Iqbal Kebab & Sweet Centre

Tried their Chicken kabab roll along with sweet lassi with ice in it and both were a full meal and tasted great. Probably, the best in all of Toronto. They do deliveries from SkiptheDishes. Highly recommended trying them out!

Thé very best Nihari I’ve ever had in my life. The owner if very friendly and the portions great! I highly recommend trying the Nihari however the Kabobs are delicious too!

Sorry, but the measley quantity was laughable.except we were the ones paying $19 for this kabob "dinner", so it's likely the owners who were the ones laughing! With so many kabob and Biryani places within a stone's throw, why would anyone come here to pay a lot and get the inverse? We just happened to be going to a business nearby, and my wife fondly remembered Iqbal's from many years back. Well, the past shall hereinafter remain just that.

The quality of food is very poor and Nihari is not fresh may be cooked 3 days ago! Behaviour of staff is very rude

We ordered aachari beef, bihari kabobs n lahori kabob combo but lahori kabob combo was average rest of food was really good love the butter naan. But ambiance n atmosphere was so dead may be ramadan.

Ordered tandoori and biryani, taste reasonable but they customer service really needs improvement.

Just had Veal Biryani from this restaurant. It costed me about $20 (including Tax) and worth not more than $5.
Home cooked Biryani is 10 times better than this.
The pieces of veal were not easy to chew. Surely not good quality veal. They used “sella” rice which is usually used to make sweet rice (Zarda).
The taste was not bad.
I will not recommend to anyone. It’s like throwing your money to a drain…
They are in business since more than 20 years and I was expecting far better quality than this.

Staffs are friendly and can guide you with menu if you want recommendation. The taste is good but the prices are too high compare to other similar restaurant and they don't serve big portion for charging that high price.
We loved their halwa puri/ bihari kabab and lamb nihari (the portion is 1 serving but extremely expensive).

Ordered 3 orders of halwa puri, once we finished we were refused enough containers to take home the food. Between 3 people they gave us 2 containers and told us to mix all of our leftovers. I talked to the manager and he would not provide us the containers either. Insisted on charging us due to "over head costs to the business" 35 cents then later backed downed to 20 cents. Fyi a styrofoam container in built costs <10 cents. Do not go to this business you might put them out of business since they can't afford the take home containers

Best butter chicken and biryani in the GTA. Their chicken kebabs and bihari kebabs are delicious. Halwa puri on the weekends is amazing too!

We have been going to this place for about 20 years now. It has gone down hill ever since. I am only giving it more than 1 star because of how good it use to be 10-20 years ago. The prices are expensive, and the quality and portions of the food has gone down tremendously. They are all around very stingy with their chutney and NAPKINS! The chutney that comes with your naan/kebab is not enough and if you ask for more they will charge you. I remember when they used to give unlimited chutney. They also gave me one napkin. This place can do better. Not to mention one small bowl of butter chicken, $18! Just a bowl of butter chicken! Man at the front taking order needs some serious training on how to speak with customers. He acts like he's doing you a favour working.

Very expensive and lousy service. Menu on the wall " Special Combos" shows different lower price. Dont compromise, find some reasonable place.

Very very poor customer service, avoiding the customer rather than attending and we have to waiting for a long time to make an order

My husband and I went to open aftar and eat here for the first time. There was only one person in the front serving. He was rude and kept taking phone calls instead of our order. The quality of the food was poor. The beef kabobs were mixed with flour not really beef and tinny, the beef rips were not even good enough to feed your dogs. The photos of items show they serve salad with meals but the server laughed in our faces.

Shame on you for cheating people with skimming on quality and portion. Especially in the month of Ramadan and we paid$62.00 for our meal. I highly recommend you give people the value for what they pay and get a better chef.

Also their bathroom was filthy and disgusting. No paper towels for dinning in with meals.

Food is great, love the variety, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions, you will not go wrong eating here!

Ordered two chicken biryani. Both boxes had one tiny piece of chicken each. Rest of just rice. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment.

Food was excellent. Tried the kebabs, chicken biryani and nihari. Very good desi food spot in the GTA. Must try!

This place deserves more stars. My family and I decided to go there because the restaurant we wanted to go to was too full. We were grateful that we were provided with some privacy as some of the tables had a little curtain to them. You won’t get a waiter coming to your table and asking for your order. Your number is called and you will bring your food to the table yourself.

Now for the food. Probably the best desi food I’ve had in a while. There was not one dish that I did not like! We ordered: naan, chicken kebob, chicken karahi, malai tikka and chicken biryani. The naan was soft, the kebobs were flavourful and the biryani was amazing! Malai tikka was the best out of everything. We left happy and satisfied!

Used restaurant and like the food, order brain masala and butter nan, it was yummy and quantity was enough.

Very good food, fast service. Veal Biryani was very good and so were the kebabs. Butter naans were nice and crispy.

We ordered chilli chicken. Surprisingly there was little chicken with lots of capsicum and onions. No taste. Never gonna go again

The chicken curry was full of oil, like we need this to clog our arteries. Also when I ordered the kababs, these cheap guys packed the naans in a brown paper bag and the paper bag broke and stuck to the naan as it was all wet (see picture)! The male manager runs this place like he is doing you a favour! They have the worst customer service and I am not sure with all the negative reviews, why he has not been fired yet!
There are other great places in the area so do your research!

Was much better in the past. Staff need customer service training, they would probably make more money and retain more customers but maybe they don't care. Last time I ordered they said they don't make fish even though it's on thier menu. I ordered biriyani instead. Didn't get any salad or sauces even though thier own website says it comes with the biriyani. I asked thier staff and was told it doesn't come with anything. Mabye don't advertise something and take people's money and hand them what you choose to in the end. No reciept either.

Have been coming to this place for last 3 years now. Best Indian food in town. I love their Kebabs especially Bihari Kebab and Chicken Malai Tikka.

DO NOT COME HERE. Pricy, yet unsatisfactory! I don’t know who these guys are trying to fool but for these prices, there is a LOT a LOT more that one can order from any other Kebab cafe.

The staff is absolutely disrespectful and abusive, the manager doesn't care. Was told they'd rather throw the food than give it to me because I didn't want to pay cash. Don't waste your time here. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Used to come to this restaurant especially in the summer alot since I live in Caledon.there lamb biryani used to be amazing with the sauces they give.after covid happened came her about 3to 4 times after prices increase and the quality of the biryani went down and they don't even give you the chili sauce or tamarind anymore which was the best part of coming all the way here to get biryani. I don't mind prices going up but quality should be good.also the lady that works there have so much attitude.asked for the chili sauce and told her how I come all the way from Caledon just for the biryani she could care less and tell u not to come.she is straight up stuck up and doesn't care to work there.its like someone drag her out of her bed every morning and put her to work.so many time had a bad experience with her. Would not be wasting my time and gas to come all the way here again.can definitely get biryani and service else where.

Quality of food went down, they don't even give you the sauces to eat with biryani anymore.they are going so cheap on the food they give you but increase the price.rude customer service.don't recommend this place at all.

Used to be a regular customer for over a year. Their Biryani was the best. But for the last few months they’ve been doing it all wrong. Ordered lamb biryani 2 times but gave beef instead without even informing me, if you’re sold out, just call? What if I don’t eat beef? Or makes the biryani way too oily. The staff seems very demotivated, unfortunately not coming back again.

Food has gone downhill over the years. This place used to offer the best chicken biryani I’ve ever tasted in my life. It’s the reason I started eating biryani but the quality took a serious nose dive. The biryani that I ate the other day, was not good. The chicken was very stale tasting and even the Raita isn’t made the same. So disappointed. They no longer offer the salad or naan that they used to with the meal. Very sad.

Came here saturday morning - ordered the halwa poori thaali.

Family and I loved it! The halwa was melt in your mouth smooth. The Chana and aloo sabzi was great too!

Expected the aloos to be a bit more chatpata than salan-ey, thats the only complaint. Well priced!

If I could've rated it -1 star I would've. I ordered a Haleem which came in a cup, the size of about 3 dipping sauce containers. More of a lentil soup than a Haleem, no sign of beef or any meat whatsoever. Worst way I have ever wasted $14.

This happened on March 10 around 4: 30pm. I ordered take out and was asked to wait for 15 minutes. After taking the order, the lady at the counter got busy browsing pics in here phone while I waited standingin frontof the counter. I asked 20 minutes later if my order is ready. She tells me that she has forgot to inform to kitchen about my order and can I wait more. Horrible work ethics and services!

Instead of Chicken Karahi they packed a plain chicken curry with undercooked ginger, reheated curry sauce and absolutely tasteless. Promised me mishkaki (usually cut from tenderloin) and when I opened the package it was fibrous beef- probably the cheapest cut. I should have read the reviews before going here.

We bought some meals from this restaurant a week ago and found hair in fish masala. We contacted restaurant but got no response back. I would never purchase food or eat at this restaurant and do not reccomend this place. Food also extra spicy and caused heart burn. The customerservice also very poor. Waited too long to get food ready

Not the best restaurant I've been to, quality of the food is absolutely terrible, prices are quite high and customer service is very poor.

Food tastes great (much much better than Shaheen Tikka in the next neighbourhood) but service is ridiculously slow. They also dont disinfect dining tables between customers, just wipe with a rag.

Very costly average food! Their biryani used to be the best in town but not anymore! Single serving now costs around 15 dollars without tax which to me is ridiculous.
Silver spoon's food is much much better and reasonable than iqbal, their average meal costs around 7 dollars whereas everything at iqbal sweets and restaurant tastes very average and starts at 10-12

In-store experience: they prefer cash payments and would insist on it especially if you're going in for Chicken Biryani. Very less staff so it takes forever to get the orders completed, mediocre customer care. You could wait for 45min to get the Biryani, and for about 30min to get a chicken curry.

Take-out experience: Their Biryani quantity is good but the curries are highly priced for the quantity you get. Again wait times can be over 30-40 min so be prepared.

Exclusive place to have your meal. Well mannered staff. Really tasty food. Paya was a bit runny but really tasty. Bihari kebab were the best. The tamarind sauce was the best to taste. Even the Garlic naan was a different taste than you get generally. All in all really good and tasty

I just visited Iqbal Kebab & Sweet Centre today, and the food was absolutely terrible and the prices were extremely high with the portion sizes being relatively small when you take into consideration there cost. First and foremost the food was absolutely terrible I had ordered there biryani which had no flavour whatsoever with it being practically tasteless, the keema curry was extremely watery with there being no keema in it at all, the chilli chicken on the other hand was acceptable however there was nothing really to special about it whatsoever. They don't have table service in-spite of that they expect you to tip, the customer service is also is relatively poor we had to ask them multiple times to come and clean the table, when we went up to the counter to ask for some containers they were busy talking didn't even bother to ask if we needed something with me having to intervene which is something you don't expect from a restaurant of this kind. Overall I very much regret coming here and not going elsewhere with the price quality quantity of food and the poor customer service being the key factors.

I called today to order take out 12.20 the girl over the counter told me to hold and left the phone on the side. I was holding phone and went there personally after 17 min and she said how can i help you and i told please check your phone and she just cut the phone even without apologizing. I asked for manager she said there is no manager and we are busy. Very rude and didn't even say sorry. People make mistakes but at least apologies.
We left without taking food and will never go again will tell our friends and family not to go there.

I have visited this place twice and both times it has maintained the same standard. Quality wise it's delicious and freshly made. Halwa is not that sweet or oily which is perfect. There serving size is also very generous and 2 people can easily eat from one tray. Waiting time is minimal and customer service is good. We ordered the naan instead of puris and those were also very fresh. Their tea was better than other Pakistani breakfast places I have tried so far. Their prices are very reasonable. Overall the restaurant is very clean and well kept. Will come again. Thumbs up!

This is a best place for Pakistani food the man at the cash Aleem is very quick and professional food is great and the place is very clean. We have been going there for 15 years.

I take my family to this lovely place many times a year! This is my favorite restaurant to eat. I visit this place many times. The meals are excellent, the staff members are helpful and the charge is decent. I like going in this spot to have a decent supper.

Worst experience. Average food quality and pricey. Double standards with customers some people were served I dont know whether they gave hefty tip or what but when i Inquire shift manager Nisreen couldn't satisfy me regarding service policy of the resturant. She told me that those people reseeved table and will pay later that is why we are serving them. I asked if this is the policy then it must be told before even I ordered. Will not go there again and would not recommend to anyone.

Very expensive food.no body sell at these prices in Toronto. Food portion very small. Food taste is same as any other Desi restaurant in Toronto. All claim back home taste but all use third class meat cook food in quantity and put in the refrigerator just warm up and serve.you can feel with in 5 minutes food get cold. I really miss back home restaurants where fresh food cook and serve daily.

Iqbal Kebab is the best place for Halwa Puri in the town. A week earlier, I went to Nirala Restaurant in Scarborough and the Halwa Puri was small in quantity, high price and very oily. Someone told me to go to Iqbal Kebab, amazing food, good quantity, reasonable price and tasty as well. Will go again for sure.

Poorly managed restaurant. Took our order and told us to wait for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes they told us that they don't have the food we ordered anymore. We left without eating and definitely not coming back.

Pretty good place to grab a bite. The food is great. They have simple but great food. The service is great. Now they have breakfast for weekend that is an amazing add on to the place. I have been there a lot of time and every time i go food and service is great.
