Jackson Square Dental Centre

I can't say this enough, but the worst dental experience you can have in probably all of Hamilton is at Jackson Square Dental.

Banned me almost 10 years ago for double billing on the exact same tooth for the exact same problem they refused to fix originally, and as a result my insurance refused to pay them. I guess it doesn't help I called the insurance company as I was walking out of their office to let them know what was happening and to squash that real quick!

Banned my partially blind wife and my 3 kids because she was questioning their staff. They dont like when a person that has an IQ of 144 makes the receptionists and dentists look like idiots by asking questions that they don't want to answer.

If you need teeth pulled, I recommend a couple shots of alcohol, and a bow&arrow with 100lb test line instead of going to Jackson Square Dental. It'll get done quicker and more efficiently!

Receptionist are always busy.
I was requesting my records since April, 3 months after that, they just wanted to cut the calls without doblecheck the personal information or be sure that I have had resolve my inconvenience.

Amazing experience with sleep dentistry! It was quick and I have my dentures put in at the same time. Now I have a beautiful smile! Thanks for everything.

I highly recommend! The staff is warm and welcoming. I came in extremely nervous because I have sensitive gums and teeth. One of the staff members, allysa from the front desk, helped with all my questions and reassured me that the dentists were amazing

Was extremely nervous getting my tooth pulled. I didnt know who was doing it till the day of. Nobody tells you any information here unless you ask. They should just tell you these important things at least the name of the Dr.who will be removing my tooth.no one even itroduced themselves to make one feel comfortable. I didn't know the assistants name I didn't know the dentists name.i was a new patient! They just get to the point without an introduction? So rating goes down! Anyways I am super glad Dr. Kassem was the one to do it! Phew professional and quick he definitely knew what he was doing made my stress go down a bit thank you

This was my first experience here and i can honestly say that the place is great. The staff are very polite and patient. The wait times are NOT long at ALL considering they called me in early. The assistent and dentist were both very nice and accomidating especially when feeling anxious. Extraction took 30 minutes max. Overall id recommend

The worst possible place to go i went there and they wanted me to pull a molar because my coverage covered the emergency stuff. So I walked out. I went to my dentist today in Dundas. And got the tooth filled for 175. And he said that it's ridiculous that they'd even suggest pulling it. They are rude there and very unprofessional Just pay for your dental yourself. That's what I did. These guys are losers!

Wanted to add an update that it's now 3 years later since I made this review and that molar they told me to pull that I got another dentist to fill is still going strong

This dental office is amazing! Their prices are not too expensive and they explain each procedure done. The communication is concise and the staff is extremely friendly. My partner and I were absolutely amazed by their service and will be coming back again! Thanks staff at Jackson Square Dental!

Jackson Square dental was great place to get a cleaning and repair.but after the call I had with a rep. Elaina very combating.doesn't let you talk.calls people liars. No assurance that you will have a appointment.tries to force appointments.if I treated someone the way they did I would be fired on the spot.all I want is for Elaina to relax and listen to what is going on.cause I asked multiple times are you canceling the appointment on Friday and she said I don't know.the appointment is two days away what do you mean.i hope Allen see this because this isn't right.what happened to cx service

Always a positive experience at Jackson Square Dental Center, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming and professional. Dr Akkad is an amazing dentist that makes every effort in creating a comfortable environment which is greatly appreciated especially since dental visits are so stressful.

First appointment was great. An organized practice for sure. Was given a good checkup for my teeth. Probably a more extensive examination than other dentists I have been to. Friendly people as well.

Terrible service. I had been waiting for an appointment around 2 month and I never got it. They also charge you procedures that they say that can be fully cover for the insurance, but at the end you have to pay extra

They were very thorough and quick. As much as one can say they enjoyed a dental appointment, i enjoyed this one! I am very grateful for the expertise and courtesy with which my treatment was handled - thank you to the Dentist and Staff!

I am really thankful to their team who firstly give me instant appointment for my emergency. I had a very unbearable painful teeth for that I couldn’t sleep 2 nights. They instantly understand my problem even though I was a new patient for them and helped me to get treat right away. Very helpful staff. I don’t know the name but the 2 lady in receptionist was awesome. Very kind and polite and helpful.

I can't get them to email me my x-rays so that I can go to another dentist. I had to call them multiple times and I can't get an answer other than we are waiting for a doctor to sign the papers. How long does it take to sign a paper? Feels like I'm being penalized for choosing to move to another dentist. Very unprofessional. Do better.

I had a wonderful experience here despite being terrified of the Dentist, they made me feel safe and welcome, very nice employees.

I’ve had mixed experiences at this place, overall the dentist they have though he’s pretty great and definitely listens when I say I don’t have tons of money to spend on dental stuff, I didn’t find the staff to be always the most friendly which I could understand why that can be really offputting to some people because you are giving them a lot of money to do their job, The reason I continue to go back is because of the dentist and how great he really is, I wouldn’t recommend this place for any type of surgery though, I had a negative experience were the next day I had around 10 cold sores in my mouth and couldn’t eat for like two weeks, really the only thing I can conclude is lack of cleanliness during an operation which would cause something of that severity, so I would just be wearing and careful of certain services but this place is fine for something like a simple tooth extraction but I don’t know if I’d get anything more complicated done every again

I've been a patient of Dr. Akkad for a number of years, following years of treatment by other dentists. Because Dr. Akkad is easily the very best dentist I have ever encountered, I no longer fear dental treatment. Five stars!

I tried getting braces for my daughter here but just got the run around, (insured) if we would have waited any longer my daughters teeth would have suffered, so took her to Dr Gaits on Upper James (beside limeridge) instead, got her braces on faster then i could say hello and the service was impeccable. Jackson.not sure how they're still around. I have a new dentist now myself.never recommended this place to anyone.

The used car business/puppy mill of "Dental services". Quantity over quality. It's all about the money with them and it shows.

Upsell - Sell - Sell - Sell and recommend the more expensive dental services whether you need them or not. Very pushy sales tactics. They even talk fast while trying to get you agree to these extras. From the many plastic office doors to the outdated dental equipment to the fast talking salesman. I mean dental assistant to the harsh hard to understand "dentists". Everything just feels off and wrong about this place.

They didn't want to listen or act on my teeth concerns but push for the more expensive alternative, then seemed to get angry and frustrated when I declined their services. I just didn't feel comfortable with pushy people whose qualifications are questionable messing with my teeth.

If it doesn't feel right or you have concerns.just walk away. There are hundreds of other dentists out there that will put you at ease. This isn't one of them. It's all about high numbers of people with them, high turnover rates while charging you the maximum they can get out of you. In and out like an assembly line. Quantity over quality here.

Stay away. You've been warned!

Great experience from the moment I arrived. Receptionist Kristen greeted me with a big smile. Having anxiety (amplified at the dentist) DH V was amazing at calming my nerves. You can tell she loves her job. Extremely personable and will be returning for her specifically. Dr. Akked was amazing at understanding my needs and helped me explore the best options for the work I need done. Highly recommend

This location is really a little difficult to find, because there are many dentists in it. I found this place by asking the staff and showing the photos I found on the Internet. To give you a hint, it is upstairs opposite Dollaram, and you can walk up the nearest stairs to get there.

The dentist and assistant we wonderful taking care ofy daughters mouth. Made it very comfortable amd relaxed for her treatment. Definantly reccomend this dentist to my frkemds and their kids

I had 2 teeth removed by Dr. Subha (not certain of spelling), who was very kind, and attentive to my needs.
All 3 of the hygienists I’ve worked with (most recently Victoria), have been courteous, professional, yet also kind and down to earth. They explain exactly what will happen, and what you can expect. During procedures they take the time to ask how you’re doing, and inquire if you need anything.
*Edit. The administrative assistants could use more training. I have had problems understanding their English. They have repeatedly contacted me in order to make appointments for scaling/cleaning only to cancel the day before stating that I had no more coverage. If I had canceled any of my appointments less than 24 hours previous I would have to pay. Not cool

Really grateful to the staff at Jackson Square Dental. From the Nurse Practitioners, Sleep Dentistry Schedulers and Dental Assistants the care was top-notch. I was able to take care of my dental urgent needs and was provided with quality care. Helpful, informative and supportive is the perfect way to describe the team.

The serve was good. Rana was very helpful and explained the treatment and my insurance to me in detail.

The receptionists at Jackson Square dentals were all amazing. I forgot to ask the name of the person that helped me with my insurance but she was super patient and helpful. Was in and out pretty quick. First visit in a few years, staff was friendly.

A quick visit with Dr. Akkad to see what work needed to be done.

Hygienist Vee did a great job on the cleaning. Very friendly and helped me pick out a great electric toothbrush with some suggestions after I inquired about improving quality of self care between visits.

The last time I was there they kept booking extra, unnecessary appointments. Then they charged me individually for each visit, making me pay way more out of pocket. They could've done everything in one appointment! I realized too late they were looking to charge extra any way they can. If you decide to go with them, please make sure you specify and document exactly what will take place during the appointment and see if they can give you an estimate of costs. That way they won't book extra appointments to charge you extra money. I felt their main priority was money rather than service, so just be careful.

Dr. Samir Akkad and the Manager of the Dental Clinic are very professional, knowledgeable, good ethic, very kind, take care of theirs patients really well; in other words, they are just excellent.

Dental care is very good but denture service is very bad. After 3 months from the first fitting, I thought it was ready, instead I was asked to fix another tooth and moved my appointment for another 2 more months. My experience is beyond ridiculous. It took 4 0r 5 months from the my first appointment and nothing was achieved. The worst I ever experienced yet. Definitely avoid denture service in this location.

Came here for emergency dental services and they honestly have some of the nicest and most professional staff I have ever encountered.

I'm a very anxious dental patient and even with the ET- like drapery for covid protocols, I felt calm and relaxed the whole time.

I plan on becoming a regular here - though not for emergencies

Checked in to the clinic twice & both of those experiences were terrible. Appointments were always 15-30 mins late and the staff, ohhh god was very rude. They book appointments for different time then what they write and give it to you on the card. Never clear the confusion, when we walk in and be as rude as possible. Rana at the front desk was very unwelcoming and did not have a sign of politeness. Two stars now because the second doctor was good, while previous doc and the staff very unreliable.

I went for xrays and a preliminary exam. They got me in on the day I called. My hygienist, Vee, was very friendly, and Dr Mak was also very communicative and professional. Would recommend!

The dentist and her assistant we're two of the nicest people I had met. They made me feel relaxed. They would stop what they were doing and ask me how I was doing. If I had questions, they would take the time to explain what was happening. The front desk staff are also very pleasant and professional.
The Covid-19 safety protocols that are in place are effective. I was anxious because I really didn't know what to expect but after my second visit, I felt quite safe.

Bad communication at front desk, the lady with Hijab she needs custom service trainings, she was extremely rude to me changing me more extra cost from nowhere. But inside service it’s was great. Now I had to change my dentist location. Cuz of her.

My experience here is always pleasant. They make visiting the dentist an enjoyable experience.not scary. I recommend them 100%.

Worst service ever. They do not care for patients time. I was appointed today at 2: 00 o’clock. The lady told me you have to wait until 3: 00 pm for cleaning work. So, I started waiting there and within 35 minutes, the lady informed me I have to wait for 4: 15 o’clock because another patients is coming in place of me so why did they give me 3: 00 o’clock time? Why should I wait for 4: 15 o’clock for no reason. I was very disappointed today and not recommending anybody based on my experience. The another question why they can not do cleaning work at 2: 00 o’clock as I was booked for same time?

Dr. Subhi & Akram are the DREAM TEAM! I am terrified of the dentist, I have been avoiding it but I have decided to put my health first regardless of my PTSD & fear. They made my appointment extremely comfortable, they were extremely thorough, they were pleasant, professional & extremely informative. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment with these two brilliant individuals. I’m also really excited to take care of my dental hygiene, thanks to these two & their office. Highly recommend!

Had a cleaning today. The office was very clean and they made me feel comfortable despite covid. My only concern was that the hygienist didn't polish my teeth after she was done scaling (removing tarter and build up). I don't know of it was because she's new or?

This has been my Dentist for some time now. I have been extremely happy with the service and for making me feel relax and comfortable. I am scared for Dental works.

All the staff, I have dealt with are extremely helpful and service oriented. A big shout out to Dr. Akad Mss. Alana and Hygienist Miss Vee. I would like to commend the job well done.

I am really happy with the result and any given day if I need to get any dental work done, I will go to them. Very professional and respectful service provided.
