Jeff's No Frills

First time here as recently moved to Essex. Clean, organized, well stocked, great prices, and cashier was very pleasant.

The staff is always friendly and the shelves are always being restocked, what more can you ask?

Always excellent customer service. On Dec 27 at 8pm I asked two young men working at the back to bring down a product that was too high up. The two of them came very quickly and with the help of a ladder helped bring down the product and placed it in my cart. At the check out lane I always go to Joan. She is so wonderful and always the bearer of good tidings. It's a great pleasure to shop at Josh's No frills.

Since the new owner came in this place has been amazing! The employees have always been kind (and I go there frequently) and helpful.
The people on stock know where everything is and the people at till provide a great customer experience, they're very happy and open to conversation.

Great place to shop. Great employees, nice open and clean store. Busy as all heck but the cashiers did a beyond awesome job handling the massive Saturday lines.

I love the deals and the staff are awesome and great deal when the have it but all around it's a great store

I always have a pleasant trip when shopping at the Essex No Frills. Their produce is fresh, the prices are great and everyone is courteous and kind. This is my go to spot now!

Great prices for the more expensive things on the grocery list! Good range in different pieces of chicken and apples are always better than most other competing stores.

Well it's a grocery store what can I say. I do love shopping at no frills prices are usually fair and i believe they still price match, however I don't think they price match with wal mart you'd have to double check.

Not one for leaving remarks although my trip to frills wasn't fun at all starting with looking for a coin to get a shopping cart and the minute I walked in I was so cold, the temperature was so cold in the store it cut my shopping time in half. One worker in the frozen dept had no idea if they carried keto pizza! Staff should know their products.

This place is getting worse all the time. Now they got buy 2 or 3 or more to get certain price which is really just average price anyway. I buy certain flyer sales otherwise prices are terrible especially since you bag items yourself!

Total disarray.product shortages are understandable but shelves should be "faced up" with what is there.

Management seems as though it's made up of high-school co-op students. No level of professionalism or customer service whatsoever.

Clean, always good prices on most things. Meat is reasonable but you can hit a really good sale. Today I used the flipp app and was going to price match but it turns out everything I was buying was cheaper there already.

It's a grocery store, discount grocery. What can I say? They had the products I needed, staff was friendly and helpful, and it didn't require a bank loan to buy our stuff. All good.

I was in and out withing at 5 minutes. Easy to locate everything and the checkout was very nice and cashier was very helpful

Cheaper than most grocery stores in Essex County. Cleaner than Essex Foodland with decent selection. I will likely return.

This tore is a REAL grocery store, they don't sell clothes, electronics, cell phones, wine or a pharmacy. When I go there I don't have to walk down long numerous aisles just to buy groceries.

Poor management. Terrible customer service. Cashier directed us to a till told us to start unloading and she would be back. Proceeded to direct multiple other customers to other tills, then forgot us and started cashing out another customer. As we waited patiently were confronted by what seemed to be a supervisor who decided we were liars who had not been directed to this till and thought it was her job to discipline us. Cashier who directed us to that till lied about directing us there. Employees made a scene. As customers, just trying to get groceries, there was no benefit to us walking up and unloading at an unmanned till without being directed to do so. Implying we did this without being directed and accusing us of so loudly in front of other customers was inappropriate and terrible customer service. Will not be spending my money at this location again. People are going through enough with covid, without having a scene made around them following directions at the grocery store.

This grocery store is well organized, well stocked and very clean. Special attention is taken for sanitation. I prefer baskets that don’t require a loonie as I usually don’t have one but if you ask the security guard he will gladly unlock a basket for you if you haven’t a loonie. The prices here are usually 50 cents to a dollar less expensive than other stores for each item.

It's a store I enjoy going to but today was different. Even though the store has clear marking on the ground for customers and Employees to follow for social Distancing one of their employees said to me when i confronted him about going in the wrong direction he said " its okay I work here" I couldn't believe what he said to me. I had him identified by a cashier and she confirmed he worked there. I field a complaint with the district office. Very disappointing that a employee would talk like that when confronted about social Distancing rules and his direction of flow. He needs to be spoken to by the ownership.

Still a great place to shop, almost everything was in stock and clean. It was not busy at all when I went. Workers were all pleasant and professional.

This was the worst experience so far at the Essex No Frills. Meat coolers are ancient and rusting. Line up today, on a Sat morning, only 4 tills open. Spent over 40 minutes in line waiting to be checked out. NEVER going back.

The most friendly staff! I had such a positive experience, they were all happy, had no problem starting conversation, it was a nice change.

More it was the customers that caused all the problems for me, many were extremely polite and respectful, following the rules of social distancing. But oh my lord the people that dont, that causes the place to be a madhouse

The Staff are incredible. If you can't find an item, they will often take you right to where it is. Courteous, friendly. Their super specials often disappear off the shelves when the sale week starts. So get there early if you want those items.

Service is excellent. I am curious though. The Health Department says NOT to bring your own bags or containers. That stores will supply bags. Yet I payed for my bags today.

Three weeks later. Got groceries today. And had to pay for bags again. Why?

I was amazed at how much staff there was and cash register at the store when I walked in. Lots of people stocking the shelves throughout the whole store. Pricing was very clear on most items I was looking at, with the new digital price items. Even at the register, I was short a couple dollars for my Points, the girl recommended an item, to get it over and help get the points.

I always have issues with management when it comes to prices and price matching. I worked at a store for over 5 years and I know exactly how price matching works. Example, wouldn't match unsalted butter because that's not what the showed in the flyer (flyer stated only the brand of butter, not specifically salted or unsalted). Also made me feel like I was trying to cheat them out of money when I price matched diapers for $8 off a box. The exact words were "that cant be right, sounds like too much" WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE FLYER. Yes I got the deal. Other issues with expired/expiring food. Its sad because it's the closest store to me at over 10min away, but I've decided to stop elsewhere and haven't had these issues:)

Friendly employees and good prices, but too much stuff in the aisle. At busy time in store it was difficult pushing your cart without running into someone

This store in Essex has some of the best sale prices in the area. Produce is always nice and fresh. Great staff as well.

The organization is pretty straight forward here, you can find most things with ease, the staff is friendly but it seems like no matter how many cashier's are working there's always a few minute line on checkout, other than that, Jeff's no frills is one of the best grocery stores I've seen anywhere locally

A store that carries a large selection of the most common fruits and vegetables. A good store for your every day groceries. Prices are comparable to other stores. It's all groceries and cleaning products. No housewares or clothing as in other chain grocery stores. It's name says it all.no frills.

This is a smaller no frills. We like coming g here because the staff is always friendly! The last time we were shopping here they had a baseball team bagging thr groceries! We really loved that!

Clean store. There were 4 stockers in the pop aisle that seemed more interested in goofing off instead of working. It brings down the quality and the way the customer's perception of management
