Way too overpriced for the quantity you get e.g. Chicken wonton nachos for 17$ just 6 bite size pieces.paid over $500 for 6 adults and 2 kids, and we didn't even drink any Alcohol. Insane.

I dined here a few times, and it's always a good time. I enjoyed the food and the music. My most recent waitress was Seema, and she's awesome.

I came here with my girlfriend and had a fantastic time! Our server, Coltan, gave us great service, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back to this location!

Stefka - Provided such a warm and welcoming environment to have lunch in. We started on the patio and when it rained she promptly moved us inside without hesitation to make sure we were comfortable. Will be back again:)

Great service from Emma at the bar. Stopped in for lunch. Excellent cocktails friendly service and great recommendations. The bar manager Steve even came by to make sure we were enjoying our visit. 10/10

I went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a great experience. Food was yummy and our server Julia was friendly and even brought out a birthday dessert!:)

Friday night.got there with girlfriend and we were seated and then sat there for about 25 minutes without a drink or hello.we finally put an order through for drinks and a starter and then another 20 minutes goes by and we don’t have **** all yet — needless to say we were out of there and went to another restaurant, had our drinks within 10 minutes of sitting down You can do better guys

Visited this location as the one closer to us was closed for some renovations. Staff and Manager were very pleasant to interact with. Food was excellent, equal standard as my local one. Not all chain dine in restaurants can achieve this. Great Job to the back of the house staff!

The servers are typically amazing! I dined here last night (March 7th 2020) my girlfriend and I ordered the nachos and pad Thai.

The Nachos weren’t as good as they usually are- not as much cheese as they usually put on them. Our server Kayla was amazing! Thanks for being so cool!

Such an awesome experience went there before we saw the new James Bond movie. With only one hour before the movie started the food came and it was delicious Cassandra who just started working there was really nice and sweet I highly recommend this jack astors branch

Enjoyed the night out with good friends. It has been so long with the lockdown! Anyway, we enjoyed the meals. I had the salmon. Delicious! Dessert was massive (double brownie with whipped cream & ice cream) - immediately asked 4 a doddy bag. Restaurant was not full, but the atmosphere was nice & relaxing. Staff were all very pleasant! Shoutout to our server, Julia! Will definitely be going back!

After sampling a few restaurants in the Pickering area in the past few months, we were pleasantly surprised with Jack Astors. Parking near the entrance in a rainy day was convenient, and then the demonstration of proof of vaccination at the door was quick and easy. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was delicious, and drinks were just right (the beer list was impressive). Our charming and very efficient waitress, Cass, promptly took our orders and our food was delivered quickly and piping hot. Cass checked on us several times during dinner to ensure that everything was fine and she was friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back!

I come here often! I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and good beer selection. Most of all, I appreciate the friendly, professional and courteous demeanour of the staff. I have interacted with many staff, but there is one who always stands out as over and above and her name is Alyshia.

She is the friendliest, kindest person I have met in the service industry and she always approaches with a smile so big that I can tell she is smiling through the mask. She makes me feel appreciated, welcome, and in this day and age - safe.

I highly recommend Jack Astor's in Pickering to anyone, and when you get there ask if you can be seated in Alyshia's section - you won't be disappointed.

My go to place to eat! Great atmosphere, always feel like family when I go for a beer. Alyshia always says hello and knows what I’m drinking that week! Really a great place to eat!

Wonderful experience tonight at the Pickering Jack Astors! Came for my birthday dinner and our waitress Amy was incredibly friendly, efficient and accommodating! Food was great and I even got a free birthday dessert!

Chicken stir fry was amazing (will ask for 1/2 the amount of sauce next time-didn’t like how everything was drowned in so much sauce but it was still really good) and mango fishbowl was sooo good.

We always come to this location. The food is ok. I recommend their chicken nachos. Daniella is a great server. She made our dining experience amazing. Very helpful and friendly.

Amy served us with our food, it was our second time at this location and we found our initial experience was calming and relaxing. The second time around was nothing less. The food was fantastic and the service from Amy made us feel comfortable. We will definitely come back for more!

The server was overwhelmed and forgot our table. She was too rude to apologize for neglecting us entirely but I understand her frustration.

Stopped in today for lunch with my sister. It was my first time back since the pandemic started. All the protocols were in place and we sat at a booth protected from the next by plexiglass. We both ordered their signature large salad bowls.so fresh and delicious. Our server Courtney was amazing.very personable and efficient. We enjoyed chatting with her! We recently went here for an early dinner. Our server Emma. F was awesome! She deserves a raise! She was super attentive, friendly, and quick. She brought us more iced water without having to be asked as it was a hot day on the patio. The food was awesome as well! Hopefully you will be lucky to get Emma. F as your server on your next visit!

Not the best service. Found a hair in our food. Service did not apologize or anything.things happen but some sort apology would have been nice. Not sure if it's because of just reopening as to why the service was delayed and horrible. The patio in the parking lot is was lovely. Having 2 highchairs is unacceptable we had to wait for another family to leave to get a highchair. Overall I would try this venue again to give them another opportunity to change this terrible experience.

Excited to be out post-covid but just the worst food and flat, watery lager. Staff are lovely but food tasted and looked like it had been re-fried over and over. Sad, old and wilted salad. Expensive for incredibly low quality.

Conor is an AMAZING bartender! Great service the whole night, and always offered great drink/shot choices. He was a pleasure to have serving my table and making great conversation. I will be back with my friends to find him at the bar to see what awesome drink creations he has to offer!

I went recently for the first time, was a very nice place! Food was very good (I just had a classic burger). Our server, Sam, was very helpful and patient. 10/10 would recommend!

Emma F was so cheerful and pleasant to have as a server. She definitely makes you want to come back. The food was great too.

We were there yesterday trying to get on the patio. There were 3 sets of customers there and when we approached, the girl was not acknowledging us. I knew she saw us as we were right in front of her face. Finally I asked for a table for 3 and she gave us a very fake smile saying that because it's going to rain soon they decided to close the patio (which was totally covered). I saw 3 table of white people sitting at the patio and the pair gone after us also got seated. At this stage and age, really? Just reminded me why our family moved out from Pickering after living there for over 20 years. We had been threatened many times verbally and were told to get out because we did not belong to the comunity especially the waterfront; even though we contributed to the community, pay our taxes and helped our neighbors. Finally someone did a serious physical act and we chose our safety instead.

Great food as always. Manager came by our table to greet us and say hello out of courtesy and respect which we liked. Mya was a new waitresses and couldve been more attentive to our table. However, her politeness, courtesy, and smile made up for it.

My wife and I attended this location yesterday August 2nd late afternoon and was greeted at our table by Emad and Gabrielle where we were told by her trainer Emad that it was only her 2nd day on the job as a waitress. Under his supervision she did an extremely good job. She was very polite, respectful and more importantly she came to our table at least 6 times in 25 minutes. We never had great service by a new recruit.

Always great food and service but had the most AWESOME experience this time with Conor behind the bar! Such a friendly face, lovely to talk to and creates amazing shots of his creation! Gotta see him if you’re in for a nice night!

The staff is amazing, their friendly and out going, would recommend this place for anybody.
Food quality never fails when I go.

Out of all restaurants in the area, we were trying to book, Jack Astor's had availability and we're pretty flexible with reservations regardless of challenging COVID-19 restrictions. The hosted a little farewell for our retiring colleague and JA's "sharebles" (remember those, people used to share finger food?) didn't disappoint ;)

Finally get to go to a restaurant indoors. We came to Jack Astor's bc I know the food is great and the staff are friendly and very good at their jobs. Tonight was no different. The staff were very friendly and all our food came quick and man was it good. Love the Buffalo style hot tenders which are freshly made. We had it all, lobster dip, cheesy pan bread and I could never go to Jack's withou having the beer'n cheddar soup. All around a great experience.

Food was the best and great service! Our server was Kiera and she did a wonderful job. Definitely will be coming back again!

This is the most disappointing and disgusting experiences I’ve ever had with a Jack Astors. This location used to be great but the kitchen has become a joke. I’ve ordered take out in the past and have over the past year watched it slowly decline until today when it became UNEDIBLE. I ordered pan bread that was extremely undercooked and had the consistency of gum in the middle. The “beef” nachos were soggy, topping less and contained what looked like a pinch of beef. The nachos were barely cooked, so the cheese barely melted. My sauced up chicken fingers were stale, and taste like old breading. I’ve had these at multiple locations but the breading here seems stale and disgusting. Lastly, if you can’t make a Caesar salad…quit your job.

I ordered food from Uber Eats and realized their brownie is not what was advertised! I got a plain small brownie with no caramel sauce or whip cream. I understand it was busy, but still. They should have doubled checked before sending the food out. Nevertheless, their food was really good just a disappointment with dessert.

Took a star off because there's is almost never anyone at the front to greet and seat you.
Several times I've waiting for minutes on end before someone noticed there were customers.

I used to LOVE Jack Astors, but lately my opinion has changed. Every time I order from this location, the food is always stone cold, no matter what the dish is. On this particular occasion, I ordered the Asiago Bow ties, the beer and cheddar soup, and the bacon cheeseburger. All three dishes were so cold, as if they were left outside for half an hour prior to being consumed. I don’t know why this always happens, but I’m really disappointed: (.

Not as good as it use to be, but still a nice place, just don't bring the kids. They inevitably order over priced pizza.

A place I like to visit 2-3 times a year. Their service is great very friendly! They're chicken fingers are a must try I usually get their sauced up and they have a great variety of sauces! Also their Asiago chicken bow ties are so good I requested to make it a rose sauce and it was great! Unfortunately its better for dine in take out the food gets soggy.

We were so excited to be out and sitting in a restaurant. I love Jacks but seems to be going downhill. I wish I got takeout instead. As you can see in the pictures the green beans were not even cleaned and the ends were not cut off. The nachos were super salty and the salsa was not a regular one, maybe sun dried and did not taste good, nachos were a waste of $20. I usually get the shrimp and steak but looks like they took off shrimp on the menu, I still decided to get the steak which is supposed to be a chipotle seasoned goat cheese butter but I did not taste the goat cheese, the steak was horrible. I paid an extra $2 for loaded baked potato but there was not enough sour cream as the potato was big. Will not be returning to this Jacks.

The service was good and the food was exceptionally good. I had a burger with sausage and bacon that was simply one of the best I have ever had.

The hostess was pretty rude. We tried to make reservations for our Christmas party and were told over an hour wait - but she was very rude when we tried to sit at the bar and eat or drink while waiting.

I like Jacks for the atmosphere and the food/drinks. It just seems very expensive for what they give you. Food portions are very small for the price. It's almost become a joke among friends that you need to order 2 meals to be full. I'll still go back for drinks but I'll stop to eat elsewhere before.

Great menu and good service. We usually have a terrific experience at Jack Astor's, and this location delivers to their standard.

Chicken strips and fries were good. Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy for a Sunday evening.

Since this place has opened I've always loved coming here, the servers are great and the food is good, my fave is a nice medium rare Memphis with the loaded mash!

Too loud and too many people in the bar who were clearly over served. Food wasnt that great either.

I love Jack Astor's and this location is no different from others I have been to. The food is good the prices are on point. I normally end up getting a Burger or Steak. I would have given 5 stars but I had a bad experience recently. I got a really bad cut of meat, they offered me a free desert to make up for it.

Superb service and food came out reasonably quickly. Family enjoys Jack's more than I do; I find their menu isn't diverse enough for me but they like it. The pan bread is decadently delicious, a once or twice a year treat. Fajitas are outstanding. Items overall are hit and miss; some efforts at international cuisine are less than successful. We do enjoy the atmosphere, however, and it's a reliable place to dine out with family.

Someone needs to shake up the kitchen staff. Another time the order has been sub standard but this time under my vegetables was a big black hair. The manager must get tired of apologizing.
Some that I could see wear hairnets but their beards are not covered.

Messed up the order twice. I ordered two Boss Burgers (or Drunken ONION bacon burger) with DIFFERENT SIDES. Got one. Two dishes, three people at the table? How stupid do you have to be.
Second time the burger came without the onions and sausage, looked very sad, cheese wasn't melted etc. The manager came with a fixed burger and wanted to make us believe it was the same.
Two Stars because the food tasted okay.

The place also lacks atmosphere, I've been to a couple of J. A. 's and this doesn't rank too high.

The "board of nachos" is a rip off. You literally get about 10 individual nachos on a board. For a chain restaurant this is disappointing. Staff are good and very attentive. 23oz jacked up beer also does not make financial sense.

This was our first visit to Jack Astors. The burgers we ordered were excellent, and arrived as requested in a timely manner. We were treated to free second drinks and an incredible free desert, and unknown to us a server that thinks outside the box. I can only presume he mentioned this our first visit to Steven the General Manager. At the completion of our experience, Steven arrived at our table, and introduced himself. We had a wonderful conversation, and needless to say we will be visiting our local Jacks'. Thank you Steven and Taylor for a wonderful evening.

Pickering Jack and Astor's is a great location. They have such a large selection of different draft beers. Great customer service and decent food.

Food is pricey. Average per person for food, service and tax was $33 - $35, no alcohol. Too many smokers sitting at entrance outside patio. You are bombarded with smoke as you try to pass. There were delays to just get water.

Jack Astor's has really got it together. The nacho platter was greag to start with and was layered very nicely so every chip had cheese. I really enjoyed the burger I was able to create (three patties and two servings of bacon), and our server, Shannon, was very funny and walked the fine line of professionalism and personalizing her service. She did a great job of keeping things organized and shots flowing, and also being able to keep up with whatever banter was happening at the table. She also helped coordinate a happy birthday song with the other waitstaff to help us celebrate our friends birthday!

The food was o.k but not as I ordered. I like my steak Blue rare and it arrived medium to well.
But service was good.

Good food and friendly staff, the patio is the perfect place to relax on a sunny day. With a huge drink menu and a modest food menu, this restaurant has a lot to offer. Walking distance to the mall and other businesses in the downtown pickering area.

Service and food were great! Despite being right off the busy Kingston Rd.the patio is an awesome spot.

My wife and I just could not decide what to eat. We each were wanting different food. I though Jack Astor's should have a good variety in their menu. We hadn't been there in over a year. The menu had great choices. And for me it worked out great because I'm on a low carb diet and they have this great Mexican salad under the "Big Bowl Salads" section. It really hit the spot. It was a good size serving and had plenty of protein. I'll be going back frequently for that. The service in general was great and our weitress was very helpful and friendly.

Good food. Nothing special. Average prices. Exceptionally noisy at almost any time. Infrequent customer for all of these reasons together.
