Their toys & products are thoughtfully chosen, they offer great workshops & special events, and they even organize an amazing clothing swap multiple times per year. They have a great selection of second-hand clothing/ gear that's available year-round as well.

Previous to Jill & The Beanstalk, I had never had a good experience selling my kids' old clothes via consignment. After a big closet clear out I decided to take a chance on it and I'm so glad I did! I now keep a "for Jill" box next to my washing machine and make regular visits to drop off clothes to her. It's such a good feeling to contribute to the circular economy and a great local community resource.

Great customer service! Went into the store for the first time today to purchase a used life jacket that they posted on social media. Purchased some additional items as well. The salesperson didn't have an answer to one of my questions but was eager to help and researched it to ensure I had the item that was right for my baby. Thank you and will be back.

Great shop for all your kiddo needs. Their clothing exchange is the best.
Ensure you bring a cash donation or a bag of clothes to exchange as it's been getting very busy over the years.

Was in town from the US and looking for a couple of gifts to bring back from Toronto for my son. Superb service and such cool stuff! Owner was super friendly and will certainly make an effort to stop in anytime in the future that I'm back in the city!

Package was delivered very quickly and Jill was very quick helpful and quick to respond via email. Love my gifts for the new moms in my life!

Great little store. Tons of cool baby stuff, but also some neat things for older kids. Excellent diverse options. Dolls with skin that isn't just white, books about Black kids, and books with generally diverse characters. Also, the service was helpful and friendly.

I love how unique so many of the products are in this store. I live in York Region and I find myself coming down to the city just to see what they have. The people are amazing and super helpful. I just wish it was closer!

Didn't have a great experience - bought a $20 shampoo/body wash that didn't work for my baby, and the owners wouldn't give me any credit towards purchasing a new item, understanding that they would lose me as a customer because of this. I won't return to this store.

I first discovered Jill and the Beanstalk during my maternity leave 3 years ago. Its a wonderful space in the neighbourhood with a spacious play space, beautifully picked products and equally awesome owners. Since being back at work my visits aren't as frequent but its always a great place to check out consignment pieces or to pick up a birthday gift.

I decided to pick up a few puzzles/learning resources this weekend for my kids and my package was delivered only a few hours later. The JIll's are definitely helping with social distancing by delivering fun goodies to help pass the time. THANK YOU!

As a recent member of the new mum club I am delighted to have found this gem in my neighborhood. I've attended workshops, found some lovely clothes/gifts, and my daughter and I are now regular attendees at the free song circle which runs at different times throughout the week so can always find something to fit around naps. Hats off to the Jills for creating a lovely little community in a big city!

I feel so lucky to have Jill & the Beanstalk as part of my community! It’s amazing to have a local, independent space to purchase well-curated children’s products picked by kind, caring owners. PLUS, they have free song circles throughout the week! These were a lifeline for me in my babe’s early days. I’ve also attended several excellent workshops there, from potty training to sleep training. Both Jills are amazing humans and I love supporting this local business!

I looooove Jill and the Beanstalk! We've lived around the corner from it for years but only recently have we become regulars/customers there. Our baby is now 4 months old and I find myself there at least once a week for a variety of activities (song circles and the quarterly free (!) clothing swaps are favourites) or workshops (hand-print ornaments, infant CPR etc) and I can't imagine doing life with baby without this amazing community hub. I used to immediately go to Amazon when I needed something for baby but now I first think of Jill and the Beanstalk because I want to support a local business doing good things - which feels rare in this day and age!

Love this store! I live in the neighbourhood and have been coming here since my daughter was 4 months she’s now 15 months. It’s a great welcoming space. The Jills are amazing and put on such a fun song circle. My daughter is in love. They also have so many fun and unique toys and products at competitive prices. This store is what being part of a community is all about.
