Absolutely worst school in all of Peel. If you want you want to succeed or want your kids to succeed, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. They take in teachers that BREAK students apart. Their disregard for students mental health and general well-being is unbelievable. With the exception of only a few teachers, the teachers here are evil who don’t teach, and have the audacity to be harsh markers. I would rank this schools number one in hiring passive aggressive teachers that RUIN students mental health. Again, THIS ISN’T A GOOD SCHOOL DO NOT COME HERE.

Finally finished, I graduated highschool after 6 years. Special thanks to Mr. Robinson, he's very cool. Mrs. Armstrong is the best teacher in the world! What a experience, even the 06's became my friend!

Worst math teach is ms nyguen which doesn't know how to grade students during these anxious times. JUST HORRIBLE!

It's an ok school. Teachers could use a little more work and not make everything observation based. If you don't do your homework, the teacher will call you parents or email them for even the smallest of reasons. There are some really great teachers but theres nothing that makes this school really stand out from the rest.

It's boring here. The energy is whack. It could maybe change in a decade or so, but right now, it's boring compared to other schools. They don't even play music.

Math department really need to fix their marking styles. Units are thrown into the trash and now there’s a new thing called “cycles”. Need better teachers.

This school is full of bums, teachers act like they your friends. I DONT NEED TEACHERS AS FRIENDS. BUM SCHOOL. The minium stars I could give is 1, but if there was an option for 0 stars, it would be 0 stars.

this school is better than other school they have different technology facilities and lots of stuff student should understand and learn the teacher in this school is good and too cooperative with students.even this school lets students to study without any pressure I will suggest this school to every students

The level 4 system is a poorly way to mark students who are trying to achieve high ninety marks. The percentage system allows students to achieve the mark that they deserve. The level 4 range has a 20% skill gap from 80%-100%. How can three sub-levels within the level 4 range determine your grade? A level 4- is 83%, a level 4 is 91%, and level 4+ is 98%. With this method, how can a student achieve a mark of 95%? All I am saying is that the school should ditch this method and focus on giving the hardworking students the grades that they deserve so that they can get into good post-secondary institutions such as Waterloo's computer science program which requires a 95% average. Do not send your kids here if you want them to have a good career in the future.

Very bad school the rating should be 0 actually even below that in neagtives -10000000000000. This school is not even a school its like sending your kids to the library where they just homeschool and just go to the library for a quite place. It is very bad they are just experimenting the new style/system on all students thast goooooo here. Please do not go to this school. It is very bad. I have 4 kids they all have averages above 80-90% they went to this school and started getting 40-50%. Do yourself a favour and dont go or send your kids here. Go to any other school except this!

School sucks, teachers suck, students suck. The school in general sucks. We are literally stepping stones for them. LITERALLY. I was attending my science classes and quite a few times the teachers brought in other teachers from Peel to come watch our "classroom environment". The teacher was bragging to them about how they barely have to teach and they return marked assignments after weeks. She also said class averages are in high 50s-early 60s. If your a lazy teacher and want easy bank, then come here. This school is literally money for sitting on a chair for you guys. If your a student and don't mind being a punching bag for the staff and the new system, and you simply don't care about your feature, jean will welcome you with open arms as their new b****.

I wish I could rate this school a -10 and take away stars like how it took away my desire to succeed in life. There are so many problems with this school, however the staff and teachers like to pretend they don't exist and shove SAIL and SELF LEARNING down our throats, instead. Starting off with the education, students don't learn as well as they would in other schools. Everyone's dumb and forgot how to do crucial things such as writing tests. Staff and teachers THINK this way of learning is the best for us, even though we keep saying it's not working. Nobody is getting into university with these (less than) mediocre mark - EVEN THOUGH many of us have worked our asses off throughout the year.

The mental health and environment of this school is a whole other story. It seems like everyone in this prison is depressed and is one success criteria away from having a mental breakdown.

DON'T ACT LIKE YOU CARE ABOUT US WHEN YOU DON'T. DON'T PREACH EQUALITY AND LEADERSHIP WHEN HAVE SET US UP TO FAIL.

This school has a very good reputation yet does not meet its standards. There innovative way of teaching is not feasible at all. Staff and students often have clashes as the staff fails to help the students, education wise as well as helping the students in keeping a healthy mindset. Forces students to change their way of learning after very long pervious learning years. The school's way of teaching is applicable for an elementary or a middle school but not a high school as grade 9-12 are key years. The school tries new teaching methodologies without considering the students way of learning. Students are treated as lab rats, getting experimented on. Teachers are new hence they are adjusting to the new teaching style of the school as well. The grades the students get are not all "fair" because there is no certain 'rubric' it all depends on the teacher and his/her preference. Teachers often pick favourites; making it more unfair. PDSB needs to visit Jean Augustine Secondary School and have a word with the students as well as the staff. Highly do NOT recommend attending JASS.

It's not a school: its a youth correctional facility! Or at least it feels like one. You don't learn anything here. You got a math teacher that teaches like she got her degree from Dollarama. You have a vice principal who's literally out to get you for the smallest things you do, a guidance counselor who tells u everything u do is wrong and an environment you just wanna jump out the window in. Some teachers r nice and i feel bad they have to teach in such a weird and experimental way and having to lower student grades cause of the retard who made this new education system. This school has technology but there's no innovation here. More like demotivation. If u care about ur childs future and university admission, for the love of god don't send them here. Your gonna regret it. They don't even know what they're doing with us. They're trying new trash that hurts everyone's head. Instead of marking and earning your mark they give you utter and useless "feedback". Another word for your work sucks, 55 on your midterm. I hope they change their mediocre style soon, otherwise this will be a youths hell open from 8: 15-2: 25

Anyone saying this school deserves 5 stars are kids being pressured by the school staff to put an excellent review. Jean Augustine is the LAST school in Brampton you would want to attend. Yeah, there are no exams here, but that is honestly a horrible idea. You have to go to University, and graduating will consist of multiple exams! If you are getting 80s-90s in your current school, expect to earn 60s-70s in Jean Augustine, as their learning style is NOT structured, and it's a madhouse where they don't know what they're doing. The teachers even admitted to students like myself that "we're experiments". Wow. Your future is at steak if this school isn't like the other schools in Peel.

In my experience, this school has an overall very depressing vibe and I don't feel prepared for post-secondary. If you still have a will to live, don't come here.

Great school with great programs, students often complain schools teach them nothing of value but this school really does teach you how life will be like in the real world (21st century skills)

The school is good but maybe in the science course we should have the teachers teaching the course instead of doing independent research. I say this because most of the the information students research might be inaccurate. Inquiry based learning does not help me learn the same way the traditional system does. I don´t think in the future this might change but I really hope it does. Some teachers are also doing inquiry based learning in math, which I do not agree with because students learn better in math when the teacher gives lessons and questions. I really hope that these improvements can be made in the future. Everything else apart from this is fine.

I strongly dislike this school because of the learning environment itself. Students are required to learn everything by themselves, which makes learning very difficult. Not only that, the teachers are mark very unfairly which makes getting a 90 average very very very very very very very difficult. I feel as though some of the teachers are not helpful at all.
