After our favourite place on University street closed, we found Jade to be the closest in food preparation, flavour, service and menu. We will visit again.
Vegetable fried rice had hardly any veggies and the broccoli was from the stem. $15 for what amounted to 50 cents of food. Avoid this place if you can.
Recently attended Jade with my wife and Nana. I had the chicken soo guy dinner for one, nana had lemon chicken, and my wife had the sweet and sour chicken.
The wonton soup was absolutely fantastic as was the chow mein, and the soo guy gravy was nice and thick.
Great portions, great service, and everything tasted incredible.
I would highly recommend you check Jade out if you're in the area.
It was average at best. Alot of breading the food was bland. Very expensive tho for two dinners and soups it was just shy of 50$ -. -. The hot and sour soup was very delicious tho
Lovely Chinese restaurant. So so quick with orders. The food is done delicious. I love the presentation on the bird nest dish I took. Price is very reasonable and servings are so big
Very delicious food nice staff and fast food delivery. One of the best dim sum places, better than some places in Toronto! Would come here for a heart fulfilling brunch
Used to be ok place, but not now. Last week, found sharp object in the batter on deep fried octopus. They didn't care I nearly cut my mouth, charged me for the item which was only partially eaten, then they offered me a free item to take out. As if i'd eat anything else there again! No apology from staff. Never their fault. I'm not the only one who found sharp "things" in the food/batter so I've heard. I'm done. No more Jade!
Called ahead and asked for a veggie soup. All other places when a veggies soup is order it's for vegetarian, so they use a different broth. I drove home and when I opened mine it was with chicken broth. I called them to explain I couldn't eat the chicken broth and hey said they would change it. So I drove all the way back, and I explained to them that I needed a water base broth, they talked between them and gave me the exact same soup, in the exact same container, after 4 minutes waiting.
We went to Jade and it was delicious. I was blown away by the vegetable noodles and the green beans. The food was so tasty and the service was great. I look forward to trying the dim sum next time!
This place has the worst customer service My first time there and I told them it’s my first time. I ordered small dim sum by mistake and I didn’t know it was something I don’t eat. I told her Iam sorry I didn’t know. She said ok Iam ganna through it in the garbage but you have to pay for it. So I just left. For a dish cost not even 30 cents they last customer. What a jerks.
Been going here since they had the place downtown, they make the best and cleanest Chinese food you'll find anywhere in Windsor or surrounding area! Highly recommended, the staff if super friendly, the food is always fresh and piping hot, and the new restaurant on Tecumseh and Huron in the Plaza is an absolute Oasis inside. You will want to eat here everyday once you start! The General Tao's Chicken and their Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls are some of my favourites, but they also make great Dim Sum, Chow Mein, and Su Gai!
Used to buy the beef and broccoli all the time and it was great. Now the price has increased and the quality is terrible. We got the beef and broccoli today and the sauce is not as dark and is very watered down. The sauce barely even has a taste. Tried to bring it back and they said this has always been the sauce and that it’s just soy sauce. We used to get this dish atleast a few times a month and it was never made like this. We will not be returning, it is not worth the price especially for the food not having any taste.
They call it cuisine! The food is average at best. The egg rolls and spring rolls are always greasy, the won Tong soup is bland and the fried rice is not that good compared to other Chinese restaurants. Despite these issues I and others pointed out, they are not open to criticism. They tend to have a they are always right attitude and the customer is always wrong. The only positive is their portion sizes are decent. Stop referring to Chinese cuisine - your food is not that good!
We’ve been ordering food from this restaurant for years. We became very disgusted by the way a staff member decided to tell a mutual friend that we didn’t tip for TAKEOUT. I didn’t realize every time we came for food we would be talked about by others how we didn’t tip. This establishment should be ashamed of how unprofessional they are. We no longer and never will come back again. Teach your employees professionalism and you won’t lose customers. We have told everyone in our family who were fellow loyal customers about this.
The food was average (not really worth the price for the food. I'd say its overpriced) I also found a strand of hair in one of the dishes I've ordered (definitely not mine because it was short and darker hue)
Over cooked meat, inedible. It was as if I bought sauce covered chicken jerky. The rice was okay, however I didn't buy the meal for the rice. The egg rolls were over cooked to the point of looking burnt, also inedible. No sauces, plum, soy were included in my delivery. I wish I could give negative stars. Don't waste your money.
In response to owner: Where I live shouldn't matter, that is a ridiculous delivery fee also not impressed that you guys charge more for the exact same dish based on app users to order smh Why was my meal $15.99 on one app and #17.99 on another app? Scammers!
Ordered chicken Singapore noodles for takeout. Excessive salt and not stirred properly. Had to throw out. Had to pay 18.99 for this garbage. Unbelievable and won’t recommend to anyone.
I ordered food through the website to be delivered. An hour later, when it came time for the delivery, no one showed up. I called the restaurant, they said they misplaced my order, hung up on me when I tried asking for an ETA, and delivered 2 hours later. Never ordering from here again
Great meals to share, the morons complain about price (yes, you, 1 & 2-star reviews) but it's really good and filling, plenty of leftovers. Delicious, and great service. Sad to see these bad reviews; great place.
We have been going to Jade for years. There is NOBODY that makes better wonton soup in the city. The broth is delicious, not too salty and the perfect colour. The wonton noodles are homemade and so fresh. Their chop suey and fried rice are VERY tasty. We are NEVER disappointed. The only time we were devastated is when they were shut down from their old location. Thank God you opened on Huron Line. We love your restaurant. Thank you:)
Very very rude ignorant owner as far the food i cant say i didnt get that far.the owner was very rude and ignorant to my wife and kids as before we even got inside so they lost that business before they got it she is a scam artist
Sooo disappointed. I really wanted to support this local business since they had such a trying time during Covid. I placed an online order at 5: 15 pm. Very easy. Impressed. The email said my order would be delivered in 2 hours. OK I can accept that since it's Mother's Day. 2 1/2 hours later I called the restaurant and they don't know about my order. They called back and said it would be another 1/2 hour. I obviously cancelled. I am so hangry and disappointed. Just a weak "sorry about that" doesn't want me to ever go to this restaurant again. Happy Mother's Day - NOT
I decided to order food from Jade. It came to $80.00 and we only ordered 3 dishes and 5 spring rolls. The green beans were $14.00 way over priced. Its green beans! The food was ok but not worth the 80.00 I spent. Will not be going back.
What is the point of an online ordering system if it permits orders while the restaurant is closed? And why is it still sending order confirmation? I called because the order never showed only to find out the restaurant isn't even open.
Ordered 2 combo plates lastnight for pick up. Terrible chicken fried rice, was dry, hard, and seemed it was not fresh. I was honestly floored at how bad it was. The chicken balls had too much breading and were left to sit in the liquid from the chow mein, so the bottoms were all soggy. The egg rolls were ok, everything else was bland.
Ordered yesterday and they were over an hour to deliver not to mention 3 items were paid for and not included. When asked about it they said maybe we will bring it later or credit me. Neither happened. Never again.
Terrible customer service! Ordered food online, they brought it to the wrong address and when I called to try and track my order I got zero hel. Such a shame as they used to be wonderful to order from.
No chopsticks on the table for us to eat.until we asked for one like it was not set up. Also, water cup feels dirty and sticky. The probably water might be a bit dirty. A bit pricey compared to others.
I came here late on a Sunday evening in the winter time to warm up with a bowl of Chinese noodle soup and one of their dinner specials. The portions were very generous, the service very friendly and I found the place to be very spacious and clean. The food was delicious! I would come back here again!
It's an awesome place and great food. I went there today to meet with my students that I was picking up and tried some different foods that they eat. It was really good.
I always get dim sum and it’s wonderful! The sesame balls are perfectly crispy on the outside, the pork buns are soft and sweet, the shu mai are flavourful and satisfying, the taro cakes are great, har kow was perfect! Sticky rice in lotus leaves were surprisingly fresh and yummy. Their hot and sour soup is perfect when it’s cold outside. If they had egg tarts, they’d have it all!
Very long service over an hour just for apps and service was rude the waiter was rushing us through ordering. Also witness a waitress give food to one table and then come back and take it to another table!
Waited an hour before getting appetizers. Spring rolls had pork on them. Possibly leaving before we get our meal. Have waited almost an hour and a half since ordering. Meanwhile takeout orders are leaving left and right.
Came here for dim sum. Service was terrible and inattentive. We ordered 3 different dumplings and lotus wrapped sticky rice. 1 set of dumplings never came? The other two were terrible and tasted bland. We were never given chop sticks, and it’s weird eating dumplings with a fork? This was such a bad experience I’ll never come back here and I don’t recommend anyone come here for dim sum- it’s no wonder the restaurant was empty when we came in.
I ordered lobster, spicy pork chops, rice noodle with soy sauce and spicy squid and they were all great. I got the food delivered to my house so I made sure to ask for them to make the spicy squid extra crispy so the squid would not be soggy by the time it arrived to my house. We always order from here on the weekends.
Best Dim Sum in Windsor. Have had a hard time finding anything to beat it in Markham or Vancouver as well. Try new things people! Ordering Soo Gai and Chicken Balls must be boring. Authentic Hong Kong style menu that will blow your Canadian Chinese go-to's out of the water.
Was completely shocked by my experience here last week. Food was the main thing I did not enjoy here, not effort was put into it at all. Even my younger sibling who like pretty much anything didn’t like it. Overall wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here.
I use to be a regular customer until I ordered the Singapore noodle which i always ordered until this last time. When I started eating it i discovered a bunch of small pieces of wire that was scattered throughout dish! I wish this was not true as I loved going there but will never go back now sadly
Went there for mothers day. I enjoyed the food. Large portions for what we ordered. Even had lots of left overs to take home. Better to sit in n eat then order takeout for that reason. Go there earlier in the day because in the evening they always clean around you while your eatting.
I placed an order and said I'd pay cash. Called back and said I might need to cancel unless you take debit? I got hung up on. Worked out in my favor though. I ordered two items with them that totalled $34.3 items from the second place that came to $25. I win
