Went with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. Waiter didn't ask if it was a special occasion, he didn't even care. And the chicken wings were raw on the inside.

Josh is byfar the best waiter of all time! Highly recommend this location, and definitely request Josh to be your server!

Rarely do I visit Jacks but upon my recent visit my experience was great!

The service and attention to detail was very impressive. The hostesses were very welcoming! I was served by one of the bartenders Keyur, he really gave us good recommendations of drinks and set such a good vibe it that it really stood out and made our visit memorable.

Feels like a funeral in there. Great sporting events on, 10-15 guys at bar watching, but they refuse to play the audio. Apparently corporate does not allow them any leeway in servicing their clients. Something that could add atmosphere on a monday at 9pm is beyond the local managers control. So basically what could be a decent spot to watch sports is a waste. Instead you hear the same top 40 list from 2015 and everyone at the bar just looks grim. Felt like a funeral there tonight.

Hit Jacks after the Jays game…TTC shut down so we walked up Yonge a bit and found Jacks at Yonge/Bloor. It was quiet for a Saturday night and we got a booth immediately. No wait at all. Service was excellent and fast. Beer / drinks were cold and food was excellent. And a big shout out to the Good Samaritan sitting in the bar. According to staff This local guy goes there and will randomly pay for families meals - which we encountered. He asked for nothing and wanted no attention at all.

Food was great as always but the service was what will make me go back. Our server, Justine was just so positive and genuinely made our day. There were also difficult clients a few tables away and she still was able to serve them with a smile. People like her make this place a safe guarantee bet when you don't want to risk it.

I stopped in with some friends. I decided to try something new. I had the Mexican chicken bowl. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Good place to sit in an and enjoy lunch during the weekday!

Only the chicken is halal and it’s not mentioned on the menu so ensure you tell the server about needing halal chicken.

I ordered a crispy sandwich which was delicious. Not overly oily and succulent. Great slim fries and fresh! You have the option to choose between salad or fries.

Drinks have free refills. I ordered a coke.

It pains me to say as I've had good food at Jack Astor's but tonight you my fellow kitchen workers really disappointed. Our food was taking so long, even though there was not a lot of people, we asked to cancel the appetizer and right then our main was served. It was luke warm, which shows the food has been sitting in the kitchen when not even the appetizer was prepared and served, very strange. My chicken pasta bowtie was really sad, the sauce was flat and cheaply made, wouldn't be surprised if it was package sauce. My boyfriend's steak meal was flavorless, vegetables were overcooked and completely lack any seasoning, not even a trace of olive oil. The steak also no flavor, not even salt and pepper, the minimum care for a good piece of meat! It tasted like a steak that had been previously par-cooked, left in the fridge for a day or two and then seared at the grill briefly before serving. When dining out you don't expect to see in front of you a meal that seems like it came out of the microwave made by someone who doesn't know how to cook. For the white chef coats in the kitchen you've clearly lost your passion tonight.
We're the kind of costumers that usually will not complain. We overlook something we don't like in respect of the hard workers in the front and back of house (as ourselves are part of this industry) but damn this was an experience I regret not sending the food back. It was unacceptable to pay close to $100 bucks for such a poorly food preparation/experience. So I lay here my frustration for our hard earned money we wasted.

I went with my sister for lunch. I got the fiesta salad. I requested to take some things off for allergy reasons. And I asked for a side of sour cream instead of dressing. Never got it. But the salad was very tasty. The garlic bread. It was the very delightful, light and fluffy.
My sister got the chicken Alfredo and sauce. She looked like she enjoyed it. She didn't talk, and she's a talker.

I'm in the area weekly so thought I'd pick up to-go orders. Yesterday was the first time. It took a while for the hostess to find her ipad while others were immediately seated and orders taken. I finally got my order in, waited 40mins then the same hostess avoided me like the plague when I tried to ask how long was left - once! Overall one hour wait. Had to cancel an appointment. She said they had other uber orders ahead of me (seriously?). This could have been avoided with simple communication. Definitely not going back.

At first, nobody cared to take us an order and at last, because it was 10: 30 and they wanted to go, they just wanted to collect everything from our table which was not finished

The server Justine was so adorable and gave us a great experience. She was funny and witty and I was having a day so it meant a lot. She also wrote her name upside down and that truck sold me! 10/10 would come back as the food was delish, but the service is what would really get me back.

You can enjoy nacho and poutine in style.
Recommended for a light night out with friends.
