Jack's Kanata

Not the usual experience that we have come to expect. The food was cold and by the time our server came by around we were over halfway done our meals. He offered to have I reheated but it seemed pointless at that time.

We go to Jack Astors several times a year and we are never disappointed. The food is always good and the service as well.

Service was fantastic! Food was tasty but expensive. For three (me, hubby and a teenager girl), no liquor, app and main meal was $100 plus. Women's bathroom cleanness wasn't the greatest, as we where not there at a busy time.

Service was excellent and Steven service waa outstanding, just walked out of the montanas across the road because of horrible service. Portion sizes were very good. Service was fast. Mushroom burger was excellent. Patio good and chicken tacos were good. Passion fruit cocktail was pricey$9.99 without alcohol is overpriced

For a $45.00 steak you'd think the potato would at least be warm and fresh. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere was spectacular!

Wonderful food and great service. Everything on the menu seems to be made to perfection! It's just a little too loud for me. Cool looking place though.

Beer was ice cold, but the wings were kinda oily. My wife's meal was cooked to perfection! We'll ve going back!

Great patio environment. I will definitely go back. Lots of items on their menu that I want to try! The summer food menu was very delicious.

Me and my friends were at Jack Astors tonight, and we got seated with Vonnie! She was the sweetest waitress I’ve ever had, and provided great service and conversation. Me and my friends had an even better time because of her:)

Hosted a friend from back home and super service with patio atmosphere! From my understanding, Jackastors is run out of Burlington ON, unlike other chains that have US HQs so we like supporting local business!

Awesome place. We had an amazing meal. The service from start to finish was phenomenal and 100 percent top notch.

Awful. Went for lunch. Loud music, like so loud you had to shout at the person across from you! Ridiculous. Food was not good at all. Fries were super salty, probably hoping you’ll drink more. Not a hope in hell would we go back!
Server was ok, took 15 minutes to have her come by and even acknowledge we were there…

Absolutely amazing restaurant! The foof and service was out of this world and the manager, Torrey, took amazing care of us. 100% would recommend.

Family of 4, dinner out before the show. I ordered the Vietnamese Noodle dish because the description said it had mango, avocado and crispy onions which I ingredients that I love. Also added chicken for an extra $6. I got less than an ounce of chicken, maybe a tsp of mango, can't say how much crispy onions because we're hard to find, and an acceptable amount of of avocado. There was a plateful of rice noodles and lettuce. The sauce left me with burning mouth for a while after eating. The sauce tasted good, just too hot. My main issue is the amount of quality ingredients I was hoping to pay for. I don't mind paying $23 for a salad if it's not a bowl of rice and lettuce. I said we much to the waitress and all she said was that it was their summer menu and she would give this feedback to those concerned. There was no discount applied to my meal, which would have been nice.

Chicken parm was really good. Server was great. But did not like when time to pay and tipping options on machine were 18,20 and 25%. Bit presumptuous.

Our server came to our table twice during the entire dinning experience. Once to take our order (drinks, apps and entrees at the same time). She then had us a wait 20 minutes for drinks and forgot one drink and made that person wait another 20 minutes before sending over a hostess to ask us what drink she forgot. So one of us did not have a drink until after we finish our entrees. Then when the drink finally came, it was the wrong beer. The nachos had 60% of the chips with no toppings or cheese on them (30$ nachos) and they brought poutine with no gravy… by the time we got our servers attention that we did not get any gravy, the food was cold and we just wanted to leave. When we told the server about the gravy she said “that almost never happens”. When she brought the bills I asked if she could do something about the poutine (take it off the bill since it was not touched) and she came back with a container… we then asked for a manager and he took the poutine off and gave us a 15% discount per item. Overall bad experience, food was not great, service was awful.will not be returning. Jack astors on hunt club is 10 times better.

My friend and I decided to visit the patio for lunch, our server Jade was an absolute joy. Made our visit so much better!

Excellent dinner tonight. Some of the best beef nachos I've had. Cocktails were really good too. Pasta dish was a new one on the menu and it was good but not great. The service was excellent though. A shout out to Vonnie she was exceptional.

We haven’t been to Kanata Jack Astor’s in a couple years and thought we’d give it a try. I don’t know why we even bother. The service is always disappointing no matter where we are seated however tonight we were tucked in a corner and were forgotten about. It took 10 minutes for our server to introduce herself and we ordered our drinks. It took half an hour to receive our drinks yet the tables that were seated around us after us all received their drinks and apps before our drinks were brought out by another server. Our server did stop by at one point during this waiting period to take our order which took half an hour to receive as well. I’d normally have no issue waiting but we ordered apps to split amongst the 4 of us. The food was not worth the price, it came out warm, so clearly it had been waiting a while before it came out, and for certain things like the pan bread to come out with oil an inch deep in the bottom of the pan it was really disappointing. The nachos were overcooked and soggy at the same time. Had the server walked by or even close to our table at any point during our meal we would have been able to let her know but our table was by the front door and our server seemed to avoid the area completely. Even though the kids didn’t get kids meals the server offered them free dessert which was great for them. We were told about the rewards program and signed up so we could get the 15% off our meal but the server never stayed long enough for us to give our number to register. I’ve never had this a many issues at any other Jack locations I’ve been to.

Was a great night out.

Love going there. This time was bumpy though. Server kept apologizing and we don't know why. No potatoes which was weird but no biggie. No paper on table to play with but again no biggie.

Like the new atmosphere. The food wasn't as good as before. Garlic loaf is not worth it
