The people that “work” there are extremely unprofessional & lack knowledge. I think they take pride in being the worst in the business. Thankfully, there are plenty of stone yards around. We’ve shared our experience with friends and colleagues and one shared that they had the same experience.

We have shopped here for many years and have truly enjoyed our experience. We buy flowers and Christmas trees and plants and so much more. Such great quality goods.

I had a really terrible customer service experience at Islington Nurseries. I was given a warranty on a plant that I purchased and when the plant died a couple of weeks later, I followed the instructions that I was given to return the plant. At the store, I spoke with a manager who was incredibly rude to me. She berated me and implied that I was trying to take advantage of the store and the younger employee who gave me the warranty. The issue was brought to her boss and I was instructed to bring the plant in (again) and my warranty would be honoured. I honestly feel uncomfortable dealing with this manager and would rather lose the money than return to the store to be treated with the same hostility. Next time I will shop at one of the big box stores where plants are a third of the price and warranties are honoured.

I've shopped here twice now & both times I was helped by staff that knew so much more than basic internet searches could tell me.

Popped in to get a few veggie plants. They have a good selection and it wasn't overly busy

Not a good experience. Prices in store are extremely higher than online. Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Some of the plants indoor plants were in very bad condition

Had really unpleasant experience today just because wanted to exchange some bulbs that are zoned 7-10. The package had no mention of zone on it. I haven’t opened it and it was in perfect resale condition. All i wanted was to exchange to other bulbs that are more suitable for this climate. Also their receipt doesn’t even mention that everything is final sale! Needless to say never shopping there again.

I really love visiting Islington Nurseries. The store is on the smaller side but is absolutely packed with everything you need for plants, including the plants themselves! The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly, and their selection is fantastic. I've gotten many plants here and they are all thriving! In the summer they have an outdoor section as well that has a beautiful selection of perennials and annuals. A great stop for any plant lover.

I bought 6 packages of tulips. Next day when I visited another garden, I realized how much I overpaid: by $3 per a pack on average!

I recently purchased a poinsettia plant for $50.00.i asked for instructions for the care of it & assumed it would be easy to care for.the leaves all fell off in 2 weeks & when i threw it out it was full of worms.when i asked for a replacement i was told no.i would never shop here again.i am very good at caring for plants & feel that's the least they could do.i was told i either over or underwatered my plant.i explained i followed their instructions but they didn't care.it was a very expensive plant to have for 2 weeks.wouldn't it be good business to give me another plant? Now they have lost a customer who would have shopped there again.sarah mclean
