Left because the server (blonde w/o the glasses) decided to ignore my partner and I and served the people behind us. Not cool.

Placed an order for pick up. Arrived 20 minutes before closing.door were locked (10 minutes before indicated pick up time on order confirmation received via email) and the server who answered the door would not even listen or let us in except when made great effort to explain that I was only there to pick up an order that had been paid for (and it was cold outside)! Thereafter, when food was brought out the server placed the food aggressively on the floor. This is below par service from Jack Astors! Never felt so insulted and belittled! Felt treated worst than a beggar. A really bad experience this time. Fix this sort of judgemental behavior please.

Went for dinner with my family. Food was good but just a little over priced if you ask me. I've been to Jack's a few times over the years and I feel it was a lot better in the past.

Overall everything was good. Music was a little on the louder side (sitting in dining area not bar) I had my 7 year old niece and we had a hard time hearing eachother at some times.

Came to Jack Astors over the holidays with some friends and had the pleasure of having Marissa as our server. She made the experience at Jack Astors a great one, going above and beyond to make sure everyone was situated with their orders and gladly was able to answer any questions we had! If only more people in the service industry were like that. Definitely will be returning!

Ahhhhhhhh I hate to be that guy but the service was not great.our server was super impatient.like I was trying to make jokes and she just didn’t seem like she cared. I got a dessert cause it was my birthday but as a former server I just felt so burdening on the server.also they didn’t have takeout soup cups, so I had to pack my soup into three different sauce cups. Just not a great time.

It doesn’t matter if I come here with my family or friends, service and food will always be amazing!

The best time to get take out from here is when its not busy (so like not friday nights or Saturday nights etc)
but the fries are always really well seasoned, the bread is brioche and amazing
the chicken fingers have a little bite to them but its tolerable
the nachos are amazing! Highly recommend this place the atmosphere here is so fun its a darker setting so its romantic if you have a date

Came to celebrate my daughters birthday and was served by Angelina! She was very attentive and on point with making our experience enjoyable. She even surprised us with a brownie for my daughters birthday! Thank you Jack Astors for making her day!

Whitby Jack Astors has been the best experience I’ve had so far. Everyone was super friendly and the food was fantastic! Thank you to all that works at this location for making sure everything was fantastic! Definitely recommend 10/10!

A couple friends and I grabbed dinner here last night and our server was beyond fantastic.
Nadine went above and beyond. We had mentioned we were in town for a bachelorette party, and she brought over brownies and sparklers.

Nadine was the highlight of my weekend and she’s truly a gem that needs to be acknowledged!

I was in last night with my family and it suddenly started to rain, our server was amazing so prompt and helpful helping us carry in all of our belongings and helping with the kids. She was very friendly and accommodating. I believe her name was Beth. Highly recommend this establishment and that server! Hoping to get her next time as well.

Food was awesome! We had appetizers, meals, and desert everything was very tasty. Our waitress Meg was fantastic and super nice! We celebrated our youngest daughter heading off to Indiana for school. We had 4 of her closest friends join the celebration and there were loads of laughs and then tears as they said goodbye.

Me and my friends had a great dinner at jack astors with our server Meghan. She had great customer service and handled the big group of us amazingly. She was professional and fun and was very attentive. Made our night awesome. I highly recommend this location because of this one server!

The perfect dinner spot after seeing a movie! The food is great, the service is friendly and a special shout out for the gluten-free, lactose-free, nut-free sorbet dessert on the kids menu! My daughter loved it!

10/10 customer service! My friend and I’s waitress was Megan, she was so nice and we had a very enjoyable conversation with her. She complimented our appearance and asked if we were going to see a movie after dinner, since Landmark was right beside us. We were going to see Elvis for the first time and she told us to tell her how it was but we forgot to go back! So Megan, if you see this, WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Elvis is 100000/10 recommended! Anyways, my friend and I ordered pasta and a burger with salad which came 10 minutes after we ordered. It was really good and we enjoyed everything at this location.

Got the steak frites (medium-rare) with truffle fries.

The steak and sauces exceeded my expectations. It was a perfect medium-rare.

The truffle fries were a disappointment. Fries came out cold and soggy. They used cheap Parmesan and truffle oil.

Portion sizing was excellent, and I left full.

Overall… it’s Jack Astors. They met the expectation I had of the franchise: not bad, but not particularly great either.

I’d return to this restaurant (if there were no better options around)

Portion sizes are relatively small compared to other places that serve similar types of food in similar settings. The lack of cheese on the nachos was also disappointing.

Our food was deeeliciousss and our waiter Lexi was sooo slayyy! Always a smile and gave us great recommendations! Hope to have her again and they should for sure give her a raise!

Our server, Hailey, was such a sweetheart. She made our first restaurant experience as a family of 4 (since covid started) such a wonderful and positive experience. Also the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the spicy buffalo chicken fingers and I will for sure be back for more.

The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. I had the Holy Smoke BBQ burger and my wife had the mushroom truffle burger. Both were served quickly, and were the perfect temperature and were delicious! Highly recommend!

Andy was the best server. Went for birthday drinks with my friends and he was great all night. Great reccomendations for food and drinks. I would give him a raise.

Great experience at the Jack Astors Whitby location! Our server, Cam, was amazing! She made our experience very enjoyable as she was very attentive and helpful throughout the dinner! I don't normally leave reviews, but I had lunch at the whitby Jack Astors yesterday and I had a great experience. Our server Kaelin was super friendly, and keen on conversation. It felt like she actually enjoyed our conversation rather than the superficial enjoyment I'm used to from servers.

I came here this past weekend with my buddies to watch the hockey game, we had a great time. Sat in the bar and it was a great atmosphere. My only issue with jack astors is their pricing, but its not their fault. Other than that, this location is great!

We called ahead to make a resevation for 50 people from our hockey team, in town for a tournament.
The lady I spoke to was very helpful and had us setup with a private area for the group. The servers were fast and efficient in getting all the orders out very quickly. Will highly recommend them.

Had a great server named Jessica, she was prompt, took very good care of us, and her friendly smile and attitude made our dining experience even more fun!

The Whitby location is hands down the best one. It’s the only place that cooks your steak exactly how you ask for it…that’s all I ask for. Service is unmatched - I’ve truthfully never had a bad experience. I’ve been served by Jess a handful of times and she brings her A game always/will take care of you regardless of how busy it is. Overall, the restaurant’s ambience sets the tone nicely and the music isn’t bad. I wish the menu had more but everything that is there, is reaaaaally good. Love this place! Got me obsessed with gummy bears

Ordered two take out orders of the dinner for 4 for a birthday celebration. Everything went smoothly and tasted great! The food was ready right when it should be. Liked that the hot and cold items were separated in packing. Service was friendly both to place order and pick up. Decent selection of dinners. Everyone liked their meals. Well done, Jack Astor's Whitby!

We came to Jack Astor’s for the first time since start of pandemic and it was great to be back. It was awesome to have the food fresh and warm on the table rather than our usual takeout. Our server Jess was very friendly and included our kids whenever she visited our table. We were told a new dessert menu is coming out next week so we will for sure be back for it. Cheers.

We had incredible service from our server Aric. He was friendly and catered to my dietary restrictions. Our food was great, I had the pad Thai. We will be returning again soon due to the great atmosphere and service by Aric!:)

Enjoyed an excellent dinner last Thursday, the beer selection was small but our server Alex was wonderful! She gave us all of the details of when the beer list will be expanding. We will be back soon!

Enjoyed going here specifically for their wings and the way they were tossed in the house made sauce at your table and you could have them as covered as you wanted. Was disappointed today to hear that they no longer do that and you get what you get from the kitchen.

Went to the Whitby location on Monday evening- party of 5 and the hostess only checked 4/5 of our vaccine passports. We were brought to a table sandwiched in between 2 large groups when the entire seating area was open. I asked for a different table so that we would be socially distanced from the 2 other families and the hostess was clearly not happy. Said she would check and then never returned. Another person who just finished cleaning a table invited us to sit at a table farther away from the other families.

Food was fine, fries were cold though. The food at the Pickering location tasted much better. Our waitress was nice, but I probably will not return.

The children and i grabbed a bite after being at playdium for 2 hours. They were really busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress was carley. She provided great service. We had an issue with my sons dish which she quickly resolved. We will likely be back.

I went to Jack Astor’s this week for drinks and dinner. Alex E was fantastic! She went above and beyond to make our drinks substitute for what they didn’t have.
The restaurant was busy but she often came by our table to see if we needed anything. Also, New York steak came out to our table quickly and was hot and delicious!

Stopped by today with my fam to celebrate our youngest birthday before heading to Playdium. Got there and seated by 6: 20, ordered by 6: 30pm and got our Lobster dip nachos 10 mins after. Everything was going great. Not sure what happened after but our entrée's came 45 mins later ‍️ but luckily for Jack Astor's our server Kam was a sweetheart and did everything she can to make things right which saved this review from a 3 star to a 4 star you guys are lucky to have her on staff! The food was great, everyone enjoyed their dishes but by the time we left there was only 1 hour left before Playdium closed so it kinda messed with our plans a bit. Still a fair experience and good food. We will be back for sure

Decided to go to jacks with a couple of friends and our server Sebastian was amazing! He was super friendly and had really great service. Jack Astors is my go to restaurant and I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Had to wait about 5 min before a hostess came to the front desk, but it was busy so I totally get it. Ordered the Pad Thai Noodle Bowl with tofu, my waitress came back 5 min after ordering and apologized that they didn't have tofu. She then asked if I wanted chicken or shrimp instead and I mentioned that I'm a vegetarian and unfortunately I can't have either. She said she was sorry that they couldn't cater to my dietary restrictions and left, then came back and told me she asked for the cooks to put extra veggies. Honestly wasn't expecting the kindness! I received my order in about 10 minutes of placing order, which I feel like is faster than average. I wasn't able to finish my meal because I started getting stomach cramps. Im severely allergic to meat by the way, so I'm not sure if the veggies touched meat juices or grease left on a flattop or something. I'm not insinuating anything, just wanted to share my experience! My waitress (forgot her name, she had dark hair, looked about mid 30's) and the guy the that gave me my check (forgot his name too, super tall, younger looking, had short brown hair, had ear piece in). He asked me if I wanted a to-go box and I politely declined then explained it's not the restaurant's fault and that it's just me. I explained how the food gave me stomach cramps and he apologized about the food. I tried tapping my card from my phone (forgot physical card) on the machine and the machine didn't take, so he grabbed another machine and I was able to pay for my bill. He and I had a conversation discussing my experience and my dietary restriction, he then apologized again about my meal. Staff was overall friendly and nice. Check number 2410305, table #33 in the margarita room, time was around 4: 57pm. I would definitely come back again, but I'll just stick with the salads in the future!

Visited the Whitby location on Friday around 9pm and had a great time. The hostess made friendly conversation with us while we waited for our table. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Overall a friendly and enjoyable experience!

Went to Jack Astor's today and was very happy with the service and food. From meeting the host team to the bartenders and any of the staff that were around, everyone was very positive and super friendly. Felt like we were treated extra special but noticed all of the customers were being treated the same. Great morale at this restaurant and the food and drinks were great. Aiden and Brian were our servers and did an excellent job and we super friendly. Management is doing a great job with there staff. Only thing is it would be great if they could bring in some Richard's Red on tap, apparently they use to have it on tap and hopefully they will bring it back.

Unfortunately after a decent dinner I was approached by apparently the floor manager in a very abrupt and rude manner to inform me and my guest it was time to leave, even though at that time we were waiting for our bill from our server. I have enjoyed being a customer of your establishment for many years but after this experience it might have been my last visit

Used to love this place, but our last meal there was so disappointing. Quality has gone way down, so cheap. Their gravy, too.it’s garbage. So disappointing.

Why is the Thai sesame stir fry bowl sweet? The rice is soaked in a sweet sauce! Why is the nacho platter sprinkled with salt when there is already cheese on top? To eat healthy outside in aces like this is impossible! We had a few nachos and can't eat anymore!

The first dine in experience after lockdown 3.0 ended. It was the first weekend after the lockdown and I was really excited to finally be able to go dine-in. Most restaurants were not taking reservations as it was the first weekend and the same was with Jack Astor’s (I believe now they must be taking it). I visited on 12th June around 7pm, and I was really surprised. With 4 of us, the wait time was only 15minutes (I believe if it was 2 of us it would have been almost negligible or none?). The space was so huge, and it was quite occupied but we still were able to get in seated. When we sat down, they had contactless menu to order from, that’s when I came across their 15% off on the order which was quite an awesome deal we got and we were really happy. Our server was really nice and was able to guide in the process to register for that deal and she served us our food and drinks, kept checking in on us in timely manner. They were out of stock on Stella Artois draught beer but we were happy with the alternatives provided. The only thing I felt if there could have been a little more comfy chairs, it would have been nicer but overall it was an amazing experience to be out there. Thank you to all the staff, you did an amazing job! Lots of social distancing, managing so many guests, timely food, I would highly recommend it!

Food was good! Servers were very nice. A little disorganized though, the people behind us were seated first because everyone was so mixed up scanning the code on the host table, that the front of house seated the wrong people first. Perhaps just have people scan as the arrive at the host table, rather than inviting the whole line to scan at once. Otherwise, lovely patio and nice staff.

I've been going to Jack Astor's since I was a child, so about 25 years or more now. As I've grown older, I've noticed the decline in the quality of their service and food. My favorite item has always been the buffalo chicken fingers: from way too oily, to now nowhere near enough sauce upon delivery, Jack's just seems to let me down time and time again. I'm sorry fond friend, but it will be farewell from my family, I'll always fondly remember your tables to draw on and when the quality of your food was as amazing as your customer service.

Made a phone order for pickup was fast and efficient food was ready when I got there in 20 minutes. Great staff and the food was warm and tasty we love coming here for my birthday so take out was the next best thing!

It was good. A few minor hiccups but overall enjoyed it. It wasn't packed and went after 5pm which was great timing. Obviously masks and sanitizers are required. Your not rushed to leave either which was good. The price is reasonable. Had a nice waitress.

Amazing customer service and food, they were good with explaining everything we needed to know and always were wearing their masks, they have these pucks that have two stickers on it. One that says that they want regular customer service, and the other to saying that they want limited service apart from when it came to receiving food and drinks. I will always go back for another night out with close friends, I felt safe and had no worries about contracting covid.

Ordered (rather attempted to order) on skip the dishes. After entering the order my wife and I waited 13 mins for the order to be confirmed. We agreed that any further waiting isn't worth it and got food elsewhere, with next to no waiting. Likely the last time I'll order food or go there now.

Ordered on skip the dishes and part of order was not delivered. Called and spoke to a manager. Customer service was top notch. They had a staff member personally drive out the missing items and more to make up for it. Turned a potentially bad experience into a good one. Keep up the good work!

Food was average and quite a bit overpriced but the service was great. Our server was very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing our dishes

It was my first time ever at a Jack Astor's and while it wasn't the best, it was very good.

I thought it was weird that Jack's Fried Chicken had its own space on the menu, advertising flavour on top of flavour, so that's what I ordered.

There was no indication of the number of pieces in the order, so I was thinking maybe two or three. It was actually one HUGE piece that consisted of a wing, rib, and maybe some breast that didn't look like chicken at all. They always provide a fork and knife but who eats fried chicken like that? This was definitely a hands-on meal.

I loved the crunch of that first bite. And second. And third. As for the flavour, it was not KFC, Popeye's, or Mary Brown, that's for sure. It wasn't bad but if I want fried chicken, I'll go to those places instead. The order came with barbecue sauce that tasted a lot like original Bullseye, which I love, but I was hoping for something more homemade and different. Nonetheless, that's where I was dipping the drier white meat parts. It also came with a good coleslaw, and fries similar to McDonald's, which are one of my favourite fries of all time.

Next time, I'll order the wings. My mom had them, and while I'm not a big fan of honey garlic as a wing flavour, I loved that they tossed the sauce and wings together in the little stainless steel bowls that they were served in. It was like a little show of how restaurants normally do it in the kitchen, and doesn't make the wings as soggy.

Staff work really hard to ensure your experience is too notch, food is always excellent at this location.

Friendly staff, quick service, fairly clean. Food wasn't as good as other Jack Astors I've been to though. I was really disappointed in the food quality this time.

Sever was slow and not very friendly. Couldn't start with our appetizer as we had no cutlery and by the time we got it, food was cold. Had to ask for condiments such as salt and ketchup. Ordered food to go at end of meal and burger was way overcooked.basically burnt and inedible. Had to wait forever for the bill.

It's like a regular restaurant environment, however, the waitress didn't ask how was our food, which I was waiting, because my Mushrooms are not edible. They are really salty. Ruined the restaurant experience.

Great meal with friends. I have a allergy which i realize is difficult for others sometimes.but our waitress was amazing. Never once made me feel bad, answered all my questions. Love when suggestions are offered and if they dont know the answer they ask.not just say no without trying.

Had a large group (14) in for lunch today to celebrate a pregnant coworker. Server was great with attending to everyone's needs while we waited for everyone to arrive, especially the guest of honor. Orders were taken efficiently and all food arrived together. Everyone's meal was exactly as ordered even with some minor dietary requests needed, and all the food was good. Manager even stopped by for a quick chat to see how everyone was doing. Great experience all around.will consider for future group events.

Our server was very friendly and the new menu has some very good choices. One of our party is vegetarian and they were happy with the new vegetarian options on the menu. I had the steak with truffle sauce, it was delicious! Would recommend for a meal with friends, date night or a birthday celebration.

An overall okay experience here. Showed up for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was very lively. We had to wait for a table but the wait wasnt long at all. Me and my wife ordered the steaks which were cooked very well. Definitely was much better than I expected. Our server was polite but missed the gravy I ordered and also the bread that was supposed to come with our steaks. Also the glass of water I had wasnt cleaned very well (had food particles in it). Overall place wasnt bad. It was Saturday and busy so makes sense but still, I'm gonna have to go with 3 stars for the missing items in our order and the dirty glass that I was served.
