Jack Astors Sherway is the best! We always come and sit at the bar while we have a few drinks while catching up on sports or playing Jacks trivia and Christian and Martina behind the bar always take care of us!

Amanda and Rena are fantastic bar servers and really provide a real down to earth appeal to the establishment, kudos to them

The parking and service were fantastic! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the waiter was super helpful and patient!
I was very disappointed in the portion size of my bowl especially since it was over $20! I was still very hungry after and had to order fries after.
Overall, I would come here again, but I would be a bit more attentive as to what I'm ordering, especially if I'm very hungry!

Our server Sylvana was amazing. She was very friendly and we felt welcomed and we appreciate her hospitality. Her positive attitude made our dining experience memorable. The food was great and drinks were made well. We will surely be back.

Burger was overcooked but was too hungry to return, coffee was the worst ever, had to cancel it, and we were dying of thirst as server forgot about refills.only enjoyable thing was the big screen to watch sports in the bar.

One or the best jacks we've been too. We ordered the burger and fish & chips. Was really good! Dani was a great host!

We were here on Friday night and our server was Dani. She was lovely and everything was perfect!

No Calamari, no guacamole, 30 minutes for glass of water, asked for an extra glass for pitcher of beer and it never came. Nuff said.

They revamped their menu. So they didn't have what I originally wanted but I was definitely pleased with the shrimp stir fry!

Overall great experience, went with my husband and kids. We had Sylvanna as our server, she was very welcoming and always made sure to check in even though Saturday night was extremely busy. Also enjoyed the conversation we shared. Will definitely be back again:)

Went here yesterday with my family. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, there was a long black hair in the lettuce in the burger. Brought it to staff attention, waitress was really apologetic and they offered me a new burger. The manager came by said they would take the burger off the bill and give us a 15% discount on other items on the bill. The bill came and my husband paid. I looked at the bill again and noticed my bacon cheeseburger was on it. The only thing different was that there was the 15% discount. I was with my kids and my husband didn’t want to make a scene so we just left without following up about it. I will definitely not be returning to this location again, which is too bad as it is the closest to me, but there are other restaurants around. Definitely wouldn’t recommend

Alyssa g was an amazing server. So nice and accommodating even though they were under staffed, food was promptly served.

Stopped in for an impromptu dinner last night with my 9 year old. We were greeted and seated immediately. Service was prompt, food was good - an all around good dining experience.

I am writing this review, however, specifically to call out the excellent service of our server, Julia M. She was awesome, friendly, very kind to my (very shy) son. A lot of other dining experiences leave you feeling like the service staff really don't want to be there. Great customer service like we received last night is hard to find these days, so I thought that Julia M.deserves a shout out for OUTSTANDING service. She was busy too, and still managed to be great!

Not too bad. Its always packed, the establishment could be a bit cleaner and warmer but the customer service isnt that bad

Five stars for the service. The take out delivery person is so nice! She remembered that I ordered two nights ago.yup I'm the one that order on-line but cannot wait 45 minutes. And they were so accommodating today to change the order when I asked if the fish sticks on the kid menu were beered battered.

We ordered off the dinner menu because that’s the menu available around 12: 00PM! The chicken fingers and fries were delicious! The sesame chicken was tasty! But the cheese burger barely had any flavour, so our expectations were definitely not met. The waitress was super kind and efficient and absolutely loved her service, name Taylor! The chicken strips sauce was loved by everyone, it literally saved the cheese burger. This location is great but maybe don’t order the cheeseburger. Anyways, always a great time at Jack Astor’s.

Super happy with our experience dining in today! Our server, Alyssa, was extremely attentive, kind and provided our service with a smile! The delicious food was an added benefit, definitely planning on coming back again!

I went to Jack Astors last night and it was an amazing time! The food was excellent and I wasn’t kept waiting. I had a lovely server, her name was Sylvanna. She made my experience excellent, she was very pleasant and was very attentive without being overbearing. Thank you for making my night enjoyable!

Steak was amazing! First time out for dinner since Covid and I am so happy we ended up here! The staff were great and Martina our server went above and beyond! She was so knowledgeable of what to have and she definitely did not disappoint! Thanks for making our first venture out so great!

Went to the Queensway location for dinner initially didn't have the greatest experience however between the server and management we ended up being well taken care of.

Kinda wierd experience, alot of patio space, but we got the furthest 4 top. Right in the sun when there were ones that were fully covered. Got my order wrong but got comped.

One of my favourites spots to go out with friends. The food is amazing. Prices are very good. Staff is super friendly. Great place to come with friends and family if you are looking for a semi casual restaurant

This Jack Astors is good but there is room for improvement. The service is good and friends but last time I visited, my food arrived cold (it was a burger and wings which don’t taste very good cold). I didn’t mention it because I was kind of in a rush to eat and leave, but it just deters me from wanting to go back. I also find it way too dark inside the restaurant - especially for kids

Jack chicken fingers are the bomb dot com. Try honey BBQ mixed in, with mild buffalo sauce and ranch dip on the side.

When's for dinner last night the hostess and waitress were very helpful. I would suggest having the stinging bee chicken sandwich it has a little kick I had it with sweet potato french fries and it was awesome. Happy to return to this location the service was fast and the people were helpful and happy

Ordered truffle fries + dip & 2 bottles of wine on a Monday night. Took an hour just for it to be ready? And there was zero dip. Literally had 1 job.

Great service, polite serving staff, food was fresh and tasty. Not much more you can ask for at a night out at a restaurant.

I went here for a late lunch and was pretty dissatisfied. We were seated at what seemed like a picnic table. The umbrella at the front was missing its pin and flew & hit the staff twice! I told them to take it down because it would only continue to hit them. Staff was okay, nothing special. It felt more like a picnic date than a restaurant honestly. The water condensation from my glass was also dripping on my feet. Food was decent, nothing special. Pretty pricey for what it is. Wouldn’t choose to come here again personally. Felt bad for staff working in those conditions at the front. Exits weren’t very clear, I was told I could exit either way. Hoping to see improvements.

Steak tasted delicious - but was a little over priced. Service wasn't the quickest but the staff were friendly and tried their best despite how busy it was.

I went to this location a couple of weeks ago. I was told to wait about an hour, after 1.5 hour waiting we were taken to a table literally on a puddle. There were SEVERAL empty tables and the servers at the front took our did not take our complaints seriously. We were told that the best available table was in an area in which there was no server to assist. After complaining, I was told that the table was actually with people on it later. I honestly feel like this was RACISM! I will NEVER GO BACK! They ruined my whole weekend! Based on other comments here, it looks like it’s a common thing. Disgusting!

Jack Astors Sherway was a good experience. They are taking the covid precautions seriously and employees were seen wiping down surfaces regularly. I would come back for sure:)

Very mediocre or just bad. The food quality has taken a dive. All our recent orders have been terrible. Super disappointing. Jack Astor's used to be my favourite restaurant. But now I'm no longer going to be ordering from this restaurant chain.

Whichever crew works evenings here are super based, my sister Lisa always gets a good response whenever she puts memes in the order instructions! Also super tasty food too:)

We came to Jack Astor's today for the first time since the lockdown lifted and the service was awful! Our drinks sat empty for half of our meal and by the time we were ready for the bill, there was no one to be seen for 10+ minutes. We had to stop another waitress to ask her for our bill, only to find out that she never got it. Very disappointed with the service today, the only reason why I'm giving it a 3 star is because the food is pretty good.

Quoted 5 to 15 min wait. After sitting in car for 40 min checked back and was told at least another 15 min. Upset about very inaccurate wait quote so left without even trying menu
If you can't estimate wait time how do I know you can cook properly

An item was forgotten from our order through skip the dishes. When the restaurant was called and informed Emily, the manager handled it amazingly. She was lovely over the phone. The order missing was meant as a meal before a C-Section, Emily was not only made sure the order was replaced but hand delivered it herself along with a wonderful care package. This woman deserves the biggest raise and if I could, the biggest hug!
Thank you Emily for your amazing customer service. As someone who worked in customer service I can't applaud you enough! You're a wonderful person doing an amazing job especially in a pandemic.

We ordered jack Astor’s last night for Valentine’s Day takeout they had a special for 49.99 and wow was it worth it I was wondering if ordering on such a busy day would make the quality of the food we get worst but no it was absolutely delicious me fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Every single part of our dish was delicious. We were so happy with the service and food we are going to make jacks part of our regular covid ordering takeout. We really appreciate the service and the hard work that the staff did yesterday it was busy and Valentine’s Day but everything went without a sitch!

Loved every bite of my food. I ordered tuna mango and avacado salad. What a great combination! Fresh, nutritious and healthy

Poutine was served cold, fried brussel sprouts were not breaded like the picture and undercooked, the wrong drink was brought.

It has been 3 days and I am still upset about how we were treated on Thursday December 27 2018.
We arrived at 8: 00pm and were told there was a 15-20 minute wait we said okay gave our name and phone number. After about 5 minutes we noticed there were 4 visible tables in the front that were empty, we asked about them and were told rudely that they were just waiting for the next people in line first. After 5 more minutes the tables were still free and they so we decided to leave. We ended up at another restaurant that was close by and received the notification that our table was ready (35 minutes after we had given our name)

Best burger and ceaser salad I have had at a restaurant, and that's not the beer talking. Great place to spend some time.

Jack Astor's isn't my go to by any means simply because the food and overall experience is average at best, and it's quite pricey considering the quality of food they serve here. I was here with friends yesterday. Our appetizers were fried broccoli (I wouldn't recommend this) and "bruschetta" (sliced French baguette with a few diced tomatoes) neither of these tasted very good. I ordered Pad Thai with a side of shrimp. The shrimp were cold and didn't appear to be cooked, and they definitely weren't seasoned at all. Plain brewed black coffee is $4 (extremely overpriced) and undrinkable. In the future, I'll do my best to avoid this place altogether.

The food really depends on what your order, but if you get one of the fried items you'll probably be safe. The service is fantastic and the waiters and waitresses are so kind.

The server there Stefan Is amazing! Everytime we go there we ask for him. Hes knew. How to treat his guess right! Never had a issue with him!:)

Was very disappointed with the level of service:
1. I call in advance to make sure we get table for 2 plus baby, we told “YES - no problem”
2. When we arrive table wasn’t ready for another 15min (place didn’t look busy)
3.finaly got table, we knew exactly what we want and ordered right away (two not spicy pasta tomato souse with some veggies same for baby and two tea, very easy order)
Order arrive wrong:
Creamy pasta with cheese lol,
4 reorder took a while, when arrived past was hot and very spicy,
5 we ask for water, our server forgot about us, we had ask arround
Anyhow, hope management could take few notes in effort to improve service!

Devin, Ry and the manager on duty Rubin were amazing tonight. Considering the chaos that was going on on such a busy night, they really came through. Excellent customer service, polite, friendly and warm, these guys have it all. We did encounter a small bump while dining at this location however they know how to turn your experience from 0 to 100% great. We will definitely return.

First I want to thank you to our amazing waitress Samantha W. She was simply amazing. She made us all very happy. We booked for party of 12 for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was very organized in the way in which they had the table set up with numbered seats, so separate bills were no issue. Booking was super easy and even though it was their busiest night of the week, they allowed us to stay as long as we needed. Food and drinks came fast and everyone was happy. They even threw a free dessert for the birthday girl at the end. Thank you Jack's.

Food was great but service was terrible. 3 tables around us had issues with their order and we we're brought the wrong pasta twice

This summer was the first time I had ever been to Jack Astors, next to their food being phenomenal and staff very friendly, the atmosphere is very nice, a great night out with the boys! Will deffinantly return

Boom goes the dynamite, what a disaster this place has become. Wrong drinks, terrible food, but staff were great. I’ve been coming to jack astors for over 10 years and have always thought they had pretty good and lots of choices but last night was the nail in the coffin. You won’t catch me here ever again. The menu is a joke and the prices for what you get are disappointing to say the least. I ordered the chicken parm and the chicken was so small they covered up with bow tie pasta. I thought I got the kids meal, not joking. My wife got the Mexican salad, looked great if you enjoy domain lettuce with no dressing, hardly any chicken and um I think they forgot the Mexican. Huh? How do you get this so wrong jack astors. I won’t even start with my sons meal as it was just that. A kids meal. Anyway, loved the Pilsner, even though I ordered an IPA and my son loved the soda water they called sprite. Did you know the jacked up beer is a total scam, I poured a full pint of water in my jacked up glass and there was maybe 2oz of room left. Certainly not 5 oz.don’t waste your money. Unless of course you love airplane food for exorbitant prices. Rant over.

Server didn’t understand what we wanted & seemed untrained. She didn’t help when I wasn’t eating because it was bad & when I explained to her I wasn’t expecting what they served us she tried to tell me she had told us when all 3 of us heard her clearly & she didn’t really know what she was doing

Haven't been here for about a year, but the new salmon dish is amazing, as is the chicken wrap. The menu is awesome now, and service on the patio was also excellent. Lots of gluten free options.

Waitress was lovely but food was a 3/5 at best.drinks are way better at lionheart pub and Montana's in my opinion has more variety in food!

The manager who is working here today (Friday) is the one of the best managers in restaurant I have ever met. He delivers excellent customer service and he is aware of everything happens in the restaurant at any moment. And when things go wrong, he knows how to fix it. The food is ok, the staff are friendly, but we will come back mostly because of the customer service managed by the manager who we saw today.

Service was painfully slow, do have to say that the restaurant was at its capacity. But still, food took over 40 mins to arrive. Not an excuse if you are running a big well known place like Jack Astor’s. Food was very delicious though and clean washrooms.

Imagine a table with 30, and this guys changing place everytime. Even with that, all food, drinks and bills were delivered 100% right.awesome!

The serving staff was lovely (very good with kids), but I have to give this place one star because my food was gross and made me sick immediately after eating it. Literally while I was still there I was sick in their restroom and then again in the car on my way home - not fun. I'm disappointed the staff didn't notice how little I ate off my plate and yet still charged me for the meal. I was too sick to say anything about it.

The waiters took some time to serve us. The food was slow to come out. I had the buffalo chicken tenders and they were very soggy as if someone had dipped them in water after frying.

Food was good and the location was good. Staff was also very kind and helpful, the main reason that I didn't rate it higher is because of how small each plate was compared to the price. I paid something like $14 for a plate of quesadillas and was given 6 tiny slices. It look as if they had taken 2 normal quesadillas and had cut them each in 3. Places like Crabbie Joe's had quesadillas for $10 and you get 4 full slices, both are under appetizers. Like I said, good food and nice people. However, it is quite expensive for what you get.

Good food. Not cheap but this is high end gastropub (ish) pub grub. They now how to grill a steak though. The string fires tend to get cool fast in the very strong AC, so eat empty up first.

Food always excellent. Service is quick and staff are very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Our waiter today was tops; he was efficient and charming.

This location has a awesome patio for you to enjoy drinks and food. The servers were welcoming and there is free internet so you can stay connected. Try the poutine stack, it's delicious. Also you can upsize your beer for a like a dollar more.lots of tv screens here making a great place to watch any sporting event.

Great national chain restaurant. Been here many times before, great place for a meal or just for drinks even. They have a dining area and a bar area where you can watch sports. Menu is bug enough that everyone can have what they want and they introduce special seasonal items every so often. This particular location can get busy during peak dining times so best to make reservations. Will definitely return and recommend for anyone looking for a great casual place for drinks or a meal.

Experience was good. Staff was nice. Food was ok. Wasn't impressed with the plates and glasses.there was some food stuck on them.
