I had an amazing experience working with Cam Whalen from IQ PARTNERS Inc.a few months ago. It was my first time being recruited. When cam reached out to me on LinkedIn, I initially thought I was being scammed. After meeting with Cam, he went over the position in a clear and accessible way. Even though I had negative self-talk, Cam was supportive and encouraging. He would say things like, "remember, if you weren't qualified, you would not have been recruited. " cam's support made me recognize and acknowledge how others saw me professionally. Not how I was seeing myself. I doubt he knew how significant our engagement was to my ability to switch my perspective on self, leadership, and potential.

And Cam supported me throughout the recruitment process as much as he could. After my second interview, I had some family matters that prompted me to think about withdrawing from the interview process. Instead of doing that, cam encouraged me to be transparent with the company with whom I was being interviewed. I did as Cam suggested and was given some time to address my family issues. I was able to resume my interviews once my family matters were addressed. With cam's support, I did not even know that would have been possible.

Cam always kept me informed throughout the process and even supported an independent project I was working on. I believe Cam loves his role as a recruiter and enjoys helping those he works with. I am impressed with his work ethic and how genuine he came across to me. The funny this is I do not believe my experience working with Cam is unique.
