Cass was our person and she was fabulous. Attentive, caring and sharing, she really looked after us.the food was exactly as we wanted and expected. The service was prompt and attentive, without being intrusive.
My partner had the fish tacos (2) and I had the Holy Smoke BBQ burger. We started with the lobster & crab dip. It was all tasty and well portioned without being "American sized" (read: HUGE).
The staff were wonderful. The food came out quickly. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with fries. I’m sad to say that the fries were terrible. They tasted old and reheated. I wish they could have made me a fresh serving.
The first was excellent.order The crab and lobster dip it was on point. The steak was ok, just a bit too much fat around the edges. The burger was very good. The place was spacious and clean our waitress was very friendly and our order was super fast. Nice place for a date night or just hanging with family or friends.
We were served by, Cass me and my guest were merely discussing, amongst ourselves, about sharig the food. When she heard that she took upon herself to inform the kitchen in order to dev8de our food. Furthermore, she provided a fast and friendly service to us which left us surprise and eager to come back to this location. Thank you Cas
Food was 5/5 across the board. The burgers were especially excellent. Wraps were delicious. Wings were 3.5/5 but everything else was so good that I'm still giving 5 out of 5 overall.
Came into Toronto for a very serious medical appointment and afterwards wanted to sit down somewhere and eat, kiss factor. Came across an old faithful, JACK ASTORS. Today Jacks was perfect for the occasion. Our server, Paige was outstanding on every aspect of a good server, however Paige waS GREAT! My wife and I appreciated her very much! Thank you Paige Jacks did good
They were rejected, because my child and I went in with fresh juice, and jacks do not offer any fresh juice we knew, so we went to Joey have steak, they are friendly. And by the way, my family went to this jacks every week, nice food, but insolence.
We had a bad experience, ordered burger, came later and the patties were burnt. We sent it back and no one one even said sorry for the experience or anything.
JA's was great tonight. Our party (4 adults, 2 children) came in for an early dinner, and were pleasantly greeted and waited on by Matt. He was very personable and professional, which made any small errors coming out from the kitchen an easy and comfortable fix. He anticipated our needs instead of waiting to be asked (he kept the refills of drinks coming which was a great touch!).
He did a wonderful job taking care of us during our stay!
Tall boys on special meant a few more drinks than I expected to drink haha. Overall excellent experience with food tasting delicious and service was prompt and attentive.
I'd give more stars if I could! Was there last night and it was such a great atmosphere. The food was amazing, and our waitress went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience. Cassandra was very polite and attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. I would 10000% recommend!
A big shout out to the management of this location, and the server who served us in the patio “Rachel”. The service in this location is absolutely amazing! Went for dinner on Wednesday (Oct 06), One of the Propane heaters was out of service and the manager himself was spending so much time to find us a new one. He was checking all fhe heaters himself and really trying his best to make us feel at home! I was there with my 8-month-old baby and It was really important for me to see how he is trying to make us feel warm and cozy! Honestly, haven’t seen such a great service for a long time! Thank you to the manager of this location and the great team who are working with him!
Food was delicious! Service was very kind. Our server Bronson was great in giving us meal suggestions and being patient as we took so long to order. Even when the restaurant started getting really busy, Bronson still made efforts to check in on us and ensure our experience was best. Music and atmosphere was good, the restaurant would be ideal for dates to family outings. Great spot, can't go wrong with Jack's!
Layout and dining of this particular Jack Astors is what you'd expect: presentable and gorgeous inside look and great staff. Tons of nice menu items to choose from, though mostly the dishes are burger related. If choosing one of the many restaurants on Shops at Don Mills, this is an option worth considering.

Came here for dinner on Saturday night. Totally chill environment. When the rain started pouring we were caught out sitting in the patio. Our server Bronson was awesome and got us a seat inside the restaurant asap. Thanks again Bronson!
They don't take reservations for the patio and just to ask whether a table is available at the patio we had to wait for 10 mins because they were so slowwww at taking inqiuries. Also they don't shift you to the patio once you're seated inside. Luckily our server was pretty smart and effecient so she saved the day.
One of our favourite places to eat. Service is always great, food is good and it’s a relaxing atmosphere. We especially love when Rachel serves us - she is fun and professional and always makes the experience amazing!
One of the most consistent restaurants for pub/ bar food. Great atmosphere to bring family and or friends. Large screens to enjoy the game or a family area to enjoy a dinner. Staff and very friendly and known how to joke around which is a plus during covid times. Food was good, drinks were tasty. Social distancing measures in effect.
Matt provided exceptional service! Just as I was about to ask for a refill it was brought to the table. Furthermore, dinner was split and brought for two without my having to ask. Prompt and thoughtful service!
Had dinner with my gf sitting at the patio and order Crispy chicken sandwich and the bun was ice cold. How hard is it to warm up the buns? The sandwich was mediocre and fries were tasteless. On top of it, the server brings out ketchup in disposable cup when I asked for it. I rather go to other restaurants for the food you get here. Very disappointed.
Really disappointed. I went few times this location wasn't like that. But after COVI19, reopen.so we went Saturday night July 24. I ordered steak well done, but I didn't get it. Bowl of salad with chicken $24? Unbelievable. Servers are rush to go home.not offering any desert after dinner. Servers don't want to come to table.ignore us.
This used to be my go to location every time I craved Jack Astor’s. I’ve been going to this one since 6+ years but honestly the only reason I would go is because I loved the food and drinks but the service was never good. The servers aren’t the nicest. The managers don’t do anything to rectify the situation.
We had an amazing server, Sarah! However, it seems as though our table was double booked and management wanted us out of there rather than spending more money.
Rude female servers unless you are a man they don't treat you nicely. I don't know why they have managers when all they do is make excuses and cover up for their ignorance. I used to like a few servers who are not working here anymore. Food is average, prices have gone up and customer service skills are extinct.
Ok so being selective meat eater (halal only), I'd to settle for veggie option. Took my chances with the thick cut bruschetta and it did not disappoint. Flavorful, creamy and punchy. Well topped off with tomatoes, cheese, balsamic reduction drizzle and dashes of creamy aioli, not compromising or overshadowing the goodness of the bread itself. I could clearly taste and appreciate the fresh crispness of the bread underneath. And we all know by now Jack Astor's pricing so this little stomach full of starter was around 18$ with tax.and default service fee.
Nicely renovated and great service. Enjoyed the food too. The only reason I don't give a higher rating is because this chain is everywhere and it's not exciting since all the chains serve the same things.
I used to be a regular customer and this location was my favorite. Unfortunately, the menu, the food quality, and the service were much better before.
Tonight, my kids and I went there after a long time, but I was disappointed with the quality of food and service I received. Maybe it was a bad luck and our Waiter wasn't as caring. Since it used be my favorite place, I'm giving it 3 stars.
Food is pub style, not bad, portions are good size & as a vegetarian there are a few good items. Staff is great, good for a group meet up, not so much for a date.
Decent food, ok service. The servers mostly act like zombies, but I guess millennials can’t be expected to have real personalities. Too bad because the location is good and even though finding a parking spot can be tough, they have some big screen TVs to show games on. Nice little patio on the side for the summer.
We went to celebrate My Grand Daughter Sadie's 5th Birthday. What an amazing afternoon, the Staff (Camika) was so attentive, Good Time had by all. Thanks Jack Astors.
My dish was too expensive for the content it is served. The beef was crumbled and just a few pieces of vegetables came.for $30 dollars I eat much better in another place. Despite this fact the place is cool but I do not think i will come back there to eat thesame thing.

Definitely my favourite Jack Astor’s location. The management team here is first class and I love how engaging the staff are. Please never take the tuna guacamole off the menu! Excited to return to this spot now that they’ve renovated!
They changed their menu a bit. The changed their burgers which used to be great. Not anymore. I did t enoy it and won't be getting it again, if I go back.
I phoned on Monday, March 4 to book a table for March 8 for 13 people and somebody confirmed my reservation. We work at Shops @ Don Mills and were planning a work celebration at that location.
The following day, I received a phone call saying that they had to cancel my reservation due to renovations that had started 10 minutes ago.
I don't understand why I wasn't told about this the day before. Do they plan renovations at the last minute?
Not very happy with the way things were handled with this reservation because the person who contacted me to cancel didn't even say: "sorry for the inconvenience caused. "
This is the second time they messed up with a reservation I made at this location. About 2 months ago, I phoned the day before to book a table for 10 people. The reservation was confirmed and I was asked my name and phone number. The following day, when my friends arrived for dinner they were told that there wasn't a reservation in my name. I phoned the restaurant and they said: You and your friends are just going to have to wait about 40 minutes because it's quite busy.
This is unacceptable! Although I love the food there, I won't go back to this location again.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was laid back. The staff were helpful without hovering. With the exception of waiting for the bill, I enjoyed my visit and would go again.
