tried to find a good college and I did read the reviews about the IBI I found lots of students was satisfied and the good things the school was very close to my home. When I started there, The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and I gained so many useful skills to use for my new career. I had such a great time working with Lisa my instructor. She's the best instructor- so patient, kind, and answered all my questions. I have had the pleasure to be one of the students of "Lisa Constant", and I can confidently say that she is one of the best teachers our school has ever had. Lisa is organized, driven, and passionate about the welfare of her students. She always wants the best for her students! Lisa is an amazing teacher she is very thorough with her teaching and makes sure you understand 100 percent.
You will not find a better deal (especially for 1: 1 training) anywhere else.
I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to be an Advanced Medic-Spa Therapist if you are looking into becoming a SkinCare Therapist with Microdermabrasion and Chemical peel, Laser technician or Medical Aesthetician, so go with this college.

Everyone I have encountered at school are very friendly and welcoming, students and instructors. I made the right decision attending the Medical Aesthetics program here.

I had the pleasure of completing my first module with Luciana. I went into this class not knowing very much about body treatments. I feel very confident now with my new understanding of the human body & massage therapy. Luciana was very positive and upbeat. She made it easy to learn. I hope to have Luciana in my future classes.

I love IBI I had the best time learning Microblading, laser hair removal and skincare. The information provided was great and the instructors are wonderful I totally recommend studying here.

I’m very disappointed for the Manual Ombré Shading for the amount I paid was not worth it. Inexperienced instructor that needed to be trained and thought herself. The administration sucks by not explaining properly to me that it was manual ombré. I was expecting to learn the tattoo machine. So upset now I was to pay again somewhere else to learn the machine way.

I recently took advantage of IBI's online courses and it was such a great experience. I was able to learn from the comfort of my own home. With current circumstances I was able to take advantage of this time and get my certification. I highly recommend IBI and can't wait for my next class.

I'm a student taking Medical Aesthetics Diploma here at IBI. I really LOVE Candace's classes. She teaches me Skin Care, but she can connect all knowledge like Chemical Peel, Laser, IPL and Skin Care together. I was amazed by her knowledge & Experience. LOVE~ ️

I took the classic eyelash extension course should of asked for a refund I am very disappointed in how I personally did not learn anything due to too many students in the class and absolutely ridiculous, I WISH I COULD OF GONE ELSEWHERE!

Im a new student at IBI its been the best experience, I enjoy coming to school the staff are wonderful and my instructor Lucianna has been an amazing teacher im so grateful to be here.

My experience at the school was horrible; particular with one of the administrators Marina. During my time at the school Marina was rude and unprofessional many times to both the student and staff.

On the first exam for the facial practical; Mariana had volunteered to help the other teacher mark the students since there were around fourteen students to mark. Mariana began to scream at the students for having long nails and if they didn't want to get rid of their nails that they should be working as secretary instead. Embracing the students in front of their clients. The instructor (Amy) at the time had told the students that they have the end of the week to shorten their nails. When one of the other students had asked Mariana where her client could change and get a robe, Marina said "I don't know, ask your instructor. " She was yelling at the students about product use. Mind you she was stressing out the students during an exam and she was misbehaving in front of their clients all though she was supposed to be marking the students she was never paying attention being on her phone and always leaving the classroom. Confusing students on weather they should be allowed to move the next process in the exam since she was not in the room. Not only is this an embarrassment to the students but also the fellow employees and the school.

During the final practical exam after I was done; I had asked Amy (the instructor) where I could find the face charts sheet to replace for the next student. She said for me to go to the front. Mariana was the front desk talking with a customer. When she asked me what I needed, I asked her poliety where the face chart sheets were. She got up and yelled at me in front of a client "I'm so busy, I can deal with this. Your instructor should have been prepared! " And she got up and walked away. I was stunned that she had done this to me in front of a client when I simply asked for a question. When I asked one of the employees they went to the desk where Mariana was sitting pulled the drawer and passed me the sheet. All she could have done was shown me where there was; there was no need for yelling at me in front of customers.

Marina never apologized for her actions after both exams.

One occasion when we were in the IPL room, she barged into the room asked the instructor Amy if she had any plans for March break, when Amy had said I don't think so. Mariana said great i booked you for that week. She spoke about a private matter in front of a class of students about a teacher business.
She had also made a remark about a student not being in class because she missed two days off school. She said in front of the teacher and student "Oh she never here! " Mariana does not have the right to be making comments like these about students' attendance in front of a classroom. Her actions are not acceptable as an employee of the school.

Many of the students in the classroom began to complain to the instructor about her actions. The instructor then went to tell Ximena (the director) about the complaints on Mariana. Mariana decided to come into the classroom to comfort the students about the complaints. Which one was never acceptable. When one of the students was voicing her concert Mariana accused the student of screaming at her, which the student was not. When that same student left to go the washroom Mariana had followed to the student into the bathroom. The students comfort Mariana on her behaviour she kept coming up with excuse that she was being overworked and tired. She admitted after the first exam that she had felt guilty about her actions on treating the students. How come if she had felt guilty then why didn't the next day as responsabile employee did she not come to apologize to the students and the teacher for her behaviour. She was only now apologizing because most of the students were going to make these complaints to the head office.

If you are paying almost four thousand dollars for a program and being disrespected by one of the fellow administrative employees then that is a waste of money.

Found this company to be an excellent place to get gifts for my girlfriend for both Christmas and valentines. The services they offered made her very happy and she looked even more beautiful than ever.

I attended this school for the medical esthetics program at the Toronto location.

The staff were very kind and they knew everyone by name and the faculty was very clean and make the students mop the floor.

They follow Ontario guidelines on sanitation and sterilization. They had great equipment and a fairly small class so it was great one on one time. Some products they used were off Amazon which was a little off-setting. They gave us 2 masking brushes and a headband - for the amount of tuition you are paying this kit should come with more and small samples of the product. This will help students get a feel of the product and possibly sell while in class.

Where the school falls very, very, very short is their education. The instructor just reads off the slides and is not a qualified individual to be teaching science based material. She has no prior knowledge or higher education to be classified as a master in teaching; especially the theory. She has previously owned her own salon and she shines when teaching application but, even when teaching application she can’t support why she does certain methods with theory learned in the classroom.

As a student, you need to work extra hard to make sure that you are not being fed false information (which is often). They also do not provide slide material like licensed Ontario colleges. The exam format is definitely backwards. For example, in a module they will teach you ppt 1 and 2, after going over exam review there was no reference to the ppts 1 and 2 (yet we are still being graded on it). What you will find out is after you finish the exam, that week you will be taught was on the exam that you just took. The instructor also has poor time management skills, where presentations would have to be performed on the next day or run overtime into some of our hands on clinical work. The instructor also gave out hand written “report cards” which is highly unprofessional. The school also hands you your diploma before they give you your final grades. I don’t think they even have a system of getting your transcript if requested?

This school also doesn’t use a pharmaceutical skin care line as they have claimed. This school does not allow you to use their staff microwave and makes you walk over to the superstore to heat up your food (in severe winter weather). Although this issue is dependent on the kindness of the staff, it is an unpleasant feeling knowing that they don’t care about their students.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this school if they still had the same instructor. When looking into this school, I recommend asking the professional achievements, education and background of the instructor. I’ve heard that the Mississauga location has an instructor who has a Ph. D, and I would suggest going there even though their faculty isn’t as nice as the Toronto location.

After attending this school, I’ve learned that a lot of my own knowledge is based on my own personal studying and do not refer to the material provided by the school because I don’t think it is sufficient enough when applying to the work force. If you are serious in getting into the medical esthetics industry I think you would do better in getting a nursing degree and pursing a few classes from this school. If you lie solely on the information from this school you are not prepared for the real situations.

It was an amazing experience for me, the environment was so friendly, the class and teacher (Jordana) was great, in 3 days of Microblading class I feel like I am with my close friends. I learn a lot and I will come back for more corses. Most importantly I appreciate the (Ximena Pagiamtzis) Admission Director, she was the one, who was helping me to understand the corses and Gide me to go true it.

Had a few consultations and services at the clinic. The staff is very knowledgeable and makes you feel completely at ease.

Without exception, I have been treated warmly and in a friendly, respectful manner.
The location itself is very clean and well maintained.
The instructors appear to know their craft well and they've passed on their knowledge and skill to the students.
I have felt extremely confident in the students ability during the services I have received, as well as being happy with the outcome, whether it has been a pedicure, laser hair removal, or a facial.
The instructors have maintained themselves professionally and the students have been enthusiastic and motivated. I'm usually more than satisfied with the results of any procedure I've had the pleasure of receiving and I absolutely would not hesitate to return.

I was a model for and IPL class being taught at the Toronto International Beauty Institute. The facility is bright and welcoming. As I have received IPL treatments elsewhere before many times as a paying customer, I can tell you that the instructor was explaining the treatment clearly and correctly. She demonstrated how to give the best IPL treatment possible with an emphasis of keeping the client safe and comfortable. The students themselves were intelligent, focused and obviously keen to learn. They were all very friendly as well. Nice facility and seems a great place to learn.

I booked laser hair removal here after getting it done elsewhere. The machines they use, to my surprise were painless! It was an absolute breeze. The staff and technicians were super friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly. Highly professional place. If you're looking for great results a painless experience and professionalism I would look no further. Thank you Toronto International Beauty Institute!

I recently attended a 3 days Microblading class at IBI (International beauty institute) over at their North York location, all the staff were both friendly and very helpful. The place has an inviting and relaxing vibe.
Melissa, the instructor is super friendly and always approachable. Most importantly her knowledge and methods for educating students blowed my mind. She is so knowledgeable and her instructions are clear and concise, there really is no way you could miss out a single piece of information. Melissa made it so easy to understand and fun to learn.
I have attended a variety of different classes in the past 2 years, including a Microblading class at a different academy, this one is a game changer. Also their Facebook support group is incredible; I would 100% recommend anyone who is looking to take a Microblading course to check out IBI.

Really enjoyed the Microblading certification course I recently took. The instructor Melissa was incredible, really went into detail with providing me the assistance I needed to learn each step.
