My husband and I love going every Friday evening to listen to the fantastic music the DJ provides. The food has been excellent and the staff fantastic!

I've always enjoyed Jack's. I took several people in recently. I chose the most expensive burger, double patty and fries. BOTH parties were BURNT, not well done, Burnt. I also had fries. I thought i was at MacDonald's but MacDonalds fries are better. A thin, cheap fry with little taste.
A very disappointing meal.

We had an AMAZING dining experience last night at Jack Astors! Our sever Shelia was so pleasant, attentive and really exemplified all the attributes of what defines great customer service. Would definitely recommend Jack's and ask for Shelia!

Took the wife and kids out for dinner to Jack Astor’s. We have been here many times. Almost always a good experience. Our server was Eric who did an excellent job! Our meals were all very good but my son and I shared the wings he got and we both felt really sick the next day and spent the majority of it in the washroom. My wife and daughter didn’t have wings and were fine. My other question is did you change your pan bread? It just wasn’t the same! If you did, change it back pls! Best thing on the menu Asiago chicken bow ties! Must try!

Great atmosphere here fast friendly service from check in to food service. Marissa our server was awesome. Even recommended the new wine list.

Amazing food, service and ambiance. Personable service staff, and they were attentive and helpful. Definitely the best Jack Astor’s I’ve been to! 5/5 recommend!

Service was super, too bad the food wasn't as good. Just mediocre, I could've made it, which isn't saying much. I had the chicken parmigiana.it didn't have any zing to it. I was looking for an authentic flavour, too bad.what happened Jack Astor's?

We had a great time at Jack Astor's in Ancaster. Food and service were awesome. It was nice to meet the new general manager, Emily, as well. Keep up the great work! We'll be back!

Taking covid precautions seriously! Everything was clean, staff wearing masks, checking vaccinations - super friendly staff and management, especially Katie. Food is awesome, just like before Covid!

The staff are so friendly, the restaurant is super clean and the food and drinks came exactly as expected.
We came in on the Sunday of Thanksgiving and were pleasantly surprised with the level of service we received. We will definitely be back!

This location is probably our favorite and for so many reasons! The staff is amazing and the manager is top notch. Even on a super busy evening our experience was wonderful. The food was great, the atmosphere was welcoming and staff was friendly and helpful.

Music is too loud in restaurant.
Waitress said it is controlled but head office which sounds like an excuse. Maybe head office needs to visit the restaurant. I have been here before and it wasn’t that loud.
Service was good when we could hear the server.

My husband and I went to dinner last night and the food and service were amazing. We had Taylor as our server and he was outstanding. He was attentive and made sure we got everything we ordered. He's been there for years and says he stands by the menu and rightfully so cuz everything we had was delicious. Looking forward to seeing Taylor at this Jackastors location again.

A wonderful time with great food, good music and fabulous service courtesy of Marissa, who was not only efficient and attentive, but provided that extra level of comfort with helping us decide on what to order. Our go-to hangout for a nice family lunch.

I've been coming to this location since I was a kid, and I came today for my 26th birthday. Neither I nor my family have ever had a bad experience here. I love the way they've set up the restaurant with COVID protocols, and it felt like they were taking the pandemic really seriously while still maintaining the ambiance, which is hard to do. Our server was awesome! Super prompt and personable, and made me feel special! I didn't catch his name, but he was working in the bar. I saw him taking care of other tables, answering the phone, making drinks for the servers' tables, yet we never waited a second for his service. He was awesome! We also all really enjoyed our food:) the asiago chicken bowtie never disappoints!

Don't know whats been going on but ever since re-opening (covid reopen) everything has gone downhill. Not just this location but the located in Eastgate Mall. My pasta was over cooked and the chicken was under cooked. On top of that the pasta had hard plastic in it, like it was from a broken cap or something. Been going to this restaurant (franchise) for over 15 years (Bow-tie pasta hooked me) I think I'll try again in 5 years, if its still in business ‍️. #SorryNotSorry

Our family had a great time eating delicious food at you restaurant. Waitress Diana was committed to great service and was very professional. Management takes very good care of this place with respect to customers.

After some confusion with a takeout order, we were put in contact with Manager Dan. We were very impressed with the way he handled the situation! He made no excuses and told us how he was going to address the problem to avoid the situation for other customers in the future. We are loyal Jack Astors patrons and will continue to be thanks to Dan- you rock!

Jack Astors is a great experience. Diane, our server was super friendly, attentive and fantastic. Our food came out quick and was very tasty. We will definitely be back.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning, good selection of wine, fresh draft beer. Deserts selestion needs improvement. Big thanks to the professional manager who put clients first when it comes to unprecedented situation with booking. Didn't get his name but thanks anyway. Our waitress Diana was professional about standard. We love this place and will continue to visit.

Ordered a hamburger on the gluten-free bun, waitress was super helpful and understanding of my allergy. Food and service was great my family and I look forward to dining-in again sometime soon

We were the only people sitting on the patio, and rarely saw the server. We arrived and sat for 15 minutes before having to get ourselves drink menus from another table. Waitress got my order wrong and then charged me for extra for something I didn't order. I've had good experiences at other jack astors but this was my first time at the Ancaster location and it was not good.

I was there tonight (Aug 31st) and had no idea who my waiter was. My grandma and I sat down and waited 10mins or so before anyone came over. A girl who wasn't serving our section asked if anyone had been over to us and we said no. She ended up taking our order. A guy ended up bringing our food over. He didn't say much, thought he was just a runner. Not once did someone come over and ask us how the food was. It didn't help that the fries were barely warm. I asked another waitress for a takeout container (since I didn't know who was serving us). As she came back I asked for the bill, she said I'll get him. I said, "Okay, I don't know who he is. " It turned out to be the guy that just gave us our food (Genom). Never introduced himself, nothing. Overall really disappointed in the service.

Great staff, great food. David from the bar was amazing. He was super friendly and recommended everything I got. The food could not of been better!

Food is way overpriced. Used to love going here but it's just not the same. Poor customer service as well.our server forgot our drinks 3 times, brought some other tables bill WITH our dessert then asked how we were going to pay WHILE WE HAD JUST STARTED TO EAT IT! Then as we were paying they were hovering, but when we needed to have them check on us they were with any other table except ours.

I believe it’s a great place. Been their at the other locations. BUT They wrote clearly close at 1 am and we drove all the way from downtown Toronto here and they closed. Extremely disappointed. Good night bye now.

Went here with family for my birthday & we were very disappointed with the food & definitely wouldn’t recommend. I chose it based on the online menu which requires selecting location. I’m vegetarian & was really looking forward to the cauliflower bites & veggie burger. But at the restaurant neither of these were on the menu (only a black bean burger not the soy one I wanted) The pastas, fajitas, & quesadillas had no vegetarian option like they do at most restaurants. So I ordered nachos and asked for no green peppers & the jalapeños on the side, instead got no jalapeños & peppers on side. The nacho chips were coated in a weird spice that made them virtually inedible. My sisters burger came with cheese & other toppings she didn’t like and didn’t want that were not listed on menu. My brother in law ordered medium rare steak & got medium. Mom ordered medium & got medium rare. Boyfriends “pan seared” tuna was pretty much raw, fortunately he likes sushi. Server was friendly and thoughtfully offered to bring kids meals out first which was good, but their pizzas were so undercooked that I would much rather they had taken longer and been properly cooked. The garlic bread was really delicious, so that I would recommend if you go there.

Used to be great, back in the "Road Kill Chicken" days, but they have officially exceeded

We go to Jacks at least once a month to enjoy nachos! But super disappointed in being ripped off when you order take out! Our nachos for take out were maybe half of what we receive in store. We also paid for double cheese and that def did not happen! I have pics to show but can’t on this!

It is normally a very good place to eat. Always good food if they can get the order right. I say that only because you couldn't hear yourself think. I'm sure the waitress didn't hear what I ordered.it was so loud! A large group of people were there and took the full length of the restaurant. We were there around 6 pm.she said they would be leaving soon they had been there since 3: 30. We ate and had desert and were gone by 7: 30. They were still there! So loud and drunk? It would be great if there was a separate room for them (large groups) so that they don't disrupt other people in restaurant. I know on two occasions people who were seated beside us got up and left before they ordered. Plus chairs were being taken to accommodate all the people in this large group who kept coming. Not a great experience for us that evening.: (

5 star. Food was great, service was great, server's were professionals and friendly. I will definitely be returning and recomending. Great place over all.

Our waitress was ok-super friendly but really slow.
The portions were small for the price and it seemed to take forever.
It's sad that this location isn't the greatest however the one on Front St in Toronto is amazing. Wont be back to this one.

Excellent place for vegetarians and vegans to eat. You can substitute tofu for the fajitas and and most any other meals.

Great food staff is friendly and the price of the food is on average with most road house restaurants.

Nothing but great things to say about this restaurant, I have visited twice. First dish I got was the chicken sandwich which was totally great. The second dish I had was the chicken parm and that was pretty good as well. The service was great, food got to the table in great time, could have been slightly more diligent on drink refills. It's worth the little extra you are paying compared to other restaurants. You get what you pay for. Highly recommend!

This place is perfect for whatever mood you are in. If you want pub"ish" food or want a fancy dinner without dressing up, then this is the place for you. The staff are super friendly and it is a fun environment.

It is more expensive than expected, but it is worth it.

It never disappoints. I had the chicken tenders woth buffalo sauce and it was super yummy. The service was great and arrived hot and quite quickly.

My family and I came for dinner this evening (table of 6 adults 1 child) and the food and service was absolutely terrible.

My husbands chicken parmesan tasted like cigarette smoke (as if someone left on a smoke break, came back in and didnt wash their hands).

My smokey bbq burger looked totally charred (and not in that warm, grilled kind of way). When I cut it apart the burger wasnt even warm. Cheese that was on it was stone cold and not melting. Obviously it had been sitting and waiting to be served for some time.

The server knocked the burger and its toppings off my plate by accident while getting our son his pizza, and did not offer to take it to the kitchen to replace/fix it.

It took ages for us to recieve our bill. The waiter did more singing of what was on their background music, than actually interacting with the customers or checking in to ensure a quality experience.

We won't be returning.

I was left a totally disappointed with the nacho app. This item needs a major remake from the exec chef as there is absolutely nothing memorable about something that should be a staple offering.

Seriously, these guys would be better off handing out bags of Doritos. Go with another choice.

Was here years ago. COMPLETELY different place, food and environment. Recommend this restaurant to everyone around the neighbourhood

The food here is always delicious. It’s a really nice place to go and chill and chat. I love that they don’t try to rush us out as some places do. One of the nicest places on golf links rd in Ancaster

There are a lot of 1 star reviews and I'm not surprised. My husband and I came here for a date night as we are new parents and needed a night out.big mistake. The server, though very nice, was extremely slow and any time we needed something he was never around. But the biggest disappointment was THE SHORT N CURLY that I found in my pasta. One that I had found and had to hold in my fingers for what seemed like an eternity before the server came to see how we were. Also super disappointing was the fact that I saw our server tell the manager yet he didn't even come over to apologize. Yes, they gave the entree for free but didn't offer much else. Would NOT recommend this place at all.

Fantastic food! I had the fingers tossed in hot sauce with I believe honey. Recommend by our server. I cant remember her name but she has been with Sir Corp for over 15 years.and she was also cute haha. Anyways.good job to the Jack's team. Our server two thumbs up whoever she was.
All in all the store was clean.kitchen nice from what I could see. Greta food professional staff. 5 * Jack's ancaster.
