Went for xmas lunch with some friends. Service was great. Food and atmosphere was casual which was great. Would recommend

I was sitting in cocktail this evening and I was delighted to have Liv and Trexie as our servers. Great service by these two!

Strolled in for a beer and to watch the Leafs game. Stayed for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised at the high level of attentiveness I received from the staff even though the entire restaurant was PACKED. Special mention goes out to Mariam, the bartender for crushing the dining room orders without forgetting about the guests at the bar. Sue, the manager, was also excellent. There was a minor issue with the food but she insisted on making it right and went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was second to none. I would definitely return just to interact with the staff again!

Great food and great service. Prices are great value for your money. A very large selection of menu items and drinks to choose from. Very well balanced meals and low calorie options as well. A big shout to Silvia who made our experience extra special.

I am a service inspired restaurant app member. I had trouble finding your app on my mobile phone when I arrived your restaurant. Your staff were too busy with other customers and didn't help me. I am supposed to have a 10% lunch discount and reward points on my membership. All of it is forfeited because I paid the bill.

This is the second time happened! I think your app do not value repeat customers like myself!

Watch out for BIG Tipping trap! 18%, 20% and 25% pop up on my credit card payment machine. I picked the lowest 18%! The service is definitely not worth 18%!

Food was great! Server was great. It got a little chilly on the patio, we wanted the lanterns lit, unfortunately they said they were out of propane so we were given an option inside. Ambulance not the same.

Went on a Sunday evening. Indoors was very full with high noise levels. Set on the patio which was nicely laid out and one could have a conversation. Entire location was clean.

My waitress (goes by 'Jacks') was very friendly, observant, and even had time for a quick convo (nice for a frequent solo traveler).

I ordered a ‘Classic New York Steak’. It came with a baked potato and vegetables. All the food items were luck warm at best. The steak was slightly over cooked and had lots of grizzles. The vegetables were green beans with 3-4 very small pieces of red pepper. Not much taste to them and dripping of oil. The potato was good. I normally mention if a food item is not to my liking to give the kitchen an opportunity to fix it. But with all of them under par, I feel it was a systemic issue. This was also confirmed by another table that expressed similar issues with the food prior to mine arriving.

My Rating: '4 Stars' = Very Good, '5 Stars' = Way Above Expectations

I came in today with a my coworkers to celebrate my friends birthday. We were a large party but Matt was still very fast, attentive and all round nice guy.

Walk in around 7: 30pm received my food around 8: 10, and the food is cold, i ask for steak medium rare but recieved well done steak. Campare to the keg steak house, red lobster, just not on the same level.

I just want to express my gratitude for the amazing service me and my friend received today Marianne (I hope I got it right) was exceptional! She was so friendly and attentive, we received all of our items from our order super fast, she made sure we had great time and truly went above and beyond ️ thank you so much, you made our evening!

Our hockey team held a team dinner (approx 20 adults, 20 kids) over the weekend. Despite being a big group with lots of varying requests, the staff at Jack Astors were incredible. They were kind, courteous and the drinks & food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was hot and tasty, the drinks were cold and fresh and most importantly we all had a great time. Thank you again to the staff - you guys did such a great job and we hope to see you again next year!

There was an incident with my friend and some glass, but the management was very quick! Before I could fully comprehend what was happening the general manager Sarah came to our table. The situation was handled professionally and quickly. A big shout out to our server Rob who was calm and collected through the whole thing! The food was also really good!

The service was quick and friendly over lunch. I believe our servers name was Lindsay. Lunch was moderately busy and the wings didn't take long.highly recommended. Jen the manager came by just checking in and that's always welcome. Very much enjoyed our time.

Service was great and food was decent. Definitely took a long time for food to come out and seems that it was sitting there for a while as it was warm rather than hot.

Used to come here growing up, came by today with 5 of my buddies. Service was worse then anything I've seen. We were a thirsty bunch and every drink took 30 mins to come. We had to pre plan to get our drinks. And it was not busy at all. Food was decent but service was a negative 1000. They even came quick with our bill, but took 30 mins to pick up the money. Used to come here all the time, worst service in 2021. Rookie of the year staff. Never again.horrible experience. Wish it was 2010 when this was a good spot. Also the burger was dry AF.

We ordered 4 different foods and all of them were super salty and not edible. The manager asked us to select other foods. The second round of foods were still super salty. We were told that their new supplier has been notified of their salty products but haven't taken any actions yet. It was a waste of money since we paid for the food that we couldn't eat.
Also, keep in mind that their menu has changed.

I had a night out here with some girlfriends and had a wonderful experience. Our server was incredibly friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious and came all at the same time and didn't take too long. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, and I will be coming back!

First time dining in since the pandemic started. Been here many times in the past and always enjoyed it. Their COVID policies are on point here. Proper vaccine passport and contract tracing measures taken. They even have an option for your waiter to give the full service experience, or bare minimum to avoid contact. Food was great as usual and the drinks are always decently priced. I felt safe coming here which was the best part. It got a little busier as the night went on but the place is large enough that everyone was distanced. Thumbs up!

I love this location! Amazing food presentation always and The staff is always friendly. I came here with my husband a couple of weeks ago and I was having a bad day from work, and my server Amir noticed and was super nice to me. When I asked for the bill at the end of my meal, he instead presented me and my husband with a dessert on the house! I will never forget that as he made me feel so much better with his kindness on behalf of him and the staff. Thanks you so much Amir and the rest of staff:)

This place has such great food! Their singing bee chicken sandwich is amazing, and their burgers are very tasty and juicy too. Plus the staff was so nice. I really want to come back here!

I won’t start with worst experience, as our table attendee was trying very hard to get us right service however the food wasn’t up to the mark
I have been many jack Astor’s locations never had this problem before. Let me start with drink I ordered vergin mojito, which has so much lemon I would say only lemon and water (understood it’s vergin mojito) but it was hell bitter. Then we got nachos, well one can’t go with nachos anyway managed very well it was underdone and quite raw. Let’s go with bruschetta, the 1st order was excellent crunch was perfect, taste was good and looked like a bruschetta and then unfortunately we ordered again and it was again completely wrong May they forgot to cook our breads 2nd time. We have more I ordered sauté vegetables (Asian style under plant based) can’t eat it that much sweet, the rice was not fresh. My friend ordered pad Thai noodles it was pathetic in taste. However one thing was good hold the beef burgers cheers to that. We were 5 ppl and it was Saturday night wish we went to another location.

This is a one odd place. It is kind of OK - food, drinks, ambiance - wide choice. But the pictures around you can be disturbing.

Had a great experience at the bar yesterday. Our bartender Amy (I believe) was so nice. We told her we had experienced at another restaurant and she took care of us. We had a single malt and then finished it off with Grand Marnier. She was so pleasant and attentive. Too bad they don’t provide snacks to eat at the bar. Great service. Definitely recommend!

Anything we wanted to order of the menu wasn't available and the chicken was so salty on the pasta

The servers we had were very friendly. The food was good and prices reasonable. For a very busy Friday night the service was quick. We sat o. The patio which had dividers between the tables, and we saw the staff disinfect the tables between patrons.

Jack Astor's here in Richmond hill is a decent restaurant to visit. The food was a bit lacking compared to other Jack Astor's like the amazing one in St Catharines but still worth visiting. The service was exceptional and is the sole reason for the 4 stars instead of 2 stars. The staff is very kind and friendly and ensures the restaurant follows Covid-19 protocols.

Haven't been to Jack Astor's for a few years. The menu is new and so are the prices.higher of course, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was great.friendly and attentive.
All 3 of our dishes were delicious and they were of a good size. We left happy and full.

It was Saturday night and we were 5 people. The service was not good. Food was not properly served. The plates were wet and dirty and not cleaned properly. The bruschetta was not baked properly. Nachos were not baked as well. It was the worst experience I had ever in jack Astor’s.

Nice ambience and Good variety of food. 4 Stars because the appetizers weren't amazing but the food was amazing! We want to thank Nahal our server for the quality service

I feel like the franchise has declined so much since I started going there 30 years ago. No more free peanuts or garlic bread, they don't even give crayons anymore. And this location especially has the smallest portions.

We were regular at this location pre covid. Food was really bad today chicken was dry. Nachos were disaster. So disappointed.

Great patio, friendly service. Plenty of seating available. Waited for about 10 minutes to be seated without an appointment on Friday night.

The waiteress comes after 45 minutes and then started rushing me and got super irritated when i was asking about some items on the menu that shes busy. Literally told me im busy and have to serve drinks so hurry.
Needless to say ordered their paid thai which was sweet like ketchup taste and disgusting. Never coming back

Usually order the chicken fingers and most of them time they are good. This time at this location they were very dry and had no taste.

Not much options for vegans and vegetarians, no Indian tadka in available options, extremely expensive and owners sound greedy

Had our company party of 15-20 people there this evening. Amazing service by Brad our waiter and their managers. The food was well enjoyed and everyone had a great night.

Garlic bread was dry. And that's pretty bad considering its supposed to be in a pan of butter. Chicken was salty as heck. Without having met the kitchen staff I can't imagine them being different then a McDonald's kitchen team.

The sevice was horrible, we sat down and after 10 mins of waiting, noticed other people who arrived after us were getting service.
Had to go the staff and ask them for service and they all looked dazed!

What a horrible experience. I ordered the chicken wrap with goat cheese but there was no cheese taste whatsoever.the first 2 bites of the wrap had chicken in them and afterwards there is nothing but tortilla and veggies. I ordered a mexican salad next to it and I had a bowl of soggy lettuce with one cherry tomato in it and no sign of avocado or anything else in that salad.horrible horrible experience. Never again! Zero star.

Shocking, shocking service. The manager is extremely rude. I called in to make a reservation and was told I can’t book for under 8 people but o would be priority. Yes 25 minutes later!

Our first restaurant in Canada. Great food. Perfect for happy hours or to come down with your family. Beer selection is good but could improve on the wheat side. Burgers are great and the pasta is really good. I shared a steak with my wife side with parmesan fries and it was very very good. Meat temperature was perfect and fried were crispy. Unfortunately they messed up my beer choice and I had to explain why they brought me the wrong beer. To finish up, they have a very good environment for sports fans.

Casual restaurant/pub style venue. Had the steak, lots of flavor and great presentation.
Staff was able to get 8 of us in no problem.

The shrimp pasta was just ok.felt It was kinda dry not enough sauce. On the bright side had a good atmosphere.

Waiters have no people skills and were yelling at our group for changing seats and refused to separate our bills.what a mess.terrible place

I've been going to Jacks since they opened the Scarborough Town Centre, that's a lot of years and a lot business/personal meals and nachos. Although I have no loyalty to which Jacks I go to, I do have a loyalty to Jacks in general.
It's all there lots big screens with GR8 variety of stations on. Good food with generous portions. Fun/loud atmosphere, NOT romantic. Sounds like and should have been 5however.
Our visit to the Markham/Thornhill (404 and 7) was LESS than average. POOR wait time at the door, waitress FAILED to check on us, my wife's tuna bowl was good but my nachos were SOGGY. I cut the chips with my fork. The monster peanut butter desert (1900 calories) was too dry. It would have been better if it had ice cream in it. When leaving we had an UNCOMFORTABLE wait to get our cheque.
When asked about our visit or waitress response was that she was sorry to hear that and thanked us for coming.
In 20 years (? !) of eating at Jacks its NEVER failed to deliver. Unfortunately the LACK of service or management was what provoked this rating.

Food is usual Jack Astor's but they really need to be more attentive. There was a group before us and I guess we were standing closer to the zone, we got offered a table first. I apologize if the other group got upset but it honestly wasn't our fault. We were not asked "who's here first".
