Never been to their retail store (and probably never will) but their online service is exceptional! They had a game in stock that I couldn't find anywhere else, so decided to give them a shot. I placed my order and they literally had it packed and shipped within an hour. Crazy fast! Tracking provided and quick shipping. Probably my new go-to for ordering online:)

Great selection, guys there are very helpful and knowledgeable. Prices in general are decent, and on the average is lower than the competitors. Jason and the guys at J&J have been very helpful and have earned my business.

Absolutely terrible business, i have given them so much money and they treat me as if i am disposable and could care less about me as a customer and as a human.constantly leaving messages read with no response and when asked to an answer or perhaps an apology all that was given was arguing and disrespect - this is the direct quote when i asked for an answer to their behaviour

Always a treat to shop here. Excellent selection of board, card, and tabletop games, figures, and other collectibles. They've been a staple of the Waterloo area for decades, and for good reason. Their staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

The ratings do not lie. This is an amazing store with friendly, knowledgeable staff and the best value and selection you will find anywhere in the region. Forget about ordering online, these guys will probably have whatever you are looking for on-hand at a similar value. Also, staff are great for recommendations, big help with holiday shopping! By far the best spot in the KW-region. I am a loyal customer of 10 years.

Best FLGS (friendly local game store) in Southern Ontario (including Toronto). Well stocked with a huge variety of games, and prices that are typically better than any competitor within 130 kms.

Expect to spend hours here! This store has so much to look at! The staff here are amazing in their knowledge of games and how they are played. Need a gift for a certain age, they can help with that too. Best store for unique games, collectibles, gifts. If you’ve never visited this store, you are in for a real treat!

Always wonderful! When I am not in town I really miss this store. They have a very impressive stock, organized by genre and very knowledgeable staff. The store also offers puzzles, dice, D&D campaigns, Warhammer minis and paints. You name it! You can also email them in advance to make sure they have a copy of whatever you are looking for or to see if they can get the game for you.

Great selection, great service, great place. I could spend HOURS in this store. I picked up a gift for my husband and my daughter and it was amazing! Both of them are very happy!

Been going here since I was a kid.best for collectors and gamers. They have like every board game imaginable.if your looking for it.they got it!

I find their prices to be best in the KW region (especially for pokemon cards). They offer a good selection in general and ordering online is nice and easy.

Staff is great and very knowledgeable. Great selection for whatever your gaming and hobby needs might be. Have allowed us to expand our board games so that movie night has now become board game night!

Incredibly good experience despite the issues of the pandemic.

I was helped patiently and effectively by a tall dude named Maverick and got exactly what I wanted in a very reasonable time. Will shop again.

This is an amazing local store to get your games at! If you know what game you want, it's there along with 1000s other games. If you don't know what game you want, go look around and one of their many knowledgable staff will help you find a game that's for you. Suggest a game you like or want similar to and the recommendations are spot on. I have never had a bad game suggestion. More importantly they are not pushy. They give their honest opinions and if you don't think it's for you, no worries. A great place to go for anyone looking to buy!

Overall great staff. One major complaint is the hard to see signs for social distancing and the lady employee at the front getting a bit salty when you refuse their hand sanitizer. Improve those things and maybe stock newer items

We went there for some co-op board games to play (Covid), the guy helping us knew a lot about the games we were looking at, so thank you, we bought 2 of them and they were great.

Amazing, best store, I love it here. I hadn't been since before Covid-19 and went back the other day and instantly felt at home. The only downside is every time I go I spend far too much money because they have every game I want and every game I didn't yet know existed but wanted. 10/10 if you're into anything like ttrpgs, board games, puzzles, or even are just interested in trying any of those things out casually I would highly recommend checking out the store. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and kind, and fun to talk to since they're interested in all the sorts of things in the store.

Great selection of games, as well as merchandise for other hobbies. I only frequent the game section, but this is the place to go in town for any of your hobby needs. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Prices are fantastic as well and though it's tough to compete against online only retailers, these guys come close, and I am happy to pay a little extra to get to speak to someone if I have any questions. I've purchased dozens of games from this store, too many to count.

Love J & J and have for years. I always make a point to buy from them versus the big box stores. My favourite thing about their shop is walking through and being able to spark up conversations with others who are passionate about playing games and never being too old to embrace imagination and play.

Not really my kind of store, but they have an incredible selection of board games, and the staff new exactly where everything was, And they were very helpful. It is a really cool unique store, and I'm really glad we have this in the city

I love the collection of games j and j have. The best part is that they keep having these amazing offers where you buy two games and get the third one free. If you are in to board games this is one spot to frequent. I have compared prices on line and with this store and most of the times the store has much better offers. They definitely have a huge variety and I'd highly recommend this spot for all board game lovers.

I love this store. So many things you can't find in normal stores and very knowledgeable staff. My favourite thing is that they open and repackage the mystery Lego figures so you can see which one you're getting!

I've been coming here for all my gaming needs for over 20 years. I'm not sure why I haven't written a review before. J&Js is awesome. They have an excellent selection of board games, puzzles, toys and more. On top of that their prices are always fair and the staff are nice and resourceful. I imagine I'll be coming here for board games for at least another 20 years.

Every time I come here, the staff are always friendly and helpful. Their selection of games is second to none and people are always ready to give a recommendation on what to play next.

Been going here since 2003. Amazing place. Even days where Ive havent purchased something, it is just an awesome place to talk Star Wars, gaming. Other hobbies etc. Games Workshop cant compete.

Will definitely be back. Great selection of games, they got some deals going on in the front of the store with some amazing prices. I walked in looking for a game I didn't know the name of and a gentleman knew exactly what it was when I described it to him. Very impressed by the knowledgeable staff. Decently organized, they had topics for like 2 players, new games etc. I wish they had a party game section or a popular game section. Bought 2 games and happy with the prices:)

Great spot for nerds. Warhammer, D&D, Magic The Gathering games and supplies. The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly to me, they have Funky figures not found elsewhere in the city. The aisles are somewhat cramped however, and some higher shelves are unreachable without assistance, even for a 6'1" fellow like myself.

These guys are so incredibly helpful when you are looking for card games or board games. They take their time, explaining the virtues of various options as they take their cues from your needs. Top marks for fantastic customer service!
