J & J Swagat Banquet Halls

My experience at J & J Swagat was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue for anyone looking to host a special event. They offer a perfect blend of excellent service, a beautiful atmosphere, and a dedicated team that will collaborate with you to make your event unforgettable. I can't thank them enough for helping us create a memorable event that exceeded our expectations.

The parking here is awful, very limited and behind the banquet hall where the garbage bins and shipping/receiving is. The hals itself are ok

My friend made a booking here months in advance, but Swagat changed his booking a fews days before the event to a different, smaller hall. Gave my friend a hard time overall. Unprofessional.

On April 29 2023 My friend made a booking here months in advance, but Swagat changed his booking before the event to a different, smaller hall. Switched to a smaller room with 3 days notice with no recourse. Crammed 80 people in a 50 people hall. Guests had a terrible time. I’m surprised an establishment can get away with this.
Never booking this hall.

Not enough parking. Winter time very limited parking.
Roof ceiling repair going on.
But OK for people looking for cheap alternative.

There is friday pray / cuma namazı in here every week. It starts at 2pm Plaza’s entrance is from hood Rd. Building entrance is on the other side (closer side to warden ave). After entering the building, go left side and that’s the place. Also, there is a washroom for wudu.

Went to my friends Walima here, it was a great spot for the night, but the parking lot was a bit sketchy.

We recently had a family event at J&J and it was an amazing experience. From the start Mr. Syed was helpful, professional and provided very good suggestions to make the event successful. The service was exceptional and everyone loved the food. Thank you Mr. Syed and the team for a memorable day!

Good customer service, I wanted half seating on the ground and half on tables for my Walimah (marriage reception). The owner arranged it. And he also arranged male servers for men side and female servers for women side as I requested.

If I could give zero stars I would.

STAY AWAY FROM J & J Swagat.

We had a booking (paid deposit + contract) for a mehndi event in June between 100-200 guests. A few weeks ago we got a call asking us if we could move our booking to their other smaller location (located 15 minutes further), as a party of 400 wanted to book the space we already booked. We said no as it was an inconvenience to our guests due to further travel, also we had already confirmed all the details months prior for the hood road location.

A few days later we get a call saying they "accidentally" double booked us and "forgot" to put our booking in their system. How do you accidentally forget to enter a booking into a system with a deposit of $1000.00 already paid and contract signed. Its clear as day the owners (Joseph and Syed) double booked purposefully so they could accommodate the larger guest party. They then tried to get us to take their other location, to which we said no. Not giving these guys a penny.

They will only care about you until a larger party comes then will find a way to kick you out. Stay away in my opinion.

My response to the owner's reply (since replies have been turned off) : That is a flat out lie with all due respect. We never wanted the BurOak location. We visited your Hood road location LAST YEAR, signed a contract AND paid a deposit for the Hood road location (why would we pay a deposit for a venue we never saw, how does this make sense?). Also, you giving us back the deposit wasn't some courtesy you did for us.it was my money. You just returned my money for essentially double booking on purpose in an attempt to move us to a smaller venue we never saw.

Friday prayers are performed regularly every week. Start time is 2pm (two in the afternoon) entrance to the plaza is from the Hood Rd side, entrance to the building is from the back of the building (Warden Ave side). After entering the building, the mosque is on the left. Ablution areas are available.

We had a Diwali party the hall and service is excellent. Food Quality is very good. Mr. Syed is very nice and he did whatever he promised.

Suggestion: It will be good appetizer also buffet instead of serve and table cleaning is not perfect after appetizer.

We had the best service/experience for our daughter's birthday. Mr. Syed is such a sweet, humble man who took our calls anytime of the day & helped with everything. His staff were very helpful the day of. Food was amazing! Left our guests in awe with how tasty the food was.

The GOOD: Hired staff servers were good people! The hall is a nice setup, and washrooms were clean.

The NOT Good: The food quality needs a lot of improvement. I am trying to be nice.most guests went home without eating and wasted the food they did not like.
Especially with such a high cost per person!

I just had my daughter's 1st birthday party here and was so happy with the venue and the service! The staff and owner were so accommodating and helped to make my event just perfect!

The hall is organized and decorated very well. The staff are friendly and kind with good customer service. The hall served their own food they have best food options Thank you:) floor manager was extremely extremely kind and help me thank you

Plenty parking, overall great place

I was invited as a guest but couldnt stay longer than 30 minutes. It was too hot. I was literally cooking inside this convention center.

We used JJ Swagat as the caterers for our wedding reception. We book them in 2019 but had to reschedule numerous times due to Covid restrictions. We had to reduce our numbers but JJ delivered excellent food. Our guest raved about it. Would recommend using them, especially their catering service. They can handle both small and large events and their quality is still the same.

Had memorial day lunch at J & J today and friends commended the lunch was very good.
Service also very good.

A wel maintained halls. Have variety of food manues at cheaper rate. One can plan functions there.

The hall itself and it's service are great. But the parking lot is a nightmare. Especially in the winter, snow removal is slow or non existent. Too many deep pot holes/sink holes that can cause damage to non SUVs/trucks.

Many of my extended family members use this venue for larger gatherings and it always goes well.

Inside was nice, clean, polite. Parking lot needs snow removal. Many parking spots wasted by snow pile.

Decent and well decorated banquet hall. Variable capacity poses a noise challenge though. Loud noises from the neighbouring functions disrupt the rituals that require silence. Rest of the facilities are adequate.

We had an excellent experience with J & J, as we had our son's wedding here. The hall was bright, large, and had great lighting. The food was excellent and was complimented by many of our guests that came. Special thanks to Mr. Syed, who went out of his way in supporting us and helping us put together the excellent event. We are very grateful to the entire management, employees, and of course Mr. Syed, for all of their hard work and for their terrific organization!

The place looks amazing but their staffs were really rude, would really appreciate if the place was cleaner.

The entire staff, including the MC and the waitresses try their best for a beautiful gueat experience.

I am dis satisfied of thiis banquet hall it is such a waste and rip off i very highly wouldnt recommend this hall to anyone nor would i persuade them to go to this hall or would i ever go to this cheap hall. I rate this a 0.the staff are bad ESPECIALLY Tension Joseph he is sooooo mean he shouldnt even work there

Beautiful setup and decoration. Really friendly staff and they did amazing decoration for our events. The organizer is really co operative and the place is really great looking from inside. The ambient light and decoration is pretty beautiful. A perfect place for any kind of occasion.

What a surprise party on my 70th birthday, I was impressed and appreciated the combination of very friendly management and staff who absolutely cooperatively managed one of the best party of my life.

Horrible experience amid the covid crisis. The venue refused to give back our deposit, rather insisted that we have credit for a future event. Rude customer service. Will not be hosting future events at this venue.

Nice sized hall. The wall between the two halls should be a little thicker because all we could hear was the music next door during our speeches. Staff was very helpful and accommodating!

The Owner is unfavorable and nasty person. He doesn't know how to talk with people and totally effortless man i have seen in my life. I don't know how this illiterate person is running business with senseless mindset though. He deserves 0 star but there is no option. I would say to all people never ever go there better to do your event at decent place, Pay little bit more but do not waste your money and time by going their.

This place was okay. Not great. I do not like the layout. The hall is very narrow and main events are held at one end. The tables at the back always have a hard time hearing and seeing what's going on. The projector screens are also not always visible. I've been to 3 + events here, and the food has yet to please me.

Avoid this place at all cost
If not go ahead and find out your self and ruin your big day!

What a naughty photo and videographers they align with. If you want to forget the photo & video go ahead and book with them. They (photo videographer and hall people) all blame each other’s. They will have 1000s stories to tell you. Thank god they haven’t tell me ‘dog ate the photos videos’ yet! Photo and video look cheap but stay away from them. Even after so many months hall people also talk different.

Pleasantly surprised. Banquet hall in industrial area. A large variety of food. It was clean. Needed more waiting staff to collect played and glasses. The breeze from outside was at times unbearable.

We hosted our daughter's first birthday over the weekend. Feedback from our guests were amazing. Food was delicious, servers were on top of everything. Would highly recommend J&J Swagat.

I found the banquet hall horrible. The beginning process was great but during the actual event everything fell apart. The manager added things which were not necessary. I had an MC who was appointed by the hall who made changes to the decor when not asked for. He was rude to guests and I felt that none of the staff helped with nothing. The servers were nice and the food was great. But everything else was a mess.

A year ago I went to this place and the experience was absolutely horrible. I assumed that after a year things would get better. However I was completely wrong. The veggie pakora frozen and over cooked, samosa was complete trash and the chicken was RAW. Not to mention that the servings was very small. Do not recommend you cater from here. When I complained to the staff they were very rude. Some even used profanity in Tamil and when I asked my friend what they ment I was shocked to my core. Please if your planning a wedding or any event look away and choose somewhere else.

On September 28,2019, I attended this spot for a conference.
Although this hall is smaller than what I'm used to, it was decent enough for everyone.
The restroom is very clean and accessible, as well the decoration in the room.

Victor did an outstanding job in looking after our needs and making sure everything goes smoothly. Keep it up!

Not bad. Small hall and parking is an issue here. Looks like they have done some upgrades inside though.

I want to give this place zero stars. We booked two rooms for our banquet several months in advance and they confirmed everything with us. They took our deposit and told us we would be getting those two rooms. We asked for a written statement but they assured us that we would have those rooms. But later two weeks prior to my event, they forget and give one of those rooms to someone else. We ask to compensate for their mistake, but they take no responsibility. They wouldn't give us the money back for the room they gave to someone else. They won't upgrade our dinner menu. They were rude and yelling and screaming at us and told us it's somehow our mistake. Please, please avoid this place at all cost!

We had our first Human Necessity Foundation event in Swagat Banquet Hall. It was an amazing event, Ijaz Shah, one of the owner of Swagat Banquet Hall took care of everything personally and made sure we have good event. Food was excellent and staff was amazing:)

J&J SWAGAT IS A VERY GOOD BANQUET HALL. THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY NICE, AND THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND YOU CAN HAVE YOUR OWN PARTY AND THEY HAVE LOTS OF VARIETIES OF MENUS TO SELECT FROM THE PRICES ARE GOOD. ONLY THING IS THAT NOT MANY PARKING SPOTS BY THE BANQUET HALL AND THERE IS PARKING SPOTS BY THE NEXT BUILDING. THE PLACE IS CLEAN AND THHEY HAVE 3 HALLS TO CHOOSE FROM.

Servers were nice. Food was good. However servers rudely and loudly placed food in the hot trays while a vow renewal was happening. Then, the servers loudly cleared appetizer plates while the ring exchange was happening during the renewal. Next during dinner the servers didn't not remove dirty plates. Guests had to put them away themselves. Following dessert th servers cleared dessert plates while speeches were happening. Absolutely unbelievable we will not have an event here again nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

The venue has nice decorations with rows of nice chandeliers. Unfortunately the sound proofing wasn't very good between halls. Our party was being drown out by the music and announcement from the neighboring hall. Also the drive towards the entrance made us second guess whether we were going to the right address as it is in the middle of industrial units.

My brother had his daughter's first birthday party four years ago and paid for video and now she is four years still we are waiting for the video.

Second time attending a function here. Place looks tired and could do with some sprucing up. Food was good.

Booked a party yesterday 12th January 2019.the heating system not working at all.the manager Thenison said this not out fault, you should cancelled the party.

The hall was nice from inside but not big enough for the gathering.they need to be careful with the number of guests.
The outside look of the hall and the parking was terrible.
The appetizers were good but the dinner was not.
