It's The Cat's Meow Cafe

Small humble café, just located in the corner of Markham Main Street. The owner was very kind and gentle, one of the best coffee I’ve had in a while.

Posting a mixed review for this cute family-run curiosity of a place. The bagels and the toasted sandwich were served warm, buttery, and on rustic bread and it took 15 minutes to arrive when we were the only ones ordering. Steep stairs lead to seating and cramped, tired washrooms. The kitchen is also upstairs and did not look well lit or professional. I prefer my restaurants cleaner but enjoyed the food, server and decor.

Awesome place. Very nice people. Nice variety of food and drink. The Ice Cream is awesome. The overall experience is very good. The only real issues are it's small and narrow and has very limited seating. Worth a visit. There are no real cats there. It's a cafe not a petting zoo. Not sure what some people expected.

Best priced kawartha dairy ice cream in York region! I come for a tail come and sit in the quaint cafe.

I'm a coffee snob (I drink 25$+ cups of coffee over at hatch.which is also a business worth checking out) so I didn't try the coffee here and probably won't. Everything I've had here has been delicious and I have always been greeted with a smile and cheerfulness by it's lovely owner who is a very nice man.

The owner is very kind and cooks and everything. The café is quaint, and tucked just off the Main Street. There’s a guitar and ukulele that customers are welcome to play. I enjoyed my Earl Grey Tea (with oat milk) while playing on the instruments.

So review time, I ordered the Americano and my god it is great and when I mean great I mean perfect with the entire vibe, atmosphere. The entire place is a nice cozy little place to relax and drink coffee. I'd highly recommend coming!

The coffee on the other hand, My americano black. Now my goodness it's not too dark for my taste buds but it is perfectly their amd dark enough for myself. After a sip the beans and taste linger in the mouth and lungs. Such a delight! (Now I'm not a pro at drinking coffees but I've drank enough to know a great cuppa!

The best coffee shop in the GTA. Cute, quiet small spot with great prices and good drinks and breakfast. 10 stars. Will be back

Amazing place! The owner is friendly and welcoming, the coffee is great (ordered the cappuccino [cattaccino]), and the food here is great as well (ordered the poutine). Love the atmosphere here; very charming and relaxing. The decor is very cute! Overall, a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be coming back!

I regret ordering from here because after placing an order and waiting an hour, my order was cancelled without explanation. This forced me to change my plans for the day in order to eat and this is probably the last time I'll take a risk just to support a local shop.

Nicest little coffee shop around. It's my go to place for breakfast or lunch and for coffee in Markham. Great, welcoming feel to the place and Brian the owner is a big plus. Visit them during summer Saturday mornings for the framers market and Brian will be out front grilling on the barbecue. Food is always great.

Delicious coffee and ice cream! My son also loved the cat decor and kept himself busy counting the # of cats. We will definitely visit this place again:)

It’s nice but it’s like going to the neighbours for watered down coffee and a machine-made hot chocolate - maybe not exactly what we were hoping for? And for the vibe I guess we were expecting a home made chocolate & better coffee.

I've been coming here ever since I was a kid. The excellent food quality hasn't changed one bit & it's still the same cute, cozy place it's always been. The owner (Brian) is always super sweet & welcoming. Also has a ukulele & guitar that guests are welcomed to play.

Super quaint and cozy cafe. Good to spend an hour while sipping on hot chocolate or a coffee. Not a lot of options for food. Best way to support a local business. Plus you get to adore the numerous show pieces of all kinds. And of course, cat decor!

Have no words to describe the vibe here. Love it! Ordered egg, toast, coffee (all day breaskfast). Very thoughtful owner. Dish served was hot. Literally, hot dish! Like 5 stars fine dining restaurant.perfect sunny side up egg, perfect light crispy toast, not the hard crispy that could hurt your mouth, perfect latte coffee, perfect BGM.everything is so simple and yummy. Perfect morning!

Such a charming little cafe with lots of character. The owner was so sweet, and he made a cute little cat face in my latte! If I lived in Markham, I would be a frequent customer.
