The best experience I've had with a venue. Anil was so extremely helpful, gracious and accommodating to all our needs. 100% I would recommend using JC Banquet Hall for any event. The staff were so kind and easy to work with.
Definitely will use this venue again.

This is such a beautiful banquet. They have plenty of underground parking, clean and organized.
The hall is good size the biggest problem is felt that they don't refill food soon, people waiting in que to grab food. There were fewer servers as well. A bit of mismanagement.

I was here over the weekend for a party, and it is a large and beautiful venue. It was set up professionally, with clean and expensive looking tablecloths, chandeliers, silverware, white fabric flowers, and lit candles in tall water filled vases. I want to add I really liked the large tank of healthy looking koi fish in the lobby. Where I think there could be some improvement is the coat check. There weren't enough hangers, and it took staff more than ten minutes to resolve the problem. I also wished there were more vegetarian meal options. I was only able to have a pasta dish and a vegetarian noodle dish.
I'll end by saying the bar tender was very generous with their pours of alcohol, rum, and vodka in mixed drinks. But this isn't a positive if the venue wants to sell multiple drinks responsibly.

The venue has a spacious ballroom with elegant decor and ambiance, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the celebratory nature of our gala, weddings and birthdays that Ive held. Multitudes of delicious foods to choose from, great variety of drinks, but nothing beats the unbeatable customer service provided by the staff.

Once again, we held our Annual Gala & Awards event at JC's Banquet Hall last week, and as always, Anil (the Manager) did not disappoint! The entire mezzanine floor was decorated right to the smalllest detail that we requested. The staff were all professional and very accomodating to our needs. Food was always decadent and delicous. We would definitely hold our future events here.

Our golf league was looking for a venue to host our annual awards and gala night, so we tried JC's Banquet Hall for the first time and we were not disappointed. Everything was delivered to our expectation and the entire staff (from the management, event coordinator, servers, bar tender, technical crew, etc,) were very professional. Food was excellent and the free, secured parking was and added bonus. I would highly recommend this place.

It was my first time going there. Very nice and very clean. They're servers are polite and they are helpful. The hall is not too big - nice for a intimate event/party.

My husband and I celebrated our Wedding Reception at JC’s Banquet. From our first conversation, Anil was extremely accommodating to our needs and expectations. His communication is inexplicable. No matter the time or day, he would always be there to answer to any questions or queries we had.

Anil gave his all to attend to and fulfil all our wishes pertaining to our event. It was no doubt the event was a huge success. We organized several meetings with Anil and for every one of them, Anil took down notes for everything we wished to have. He was extremely professional but also provided honest opinions and recommendations that didn’t even cross our minds.

Couple days before our event, Anil stayed back for one last meeting and took consideration of our busy schedules. On the day of the event, Anil sent us pictures and videos of the set up and made adjustments to anything we did not approve of or wanted rearranged. He stayed back till the end of the event and kept a close look. His team humbly helped with us anything and everything during the event.

My husband and I are beyond grateful for having hosted our Wedding event at JC’s. We are extremely thankful to Anil and his team for everything they offered and for going above and beyond to make our day even more special. We truly recommend them and their services.

I recently had the pleasure of planning a wedding at JC Banquet hall with the help of Anil. The wedding was better than we could have imagined. Anil was very friendly, helpful and reasonable with pricing and requests and accommodated all of our needs. There was a lot of effort put into making sure that what we envisioned was executed perfectly. Delicious Jamaican food with large portions cooked by their chef, beautiful decor done exactly as we envisioned by their decorator, beautiful event space and ambiance. I recently had my 18th birthday at JC’s and overall the experience was really good. The manager, Anil was very helpful and accommodating helping us plan the party and thanks to him and other help, the party went very smoothly and everyone was very satisfied including me. We catered food from the hall and everyone enjoyed it and thought it was very good. I really liked how we were able to have a food tasting before the party so we knew what food we liked and what food we’d want everyone to enjoy and the food options are very inclusive and yummy. Overall, a very good experience and i’d love to go back for future events!

Held an event here on June 25th 2022. We had about 4 meetings with the managers and owner about the event. Had a written time line addressing when the services needs to begin, how the food will be served etc. When we showed up to the hall, the servers will still setting up (10am). Our event begins at 10: 30. We discussed what time we would like apps being served and drinks. As the host, I had to chase around the floor manager to ask her to begin serving apps and drinks. We had guest sitting for an hour with no apps or drinks. We did not get actual lunch with the hall which was by far the best decision we made. The apps was emphasized it would be passed around for an hour, half our guest did not get any apps nor did they pass it around for an hour. Nothing on the contract was followed from services to apps to lunch. The manager was upset we did not get food with them, and continuously told us you are paying for the "service". What service? I've yet to attend an event and be told we had to serve ourselves the drinks. Garbage service! You clearly do not get what you paid for.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at JCs in June 2022. The manager, Sandra was extremely professional and helped us plan everything from decor to food in great detail. Sandra was flexible in accommodating last minute requests and ensured the execution was on point. The food was delicious and our 400+ guests were happy. The staff did a splendid job in making our night a memorable one. We loved the experience at JCs and would highly recommend for your event.

Sandra and Anil are great to work with. We had a vision for our school Prom and they made it a reality. They gave us everything we wanted for a great rate. The food was fantastic and the DJ had us dancing all night. Sandra customized every detail for us making our midsummer nights theme prom exactly as our students wanted. She was available all night to help with catering to every service, and even internet issues. I highly recommend them for any party that you will be having. Their facility is beautiful and clean as well. I know we will be booking our next events here in the future.

Had an event on June 25th. This place had the worst service EVER. Apps were not served on time and only given out for a few minutes. Lunch was delayed by 1hr. Drinks weren't even served until we asked them to. It was self serve which wasn't under the contract. They told us that they would have servers. This place was a shitshow! Owners did not care after taking the payment. Stay away!

Had my sisters 15th birthday here. It's a great place. Staff is very friendly and the place is just perfect. It looks and feels very fancy. Food is great as well. The way they set everything up is very organized and effective. The owner, Anil, is very understanding and flexible when it comes to scheduling an event as well. Sincerely one of the best places we've ever rented for parties.

We had a wonderful experience with J. C Banquet hall. Managment is very help and supportive. Mr. Anil khurrana helps us alot in organizing and providing every possible thing that we need and help us organizing a very special birthday event. He is very kind, supportive and humble person. Even though it was a last minute booking but he helped us in every possible way. The event went smoothly and staff was very helpful. Highly recommended. We had our Christmas & anniversary party recently with the Help of ANIL. He explained in details & helped our club (Toronto Achievers Lions Club to make our event a fabulous one that fits our budget. He was so nice, good looking too & offered many freebees i.e matching colour curtains, table cover & napkins we have chisen, make the venue more classy and the food was sumptuous that our guests wowed it! The staffs served passed our allowed time with a smile. Anil had after sale service as well! We definitely book with him again?

My husband and I chose Jc’s Banquet Hall as the venue for our wedding reception. Located on Ellesmere (near Mccowan rd In Scarborough), the hall is clean and nicely maintained. They have a large dance floor, nice chairs that don’t require covering, a stage, beautiful chandeliers which can change colours to match your wedding decor and tables that can comfortably seat your guests without being too crowded. The bathrooms are clean and have a good amount of stalls and were well stocked with supplies.
There is a bar set up at the back of the hall for your guests to enjoy beverages during your event or if you wish. And there is no need to worry about your guests getting a parking ticket because underground parking is available.
When we booked our first appointment to see the banquet hall, we were fortunate to meet a wonderful man named Anil. From day one, he was very professional and never made us feel rushed. Anil gave us a thorough tour of the facility, and explained our options in terms of set-up as we went along. He was very detailed in explaining the contents of our contract and letting us know upfront what the costs would be.
Over the past 5 months that we have been planning our wedding, communication between us and Anil was great. He always called us back if he missed our call, and sent emails confirming any changes we had made. I never had to worry that work wasn’t being done or that he couldn’t be reached. He always addressed my concerns in a timely manner.
During our wedding, he catered to us hand and foot, he made sure the bride (me) and my family were comfortable and ok, provided us drinks while we waited for the hall to complete setup. If anything was not set up correctly, he was quick to reassure me that it would be fixed (and it was). I never had to worry. We were fortunate that Anil was in charge and couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for all the work he has done.
The food at my reception was good. We chose a Caribbean/ West Indian menu and there was enough food for everyone, and it was hot.because no one likes to eat cold food at a wedding. (It was a bit on the spicy side, so fair warning if you don’t like hot pepper, please address that at the food tasting. But I enjoyed my meal). Sending a big THANK YOU to everyone who worked on December 11 to make our wedding reception a success (set up crew and servers, the nice lady who decorated the hall, the chefs and cooks, the bartender, the lighting person, and especially Anil).
If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing!

We held our Appreciation Award Ceremony here at JC's Banquet & Convention Centre. It was a memorable evening. Coordinating and communicating with Mr. Anil and his team was very pleasant and they were very attentive. Food was tasty and organized well for all the guests. Recommend this place.

I would give this place less than one star if possible. I have never been so disrespected and treated in such a rude manner. We met with who I assume is the venue manager to inquire about a wedding. He wore no mask, he ignored my questions and when he finally did mention the parameters of the space he said "if that isn't okay then there is no point" insinuating that if we were against having the ceremony and reception in the same room, we should leave now since we were wasting his time. He told us we would have to bring our own alcohol and started breaking down pricing. All still with no mask on, in a small board room. I would recommend you take your business to any other banquet hall in Scarborough.

This past weekend, the Burgenlaender Club Toronto held its Annual General Meeting at JC's Banquet Hall.
The hall was prepared beautifully, the table décor reflected the national colours of Austria, and the food was delicious. The staff was courteous, COVID protocol was in place, and we all had a wonderful time.
We highly recommend JC's Banquet Hall.

Every idea I offered to Sandra, she made sure to complete it effortlessly. The food was great along with the decor! It was everything I pictured my 30th birthday to be! We recently held an Onam function at this venue. The staff were extremely helpful, courteous and displayed a 'can do' attitude at all times. We were especially impressed with the hard work and dedication that Sandra displayed and the smile she wore with a willingness to help and keep the place ready for us before we arrived. The manager Anil Khurana was also there at every step of the way, ever-willing and trying to work out various permutation/combinations to satisfy COVID protocol. The dedication and customer service of the entire team was displayed when even the owner Jude came in to help with arrangements. I must say - we were all thoroughly impressed and definitely recommend this place for future functions.

My son's wedding was held at JC's Banquet hall in Sep, 2021 and we all loved the place and the wonderful service rendered specially by the kitchen and serving staff. There are problems.
1) 'ongoing' late night events cause stress for the residents, young and old, who live above,
2) security here can be a problem,
3) no real responsibility solving problems

We came expecting to sit on the small patio but it was raining. The staff was able to seat us indoors, in a private room, to accommodate indoor dining requirements during covid. The service was excellent and they were able to work around our dietary restrictions, putting together special orders for our party. We regularly order catering from here and it is always fresh and well-made.

Celebrated my 75th birthday party here. The combined Halls A & B were spacious, the food was great (but not heated properly prior to serving) and the staff were attentive and accommodating. The underground parking was a bonus. Thank you Yogeeta for being responsive to my concerns. I highly recommend this venue for special events and celebrations.

We chose Jc's to cater for my daughter's first birthday party and it was one of the best decisions we had made! The food was delivered on time even though we had a hortible snow storm and they even setup the food for us. All the guests raved about the food, it was so good quantity and quality wise! The team at JCs provided us with excellent service for my Aunt's 80th birthday party. The food was so good! We had the curry goat at their suggestion and when it ran out because it was so delicious they had their chefs make us some extra barbecue chicken, which was totally unexpected and very much appreciated. Especially since it was provided to us at no extra charge!

We had a great New year's eve at the Mississauga location. The staff was very efficient, polite and accommodated all our requirements. I will highly recommend this venue for any function.

We held my Mum's 80th birthday celebration (July 20,2019) at JC Banquet Hall and it was a great experience. I recently celebrated my 18th birthday here and the services and food were impeccable and commendable. The staff, Dario, Mel and other coworkers (unfortunately we forgot their names, apologies) were so polite and very accommodating. If it weren't for them my birthday party wouldn't be successful. Unfortunately, just like other parties, there are some mishaps that have caused troubles and disappointment both to my family and to my guests. The emcee, Neil, was so unprofessional. He made us believe that he already knew what he was doing, well in fact, he does not even know the flow of the program even if we THOROUGHLY discussed the program beforehand, and we even provide him the program script in a very systematic and orderly manner. He agreed to the dynamics of the program before the party but then he executed the party in every wrong way possible. He didn't even allot ample amount of time to listen to my requests and suggestions. I am not asking for the moon and the stars, but his service is disappointing.

This was the first surprise party I've done and wanted everything to be perfect. It was just that thanks to all the friendly and professional staff at JC's. My mind was at ease all was left for me to do is party with my guests. The food was amazing, everything was served on time, and the room was perfect size decorated so nicely. All the guests kept asking where's the Chef they wanted to compliment him. For days after invited guest had such good things to say about the party at JC's, I'm sure it will be a party to remember! Thank you Yogeeta for your expertise. I'll be delighted to refer JC's any time.

When we did our food tasting months before the wedding, we were blown away at how A-M-A-Z-I-N-G every food they presented us. We were so excited for our guests to taste the food! Their catering is super affordable as well! When we had our first meeting with Yogeeta, we told her our budget and she worked around it (still getting all the kinds of dishes we wanted!). The backdrop at the stage was not how I even expected it to be. Since I had no idea in mind on how I wanted it to be designed, the team designed it so classy, elegant, and did I say magical yet? We highly recommend JC's Banquet Hall as it is very affordable and we're definitely having future events with them!
