I would not recommend going to this place. The guy running the shop is very dishonest and unfair. He charged me more than double what the hardware was worth. I made a big mistake trusting him, and I will never give him another cent of business.

I was the type of person that as soon as the laptop is broken, I'll get rid of it and buy a new one but I just gave them a chance to fix my laptop and it was just perfect. You get better prices and also better customer service than BestBuy for example. Thanks for the good work!

I brought my desktop into this shop to diagnose a problem and then to fix that problem. The gentleman working there determined that it was a "logic board" problem and it needed to be replaced. I told him to go ahead and do this. He then told me that the operating system had to be reinstalled as well and he was willing to give me that free of charge.

All of this took place in a reasonable amount of time and for a reasonable amount of money.

It was done with quality and extra effort which I am willing to give three stars for.

The reason why I didn't give all five stars is because I felt that the conversations I had with this person over the phone were rushed and things were either not explained or skipped over very quickly. Replacing a mother board shouldn't require reinstalling the operating system. When I brought it home I opened it up and checked the parts. My 525gb SSD was replaced with one that offered only half the storage.

When I first came into the shop, I suggested it could be the SSD and I was worried about that. He said it wasn't likely, but the total cost and reinstalling the operating system told me that it ended up being the primary issue.

When I called after realizing that it was only half the storage, he said that he told me and I agreed with this. Perhaps some miscommunication occurred and I am partly to blame, but I wouldn't agree to such a low storage replacement as I use this desk top specifically for gaming and 250gb of storage is pretty pathetic these days. I would have paid for the better hardware.

As it stands, I'll just be purchasing and installing a higher capacity SSD or perhaps add an HDD instead on my own.

Overall, I do recommend this shop if it's in a convenient location to you. Just be prepared to be rushed and fast-talked. You will want to either have a decent amount of computer literacy yourself, or bring someone who does. Otherwise what you want and what you get may be different because something was lost in translation.

Edit: The store owner has gone out of their way to contact me after this review. I have a great deal of respect for him that he not only read the review but cared enough to get a hold of me.

We talked about what happened and what we could do and I am satisfied enough that I am employing his services again and will likely do so again in the future if needed.

For the owner, thank you for your honesty, effort, and honesty. I have changed my rating from 3 stars to 5.

Check those papers asking $50 for diagnostic, I must be there, my address and phone number. I tried to talk to you when I brought my computer to fix it after your scam but you did not want to. Now you can call me if you are real.

JH Computers usually replies on bad reviews but not on mine. He has nothing to say. Instead, few very positive, but vague, 5 stars reviews are appearing after poor reviews, most likely fake. Even at the time of pandemic, when the store is probably closed. Be very cautious when dealing with JH Computers or better don’t deal at all.

You deserve more than 5 star. I didnt need to come in to fix my ps4. I want to thank you for being honest with me on the phone. I did what you suggested and was able to fix my PS4. One guy wanted to charge me 185 with out diagnosing the problem. I am highly recomending this bussiness.

This store will rip you off. Absolutely unprofessional. No warranty, inadequate services are offered here. You will lose your money and computer if you take your computer or gadgets here. Stay away from this place. Fixed computers at this store will break down in couple months and you will have to pay more if you want it fixed again. Absolutely scam business. Stay away and save your money and nerves.

I previously posted a review and would like to update you all on the progress thus far.
After some back and forth between myself and Augustino, I believe we have come to an understanding of the the issue I was experiencing. I thank him and the staff at JH Computers for all the patience and trouble shooting that was done to resolve my tv box problem.

Very good service and prices. If the product has further issues, they will take care of it. They also do console repairs (very handy!).

I bought a android TV box from him and after a few months the device stopped working and he did not give me a refund

Absolute Scam and thief. Owner told me my laptop had a motherboard problem he fixed for $50.
After, the laptop still wouldn't turn and he told me it was another $50 to make the bios work. Once I got home I found out he had stolen my 8 gb ram and put in 4! Never trust this store.

Horrible customer service. The problem is with the customer not his lousy equipment. Don't get anything from here. Waste of time and overpriced.
