I used to come here when we lived nearby so we visited again after passing by on Sunday they have $6 drinks happy hour until 2-6pm. Omkar gave us excellent service. Def recommended the food and the ambiance.

We've spent a lot of time at JB's over the years and have enjoyed it but have been away for the last couple of years. We were hungry and in the area and said "Why don't we go to Jawny Bakers for Dinner? "
Initial service as relatively quick. Ordered two steak dinners both medium rare. One arrive as ordered (different server), medium rare. The other was well done and quite dried out. I've always enjoyed the food here but this really disappointed. The side veg for both dinners was cooked perfectly but was dead cold like it was sitting on cold plate while the steak was being overcooked. We finally saw our original server just as we were finishing. She asked if I would like another glass of wine. I would have ordered another glass of wine but by this point we were done.
We've had many family events here over the years in the private dining room and were weekly visitors for quite a while when working in the area.
I hope that this isn't the "New JB's"

First time here on a recommendation. Had the chicken tenders. Very fresh and delicious although we asked for 10 and got like 7 chicken tenders and like 3 tiny bits of chicken tenders. Salad was also good as was the bbq burger. Lighting is a little too dim to enjoy company. Washroom was TTC disgusting and our server never really came back until the end. Actually the hostess came by as she saw we were looking for our server. She was fantastic. Got us cleared up and desert. Will I come back? Possibly.

First visit to the restaurant as we are new to the east end. Fantastic service, food, and experience! Will be back 100%!

A bit of a hidden gem, this restaurant has great food and drinks for very reasonable prices! The employees are very friendly, we are so glad that we are able to go back and dine-in now!

UPDATE SEPT 2023: This restaurant has the best nachos in Toronto, hands down! Everything we come it is our go-to order, and they never disappoint! Every chip has cheese, lots of toppings, but the chips aren't soggy, and the side of chili is amazing!

On Dec 10 we celebrated my husband's 65th birthday with a party of 19 people in the O'Connor Room at Jawny Bakers Restaraunt. We expected to have a good time as we have dined here many times since we moved into the area 25 years. The party was a great success, the food great with no complaints. In particular the waiter assigned to our party, Christopher, was amazing! A true asset to the Jawny Baker team. Every one loved him and he interacted with all us with professionalism, grace and humour. Co-manager Olga was very helpful in helping us organize the event

Tasty sirloin steak at a decent price. All my companions were happy with their choices from a broad menu. Attentive service from the whole team.

A good safe choice. My tacos could've been a little heartier. Overall a good place to dine.

We held our 40th (+) annual Christmas get together last Friday in the private dining room at Jawny's. This is our second year celebrating in this room instead of our good host's house. We all agree that this is THE BEST venue for any group celebration! And we want to do it at Jawny's forevermore! The room is a fantastic size for our group of usually, 10-14 people (but can hold more). The food and wine is excellent and at a great price point. And our server, Christopher, felt like a friend shortly after our arrival. Olga, the owner made us all feel special and welcomed us back. We all highly recommend hosting your special occasion here. It means, no work at home, no cooking, no cleanup and lots of space to socialize, talk non-stop and laugh loudly without bothering other customers.

Had our engagement party with Jawny Baker, it was a fantastic experience! Staff were very friendly and ensured we had an evening to remember. We could customize our menus and bring our own dessert, highly recommend!

My daughter and son in law held our grandson’s Christening at Jawny’s and it was fabulous. We had approximately 35 family members for lunch. Olga helped my daughter organize the menu and appetizers. When we arrived everything was set up nicely and the food and service was absolutely wonderful. The family all raved about the Steak, Salmon and the Chicken parmigiana.
Excellent job from the staff, friendly and very attentive! Thanks Jawny’s for a memorable Christening and first Birthday celebration for baby Austin.

Passed by this restaurant numerous times over the years without having going there. Decided to give it a try and we weren't disappointed. Spacious style interior with big screen tv's throughout. The service was top notch as the staff were very polite and attentive. The calamari appetizer was one of the best we've ever had anywhere. I had the Halibut fish and chips. The fish was battered nicely, not a huge serving but was very dense and filling. The fries was the only thing that was not that great, wasn't crispy at all. Oreo cheesecake was also a hit. Definitely will be back to try other menu items.

November 1st, 2022 - Stopped by tonight for dinner. Service was great. Had the calamari again fantastic. The main was 8oz centre Sirloin with mash potatoes was good. Strawberry cheesecake for dessert.

Good local restaurant with a varied menu. Nicely updated decor. There is a patio out back, but it overlooks the parking lot.

We went into you restaurant in the evening around 6: 30. We were offered to sit near the bar which was ok. I noticed that you had Chili on the menu so I asked for Chili cheese fries (a custom order apparently) which are a favourite of mine.

My partner ordered a steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. My food came relatively quickly and the chili fries were good. Still no sandwich after 10 minutes. The waiter came back and said that it was his fault and that it the food is coming. I waited a few more minutes and went to another waitress and complained and the food came out. The sandwich and the fries came separately on separate plates which was strange.

I waited for his order to come so my fries were getting cold. Not a great experience for a total of $56.19.

This was my first time there and maybe my last.

The AC unit was not working correctly so the longer we were there the hotter it got. We were seated right away and the waiter, Andrew, was attentive at first. I ordered the Sierra salmon and it was delicious. My husband ordered the jambalaya and although tasty it was not authentic. We had to wait several minutes for drink refills and a dessert menu but they were not packed. The pecan cheesecake was delicious.

I’ve been coming here for years with my family and I have a great experience every time. The food is CRAZY good!

Yesterday, we visited this restaurant for the first time and we loved it! We ordered different type of food (butter chicken, ribs, pasta, steak) and every single dish was fresh and delicious. Even the coffee tasted super good. The restaurant is beautiful, well-designed and super neat. And the waitress (Anna) was amazing, the service was perfect and she was really nice with us.she offered 2 desserts for free because it was our fist time there. What else can you ask for? Really impressed with this restaurant. Definitely, we will visit them soon! THANKS!

It's sad to see what covid has done to this place. It's now average food at exorbitant prices. On the bright side there's no wait for a table.

The Service was great and food was delicioud. All the staff the staff are very friendly and eager to please. Our waitress Brook did a fantastic job.

Amazing food for very good prices. The nachos were great, pasta, ribs and steak all were excellent. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!

Staff are amazing. Owners are terrible. Worked here for about 5 weeks, they withheld my pay the whole time (one owner told me if I need money I can ask them for a loan) and terrorized their staff making them cry. Please if you go here tip your staff knowing the house (owners) take a huge cut (at least they did then in their hiering policy)
Maybe ask them if you can tip in cash. They definitely deserve it.

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I have to say the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the spot well kept all the time. Rates are affordable and they serve sizeable portions.

Absolutely incredible! Went above and beyond. First time customer and this will not be my last. Can not wait to actually go and experience this amazing restaurant in person. We ordered through skip the dishes, at 820 at night, they were expected to close at 9. It's my birthday and I am also pregnant, they took on this large order that was placed very last minute. They could have declined my order! All food was piping hot. The food was beyond incredible. I ordered a rib steak and it is hands down better then going to the Keg! Then to top it off they gave me a piece of cheesecake wishing me a happy birthday! So incredible. They made my day that much for special and I cannot thank them enough! 10000000% recommend this amazing restaurant.

This is our second time eating out at this place. Everything we ordered was delicious. From the vegetable flatbread, chicken vegetable Jambalaya, goat cheese chicken pasta, Caesar & onion rings. We were impressed with each item we ordered. Even the calamari was cooked perfectly and crispy. Highly recommended. It was so good that we almost ate all this for 2 people.

Excellent service. A little pricey if you don't get one of the specials but still quite good. Bruschetta and wings are awesome.

We had Jawny Bakers cater a baby shower for us in March. Working with Tommy and Olga was easy and efficient. We ordered Chicken Parmesan and pasta. Everything was packaged so nicely, easy to prepare, rehead and the food was delicious! We had many compliments on the meal.

This is a pretty nice local spot. The food is always so good. It may be pricey for many but once you get over that you will have a great meal in a nice trendy atmosphere. Lots of parking which is a bonus.

A local institution. Small patio at the back is great in the summer. The Jambalaya is always great. The house wines are good. Only complaint is that it is a bit dark even at the best of times.

Food was not so great. Service was really poor. We had to ask for extra ketchup 4 times. Every time they would come with a tbs portion. We had kids and adults eating burgers. There was no mustered, mayo which we had to request. Kids menu of $10 for a bowl of pasta and red sauce that our kid did not eat because it wasn't good.
Place was clean and not loud with music which was good.

Went out with the bf after work. He surprised me by picking me up. Stopped to eat and drink before heading home. Much needed! Sat in the bar area. Fire place is so cozy. Staff are always super friendly. Food and drinks are always great. Service is always on pointe. Nachos, hot wings, beer, mojitos, Oreo cheesecake, and B52. There until closing and never felt rushed. Longtime favourite in the neighborhood.
And now they have a private meeting room and downstairs party room for whatever your event! Love it here

Love Jawny's! Always come with my friends on Monday or Tuesday to get the ribs & wings because they are so delicious. Friendly staff and a great open atmosphere to eat with family and friends or watch sports.

Jawny Baker's has been a neighbourhood favourite for years. I don't usually have issues with it. The atmosphere is very welcoming in all of the rooms I've been in. The menu items are great and reasonably priced. My only words of warning are that if you are going for Chicken wings, you're better off going somewhere else, and that the wait staff only really makes mistakes with orders when you are in a large group. I never have any issues with the place otherwise. Service is very friendly, and they recognize you after repeat visits. (which in my experience has resulted in even better service) I highly recommend this spot.

For the 5th year in a row we hosted our Company Employee Holiday Lunch at Jawny Bakers and everything was fantastic again this year! We changed things up this year and used the event space down stairs as we had around 50-60ppl attend and it was perfect. The food is always great and the staff are always so friendly and go above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need. Looking forward to having many more of our Company and Family events at Jawnys!

I have been going to Jawny Bakers since I was kid with my family. While thinking of where to have my baby shower; why not have it at such a great restaurant?

I just had my baby shower at Jawny Bakers and it was by far the perfect event space! We had the front of the restaurant sectioned off for us which was beautiful because of the all the windows in the front with all the natural light coming in! Olga worked with us with creating the perfect menu for all the guests who attended the shower. The food was delicious like always. I would highly recommend Jawny Bakers to have your event as there are multiple options for space to accommodate your party.

Four of us went for dinner recently on a Saturday night. Each of our entrees was delicious and nicely presented. Dinner was a great value and the service was efficient and friendly without being obtrusive. We have visited this place a number of times in the past year. I would recommend it highly whether you want a nice dinner for 2 or to celebrate a occasion as a family.

Ample free parking! Attentive service. Good food and good prices. Will return.

We rented a private room with 15 guests today. The server, Crystal, was professional and efficient. Everyone had nothing but praise for the food and staff. Thank you Olga for a great celebration in your establishment. I will be back in May for another event.

Very quiet on a Monday. Staff were very pleasant and solititious. My steak was cooked perfectly, but as I have an unusually large appetite, I also had a lobster roll. Very good, considering we are not near the ocean.

My daughter enjoyed her penne. JB's does not load it with sauce when suits my girl. I wish a Bolognese option existed, but perhaps they would have accommodated her. Her ice cream was also excellent.

They are great with kids, though one doesn't need to have a family to enjoy the place. They also have a backyard patio.

We swing by this place in mid afternoon and was hungry. We had to wait for quite some time before a server noticed us while it was NOT busy at all.

The food was alright. The drinks were half sized for full price. Service was pretty good until another waitress decided to give us attitude and rudeness. We asked to speak with the manager and got the typical 'I am so sorry' response. They gave us a gift voucher but we did not want it. We see ourselves neither returning to this restaurant nor recommending it to any friends or family.

In past my wife had lunch or diner there, I went there for cold Beer, food was always good and like I said cold Beer.

I go every Sunday with friends. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are large (often taking 1/2 for next day's lunch). The staff are friendly and great at their job. Lots of free parking, too!
