Went there with a friend after a busy concert, was already expected to wait some time which wasn’t the problem. The problem was the 2 securitbouncers were very rude and shoved me twice without acknowledging me or apologizing as I was waiting in line. Will not return back to this location if these are the people jack astors employs

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce restaurant. Par chez moi il n'y en a pas et à chaque fois que je vais à Toronto, je vais à ce restaurant et je prends un des gros drinks dans un bol. Ils sont bons! La nourriture est bonne aussi et il y a une belle variété!
La seule chose est qu'il faut descendre plusieurs marches pour aller aux toilettes. Pour les personnes à mobilité réduite, ce n'est pas super. Sinon, très bien pour le reste!

This company has a very racist and prejudice mentality, and the management is disgusting. All they care about is taking your money, and if you don't play their game, they will just fire you. Go somewhere else. There are better establishments that do not treat people like this.

I found a broken glass in my pitcher of beer. It’s insanity. How can a restaurant this famous be this careless? I’d suggest you better watch your food when you eat there.

Bianca, our server was incredible. She was super attentive and kind. Also, sat at the bar for a bit and our bartender Erin was amazing! Great conversation and an overall vibe.

It's a chain. Reasonable food at reasonable prices. If you want something a little "elevated" I'd dine elsewhere.

If I could define jacks it would be - energy and power. Joe was a great server, wings on point and pints delicious!

Awsome food, Had a wonderful drinks followed by Dinner with colleagues, Amazing atmosphere and loved it a lot.

Enjoyed their chicken wings tossed in honey sauce with Garlic bread with cheese and Butter.

We would recommend this restaurant to anyone else who visits or lives in Toronto. Our server Kael was engaged, knowledgeable, and obviously cared that we had a great experience. We had an outstanding meal, including the recommended Nachos (Thanks Kael). We had a great time and can’t wait to come back. Two thumbs way up!

Great service! Went to this location on a Raptor’s game night and got a table right away. Our waiters name was Faraz, he was very polite and quick with getting drinks and food. Also, he was very helpful offering suggestions off the menu and bringing refills. Very friendly! Would recommend.

Was here for a leafs game with a friend.
We came around 6pm and it was busy.
Luckily we got seated right away.
Our server Randy was quick, got our drinks and food right away.
We thought we would be late but wow! The service was amazing.

We had dinner here, the atmosphere and staff was amazing, Jeff our server was incredible, always smiling and checking in on us we will definitely be back again!

Great staff but average-to-lousy food. The ambience is pleasant enough if visiting with a large enough group, say work colleagues. Otherwise, there is no point in spending time and money at an establishment with such underwhelming options.

Ordered poutine as my starter and it came stupid quick, ended up being the last of the fries the cook just threw on a plate and tried to sell it like it was good. The gravy was lukewarm and as you can see in the second picture the old top of the gravy that they didn’t mix was on my plate. 3rd picture is the replacement, that took longer like expected because they actually cooked new fries for me. Curds werent melty was so ever. Rest of the food was meh, I think they’re allergic to salt? 202 with food and super sour Moscow Mules/ Ceasars. Keep in mind it was also a Monday, super slow and they couldn’t even execute a poutine.

I was greeted by a very kind lady and was seated promptly. I was served by Sydney A. Great person to talk to very warm and attentive. Would love to come again!

We had the most amazing experience with Sydney as our waitress. Always was with a smile on her face and also had a nice chat with her. Thanks Sydney and Jack's for the delicious food!

Went there this past weekend and was served by this gentlemen Jeff! Amazing service, funny and very welcoming! Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the Toronto area and make sure to ask for Jeff! He will make sure you have a great time at this restaurant and enjoy your dinner!

Went out with the boys for a couple cold ones over the weekend and had a proper night out at this Jack Astor's. Wasn't expecting much in terms of service or food but to our surprise we had a wicked time with great drinks and apps for the boys to share, our server Greg was a huge beauty boasting a great knowledge of all the taps. Safe to say Greg earned his tip for the night.

Great spot before leafs, jays or raps. Greg was our server, definitely the best server in the city. Very personable and friendly.knew a lot about the menu and beer. Good for family and friends. Definitely a spot to check out.

Recently I visited this location as I was in the area, as a regular at another location I must say the service and food here was my preference. Greg was very helpful and friendly. Good environment overall great experience for my family. Will stop by again

Food is solid, drink selection more than reasonable but when you ask if they’re playing a game with sound and they assure you it’s not a problem, then seat you and tell you they *can’t* play it with sound and then turn the channel despite it being entirely empty in the last minute of your game that you’ve spent three hours there eating and drinking, you can only conclude you’ve arrived at a joke of an establishment. Glad to hear Beertown is open next door, they’ll get our patronage here on when in the area.

This is our 3rd time giving this location a chance and once again left after appetizers really wanted to enjoy a nice date night but once again disappointed

Ive been to this location a couple of times and have always had a good experience. The other night we had Greg as our server and he was exceptional. Orders were taken quickly, and food and drink service was fast. Ill be back soon!

Had a great time with our server Jeff. He made us feel super safe and welcome the entire time - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

**UPDATE** Yet another awesome night at J. A's. Came back as promised and sat inside time. Had our same bar tender (Dan) who was even better than before! If I could give you more stars I would. All the staff has been so great on both occasions.
Went to Jack Astors for dinner before the tfc game last night and had a great time! We were sitting in an uncovered portion of the patio and as soon as it started to rain the waitress came over to move us elsewhere. We were seated at the bar and had the best time. The bar tenders were awesome. My friend and I had an amazing time! Will definitely be back in the near future!

Server dropped by once in an hour. Forgot chicken on my salad despite confirming it with me 6 times while ordering. Chicken breast on the fly took 25 mins….

Horrible. The service has gone down alot since covid. $50 worth of food for $15 dollars portion size. Literally the pasta bowl was half full and the wings were dry with a tablespoon of sauce provided on the side. We literally uber eats mcdonalds after cause we were so hungry‍️

Good food although no more Calamari we liked so much. Atmosphere was good with adequate heating. Good times

Classic Jack's, patio is open and got a heater. Always come here for good drinks, and good nachos. If you ever can count on a place being open it's here.

Went here for a friend's birthday. They were very accomodating for a large reservation and served food quickly. Great place, great food, great drinks.

Great location but service was only so-so. Yes it was busy, but the server would disappear for long periods of time, no condiments for the burgers (had to ask the host), and had to ask several times to get water. The meals were hot and we received them quickly, however they had very little flavour. The poutine gravy tasted like it came out of a can and was extremely salty. The Ceasar salad was made up of mostly Romain lettuce ends with many that were browned. The only saving grace was that the burgers were juicy. Not worth the money.

The service was ok and the food was nothing spectacular. One our order was mixed up. We needed a French menu to help us with our food selection and of course one was not available.

During our work Christmas party the service was pretty good considering there was ~200 people. Great spot for beverages after work and close to Union station. Food is pretty good too.

Went to eat before the jingleball concert. Super friendly staff. Was super busy and food still came in good time, tasted delicious, and service was friendly.

Chilli tomato sauce for KIDS pasta that even adults may struggle to eat.they said it is not chilli but because of garlic my daughter may feel that way!? I tried too and it was CHILLI.we ordered another pasta without sauce - this time it served as cold.we will not be here again - NOT RECOMMENDED

A poor culinary experience. A shock when you get the bill. Very good space for events. Too bad about the food and pricing.

Ambiance, food and staff are exceptional. First time and i loved it.garlic cheese bread, buffalo and sesame wings, mash potato and sangria. Great food at a good price

I ordered some garlic pan bread. When it arrived, it had cheese on it. I brought this to the attention of the waiter who asked me what I wanted to do about it. Not wanting to make a scene, I said I'd eat it anyway and just picked the cheese off. When the bill came and I was charged for the cheese (I think it's a $2 surcharge), I again explained to the waiter that I didn't want cheese and hadn't asked for it. His response was "well, you ate it anyway, so I'm not changing the bill. " I was shocked. The manager offered me coupons for my next visit, but I was still upset by the poor service.

Food and service is ok, not great and not bad. Be prepared to yell if you want to be heard. We just found it extremely noisy to hold a decent conversation.

5 stars for the honest server we had yesterday. I wish i could remember her name she was on the left section at the back. We were a group of 12 that came in at around 8ish and were the last 4 to leave. At that point we noticed our bill to be high and on inquiry were told that someone had forgotten to pay their bill. It was an extra $30/40 and we paid and left and went out and a few of us started smoking on the sidewalk. After around 5 minutes this server comes running out letting us know that she had made a mistake and that the people had paid cash and returned the extra money back. I was so impressed with her honesty a truly beautiful person.

Nothing fancy and this location is loud and very busy. But they do a good job of serving you quickly. Decent beer selection.

The place is huge. The interior is decorated beautifully. The staff were excellent. The burger was great. They had a flavor of bourbon that i was cool with. My only complaint was that the music was so loud i couldn't. Talk to my date. Other than the music volume this image is legit.

Great food and fast service. We got our food within 15 minutes, absolutely no reason to complain. Otherwise the food wouldn‘t be freshed cooked.

The staff is friendly and helpful, a customized food order wasn‘t a problem at all.

No understanding for bad reviews based on a unfriendly and/or slow service.

I am usually a big fan of Jack Astor's because of the fun atmosphere. Today I had lunch and ordered the 7oz standard burger and while it was a decent burger, they oddly give you two small burger patties that are well done instead of one big burger. Not my preference. I usually order their buffalo wings here and will go back to that next time.

Loved this restaurant when my husband and I were travelling through Toronto. Visited 2 and found the staff very friendly.
