Ithaca Greek Mediterranean Restaurant

Ordered the seafood for 2. Came with 2 salads, 2 rice with vegetables, grilled salmon, grilled swordfish, 4 or 6 squid and a skewer of shrimp (6 shrimps). The squid was grilled perfectly, not overcooked. Salmon has a nice layer of flat makes it moist. Swordfish was kind of dry. Overall very good meal. Service is a tad slow even though only 5 tables were occupied.

I don’t live anywhere near Markham but I try to get a meal from Ithaca whenever I’m in the area. I usually get take-out from here, but finally had the chance to dine-in for lunch. I usually get the chicken souvlaki meal. The price is very affordable for the amount of food you receive. I love the garlic bread and salad. The rice is so flavourful and the chicken is extremely juicy. The service was excellent. I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman that served us, but he was really friendly. This place is probably my favourite Greek restaurant in all of the GTA.

We had a Meat Platter for two and dolmadakia as appetizer tonight.
We enjoyed the Greek salad, home-made dolmadakia and mousaka. But to our great disappointment the lamb chops and baby back ribs were hard and dry. It seemed they were leftover from the night before.

I get a lot of take out from this location. I do sit in at times too. I love the food. The service is okay. The atmosphere is decent. The food is the best thing.

Some of the best food I have ever had! Excellent service and dining experience. The atmosphere is unique and wonderful. Definitely not a cookie cutter restaurant.

Great Greek food, fresh ingredients and always consistent! Something about the house salad dressing keeps me coming back, and I don't even like salads haha.

Good food. Chicken souvlaki was tender and flavourful. Decent position sizes. Friendly staff and very helpful with questions. The rosemary fries (shaped like potato chips) are amazing. Especially if eaten hot in the.restaurant.the boiled potatoes included in teh dinner are also good. Our son loves them.

Portion size is good with a great service. We ordered Lamb roast and pork chops and meats were great, however vegetables that came with them were sub-par and needed better seasoning/salt.

Great fast friendly service. Food was above average for a franchise restaurant. Took my daughter to the men's bathroom and it was spotless. Great job

Danforth quality Greek food. Large portions and good value. The grilled calamari is fantastic and my favourite dish is the roast lamb, which is a bit messy because of all the bones but it's great for lamb lovers and people who like to pick at bones (that's me!)

Great authentic Greek restaurant. Food is fantastic, never had a bad meal here! The fellas who run the place are nice and friendly - also best fish and chips in town!

Dinner here made me SO HAPPY last night. Service was friendly, attentive and professional. The food was so delicious, the entire time I kept asking my partner "how is this so good? ". The first thing we received was hot garlic bread which definitely had fresh garlic on it. Then we had the grilled calamari which was fresh, perfectly grilled and a good portion for the two of us. For our mains, we each had a souvlaki dinner, chicken for me and mixed for my partner. It's hard to articulate just how succulent the chicken was. I'm so used to getting dry chicken souvlaki from other restaurants that this really blew me away. We mentioned how good the food was to one of the servers and they told us that the meat is grilled right when our (giant) starter salads come out, which perfectly explained why it was so good. Also they provided a good amount of tzatziki sauce that I wasn't worried about running out. I am so desperate to go back here. The take-out pick up area located all the way to the back, you have to walk throght the dinning room, pass some sections, seems like walking into the kitchen where area normally prohibited. People who picking up their orders would hesitate to go through for the first time. Then the waiter shouted at me for not going forward.

Did takeout, food was so yummy! Everything was cooked to perfection and good portions. Highly recommend.

This is a place with a European atmosphere and delicious Greek food.
We ordered a meat platter for 2. That was a lot of food and we couldn’t even finish it! Everything was so tasty I wish the wine was cold though.
The interior reminded me of the time when I was a little girl and walked down the streets of Santarini️
The stuff was really nice.

First time at this location, ambience was lovely, service provided by the gentleman was very quick and friendly.

First time coming here and within 60 seconds of walking in, my girlfriend and I were treated as family. We had the grilled calamari, chicken souvlaki dinner, and a mixed souvlaki dinner. Portions were incredibly generous that I struggled to finish what was on my plate. And the price point is phenomenal for the value you’ll get in terms of high service standards and quality of food.

Main point: I’m happy to have found this gem, I will absolutely come back, and if you haven’t been here, you should.

Ithaca is the best Greek restaurant in Markham. Full stop! We have dined in and have ordered take out here for years. Consistently fantastic! Sorry it took so long to leave a review! Enjoying the chicken souvlaki dinner as I write this.

My second time back and it didn't change my expectations. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.

Was a beautiful night, but they had the patio closed. Decided to get take out and eat at the park instead, the ladies working the take out window were rude, not at all friendly and looked miserable. Waited 20 mins for 2 veg wraps and a salad, asked for utensils but didn’t get any or napkins. Asked for no dairy as I’m allergic but there was still feta in the salad. The portions are considerably small considering the prices too. All in all I’d say after our experience, I wouldn’t recommend and we won’t come back

Food here was EXCELLENT. The prices were very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. I would HIGHLY recommend the moussaka. Servers were also very delightful, warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning, if not ordering delivery.
