A recent medical condition has caused loss of my left peripheral vision. The experienced and excellent staff at yesterday's Iris appointment offered valuable help and encouragement for the best possible way to manage this happening, including options for lenses and glasses and better ways to move forward. I have attended this optician's for many years and will certainly continue to do so. Thank you!

Was seen the very day I phoned to enquire about getting an appointment. Attentive, friendly service.

My experience at iris was absolutely five star worthy. I was met with impeccable customer service at the hands of the stores manager Neera. They offer all your standard optical needs, as well as cary an extremely well curated selection of beautiful eyewear. I will, without a doubt, be a repeat customer and highly recommend this one stop shop to all my fellow yorkville locals.

I do not recommend this place. Their optometrist gave me an incorrect prescription for the second time. It seems that he is very inexperienced on the field. I also remember when I asked why one of my visions was very blurry after the new prescription, and He just justified that it was very normal, and I would never see things how I was able to see before, and the right eye would compensate for the left eye. This is absurd. After trying hard to use the glasses he had just prescribed, I found out after a year that my prescription was wrong, thanks to my new Optometrist. I also had another problem when I had to activate the warranty for my glasses, and when I showed up, the attendant just switched the sides of the lenses. On the same day, I went to the store and asked if the lenses were correct, and they just laughed at me. The manager double-checked and confirmed the mistake. They apologize for the error—shame on this place.

I had an eye exam with Dr Chang, who is very professional and communicative. The optician is also super nice and helpful. They fixed my old frame for free.
Would highly recommend this place.

My latest visit last week proved once again the expert service that I've come to expect from everyone at Iris, Yorkville. Dr.di Nardo squeezed me in between appointments; performed the necessary steps and explained the results to me. There was no worry with Covid-19. Every machine was wiped down prior to and after use. Door is locked to limit walk-ins. Assistance with frame selection was carried out by Neera. Thank you to all!
Can personally vouch that the service/expertise at this location has not been affected by the pandemic. Dr.di Nardo took the time to explain my test results and eased my mind re a personal concern. The entire experience, from arrival, to tests, to selection, to departure, was enjoyable.

This is the best shop in Toronto hands down, they have optometrists on site to run eye exams and one of the best collections of glasses and sunglasses with all brands from premium designer to stylish affordable companies, service was excellent and will return for all my glasses needs!

The service is excellent. BUT the selection of frames is ultra conservative. I was looking for something bright and youthful. Everything seemed to be geared to a more professional person. Looking for a new company after 35 years of business there.

The staff were so lovely, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. I managed to slide in for a last-minute same-day appointment. Neera also helped set me up for discounts for which I qualified, and billed insurance directly. The doctor was also very friendly and took time to give details about how the eyes work, which I greatly enjoyed. It was a lovely experience!

I had my first visit since Covid and was very happy with the experience. The team was friendly and the doctor was exceptionally helpful in giving me advice for laser eye surgery. I'm very glad to have visited them and will definitely come back!

Very professional and most important is the detail explanations on conditions and guidance to take care of your eyes.

Went to IRIS optical 2 years ago in 2019 and had a horrible experience with one of the attendants there. Came back this year to give them another chance and they were such a great help with helping me find the right lenses and going beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my option. Would highly recommend their services.

I came to see Dr. Doobay after having a terrible experience with another Doctor. My visit to IRIS today was amazing! The staff are so friendly and especially helpful when deciding on frames, the premises was very clean and you could see the staff sanitizing and cleaning items, surfaces and machines between customers. Neera was also an amazing optician, definitely recommend this location!

I arrived almost an hour early for my appointment but was warmly received by Debol who assisted me in the selection of new glasses - reading and sunglasses. Observing Covid protocols, I was made comfortable and welcomed. Both Debol and Neera provided an excellent personalized experience - I felt that my business was appreciated and valued.

Great experience. I bought one set of lenses a few months ago. They cared about what I need and did a very good job. I broke my frames and I had to buy another pair of lenses. That experience was very nice too.

Wonderfully pleasant and easy experience getting new glasses at Iris. From the exam to the frame and lense stage, everyone was professional, courteous and warm. And direct billing to my benefits provider made the process even easier. I will definitely be back for future eyecare needs.

Had my “once every two years” checkup today and the entire team was amazing! They had many COVID precautions in place (consistent sanitizing and sterilizing), and the checkup was very thorough! Dr. Chang and the team are very friendly and treat their patients wonderfully!

IRIS Optometrists and Opticians is a great place to get your eyes checked and get glasses. Dr Julian was super friendly and answered all of my questions honestly. IRIS has a wide variety of frames and designs. Not only do they have great products, the workers at the front were phenomenal. Each worker was very welcoming and extremely helpful by providing their honest opinion about which glasses suited me best. I left the store satisfied and excited about my new glasses! My husband and I were referred to Dr. Julian by friends and family.

We both had our eye exam with him and the experience was great. Dr, Julian is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly.

We also had an appointment to see new glasses. The ladies at Iris were very helpful and customer centric.

Iris has an ample selection of product with very good taste. The store follows an appropriate Covid-19 protocol and they do whatever possible to assist you with your insurance claims so you can get advantage of it.

Everyone I spoke to hear was so nice! I had one of the most thorough eye exams ever and the glasses selection is wonderful.

Shocked and disgusted; I visited this location for sunglasses, and was told that insurance does not cover sunglasses without a prescription, which i thought was very odd, as i have purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses over the years without a prescription, i advised the lady of this, her response was ‘THAT IS FRAUD’ i was shocked and confused. I left and contacted my insurance company who advised me that in fact they do cover non prescription sunglasses as it is considered EYE CARE!
Whoever works at this store should educate themselves on the types of insurance provided for EYE CARE, she assumed I took part in fraud without knowing any details of my insurance. I will be purchasing my sunglasses today, NOT from crown optical of course

I’ve been coming to Crown Opticians for the past six years and I’ve had great customer service every time. Sunny spent a lot of time helping me pick out great frames that ideally fit all my needs. 10/10 would recommend, and I will continue to shop all my eyewear needs at Crown Opticians.

Technician did not know how to operate exam equipment. Staff were confused about my file as some had my name misspelled. Worst of all, I called after 3 weeks to see where the glasses were and THE STAFF MEMBER LIED, saying there was a quality control problem when they had actually sent the frames to ANOTHER CITY! Currently waiting for a refund of my cancelled order. This place was very good under the previous owners. Now it is terrible and very amateurish.

I found Iris to be a reputable, convenient eye clinic that carries a wide variety of frames and offers many lens options. Dr. Julian Chang was very personable and listened to all of my concerns. He then gave me the answers I needed and made me feel in control of the process. No hype or rush and when we finished all of my options were clear.

Afterwards Neera Kalhan, the Optician Manager walked me through the process of choosing my frames and the right lenses for my situation. She explained the differences from one price point to the next and I never felt pressured to move up. This lead me to make the best choice for my case.

I had been referred by a friend to stop by and I am glad I did. Great service, selection and reasonable prices. Highly Recommended!
