TERRIBLE SERVICE, the waitress was coughing everywhere, the fish was not fresh and made me sick! Do not go here

Silky smooth and delicious, this place is cozy as hell, reminding me of a legit hole in the wall sushi restaurant taken straight out of Japan with equal quality. We got the torched otoro and the deluxe sushi dinner, which was just perfect portion wise, and I thought visually appealing as well. As far as sushi restaurants go, this is way more than solid and would recommend to go check out.
You absolutely need a reservation or you have to be there at the right time, as this place only seats 20 people total (or so).

I've tried takeout from here a couple of times. The food is good but the prices are so high that I can't quite justify it for the quality.

My go to sushi spot for years! The freshness and quality of their sushi is unparalleled at this price point. Friendly staff, fantastic service, and even better food. This is where I go when I want to make an impression, and Japango has never once let me down.

This place will never deliver on time and they lie saying 10 mins more whereas it will take at least half an hour. Never expect the food on time

Ok, tried couple times and personal feel it has decent sushi and great salmon sashimi. The price is a little bit high but food worth it. Recommend Japango sushi if you have no idea where to start.

Went there yesterday night to pick up, food was so good, packaging is also really well done, the only thing is it’s a little pricey but worth it! Glad they are still open during COVID

I'm not sure why Japango is rated so highly. It's a bit better than your typical sushi joint.but the quality of their sushi is not that good compared to the price. There is better sushi elsewhere in the city (Zen, Miku, Skippa etc)

Ordered tonight. I used to love this place, but tonight’s food was not good at all. I am super disappointed after spending $117 on dinner and driving across town! It was a splurge that went wrong. Mushy over cooked rice, missing flavour, one of the roles wasn’t cut all the way through so it kept falling apart (and that was the Japango roll for $17). We threw more than 1/2 of the food away. Not a good feeling. While, I didn’t take a photo, my order did not resemble the beautiful food that I see below.

Even though I waited 1.5 hours outside the restaurant for my order because they ignored it for the first hour without telling me there was a problem. Even though a pigeon dropped one on my glasses as I anxiously peered through their window wondering what's going on with my order. Even though the staff made no attempt to apologize for ignoring the order. The food was the worth the wait. Best sushi in town in my opinion at a competitive price.

I wish I could have given this place a better review because their cuts were actually pretty good. But there is something questionable about how they handle the sushi. My boyfriend and I ordered the Sushi Dinner Deluxe and we were both surprised with ridiculous amounts of wasabi in only SOME pieces of the sushi. This seems to definitely be a quality consistency issue. When I brought up that the wasabi was too much to handle and asked if there was anything they could do about it she said "Sorry, there's nothing we can do. But you can pick it off yourself". So half of my dinner consisted of me sitting there picking out the wasabi, and for pieces like the picture attached, I basically lost half my rice. Unfortunate, because it could have been a delightful experience.

Simply the best sushi place in town that doesn't cost you an arm and 2 legs. I been going for years, no complaints. Just make sure you make reservations.

Excellent food! Only one thing with the small restaurant space, they don't provide comfortable seats and don't except to stay there long.

Very fresh sashimi (the most choices I have ever seen in Toronto!). Try blue fin tuna, it melts in your mouth. And oyster shots, both types are good!
