Ivy Arms

Went here with some friends for dinner and drinks. Our server was not very personable and a bit rude. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which came with burnt pita that they hid under the bowl and we each got wings. I can see why people like the wings - they’re big and a good price with the daily special. They didn’t come with any vegetables.

Seemed like a lot of local folks came here to grab a beer and go on their way.

Glad I went and tried it after all these years. Don’t think I’d go back.

Classic pub experience.
Food = not bad.
Service = good, when you get it.
Atmosphere= comfortable, yet loud.

Five of us went for lunch. My wife ordered fish and chips. The fish was raw in the middle so we had to send it back. New piece of fish was delivered to our table and that was raw in the middle. I think the oil it was cooked in was too hot making the batter golden on the outside but not cooking the fish inside. Very disappointed.

My daughter says to me, "Dad there is an excellent bar in Milton called the Ivy Arms". I laughed loudly, as I'd been to this place many times over the years since before she was born. It's true though, it had been a while since I sat and heard live music, tasted the great food and enjoyed talking in a place where the patrons too are friendly and happy conversationalists.
The bartenders are clever and funny and always make you feel welcome. In recent years I tend to order the finger foods and they always taste great. The wings are well worth the price.
Live music is done tastefully and it is surprisingly easy to enjoy in a cozy place. Marco is quick with a joke and to light up your.well no.you can't smoke there.: P
It feels like a comfortable return to a nice place to be. Shout out to the many friendly Miltonians I meet there and chat with.

For years this has been our favourite pub in Milton, but more recently we have been disappointed in the food. We had friends visiting from out of town - people who have been to the Ivy Arms with us several times in the past - and none of us was happy with our meal. And this is not the first. It was similar the last couple visits; a couple of us were not happy with the meal. This lunchtime - I had the chicken parm sandwich, my wife the Buffalo wrap, my friend the Club and his wife had a burger (chicken I think). We all found the meat was quite dry. This was a Wednesday late lunchtime (1: 30-2: 30). The other issue - and I noticed this a couple times before this (hot) summer: the smell! There was a serious sewer smell. That is not the fault of the restaurant. It is the Town, but they need to fix that!

Classic pub with fantastic wings and a decent selection of beer on tap. Great covered patio with heaters for extended seasonal outdoor dining. Located centrally in Milton with lots of free parking. Is it a gastronomic wonder? I think it makes very credible pub food, but likely not going to get a Michelin star. Full bar as well - very friendly and accommodating. I'd drive out of my way if that's what you're craving.

Their wings are good, but somehow it was just too busy to have good service and good wings, the pop taste like water, it’s bad … I think they could at least serve proper pop if they are charging $3-4! Wings were warm at best… I know it’s a Wednesday but it was just meh

I had the California Burger. It was awesome! The service was fast and friendly. Great place to come, sit on the patio and have a beer.

Ambience is beautiful and service is great. Food is not the same it was too oiled and quality is not great.

I've never had bad service here. Best bang for buck in the GTA for prices. So glad there's still a bar where two can eat and have a couple drinks for less than $80. So refreshing. Thank you to the owners, good work.

Fun pub in downtown Milton. Indoor and outdoor seating all year long. Well-priced pub food.

Ordered wings for 2 people. One order was stone cold. Server never came to check how the food was, never came to ask for more drinks (would have bought more but didn't have a chance) and needed to ask for the bill twice.

Best place in Milton, hands down! Where else can you have 3 beers and a Buffalo chicken sandwich for less than $50?
