Island Yacht Club

Wonderfully secluded private club behind Hanlan’s Point in Toronto.

A member of Point Credit YC recommended we go there for lunch with him. Although the manager informed us that a reservation a few day in advance for non-members are part of the clubs rules, they still accommodated our party which was greatly appreciated.

Great lunch, great cocktails, great service.

The place is beautiful, the food is horrible, very very bad. I would never eat there again and would likely choose hospital food over theirs. But the place looks lovely.

Great place with friendly members and staff. Their restaurant is simply awesome as we got a great meal on Father's Day.

The club with the best location on the lake. Members are friendly and courteous. No snootiness about power or sail. If you're a member, you're a lucky person.

Staff was very friendly. The food was amazing, their fish are great and their steak is very good as well. I also really enjoyed their red pototoes though i felt their salad was bland. I tried to walk around the area but the path was blocked off due to recent flooding. There was also a limited selection of drinks (couldnt get a shirley temple due to lack of grenadine). I definitely think this could easily make a 4/5 had there not been flooding prior to my visit. The boat ride to and from is quite scenic.

I shot an corporate event. Didn't really deal with thier staff or eat from the main restaurant. But the overall experience was great. The food that they had for the event was good too! The steaks were done perfectly which was impressive for mass production like that.

Nice club with helpful staff. Pretty clubhouse. Rather wet area, part of the club was quite wet due to high water levels on Lake Ontario. Very strict with pet-on-a-leash rules (not a bad thing). New docks that were floating were nicely done. A bit disappointed the transients charges were not reduced even a little since they had no power at the guest docks. Nice club overall; entertaining to see the evening party boats from Toronto going by with the crowds and music.

I have been a few times. First time "Andrew" the manager was very nice an acommodating. He said if you boat here and aren't a member we are still happy to have you come and eat lunch etc.as he appreciates the business especially to support the restaurant there. My family showed up a few times more and all of a sudden Andrew s tone changed. Not welcoming.walking around looking stressed out and we stopped feeling comfortable. Showed today and was made to feel very guilty as we didn't call to let someone know we were coming. Last time we were told just to let someone know when we docked. First time I was told to call. They don't answer the phone anyway as I have called in the past. It's unfortunate that we were made to feel so unwelcomed.we left and my kids cried. They need to get their story straight and treat people with respect. I'll take my money elsewhere.
