Joe The Mover

I definitely recommend Joe The Mover for your residential move. We had used them years earlier and decided to call them again after a few other quotes came in at $5,000-$6,000 for our size of home (and that was not including many of our boxes!) They were way less expensive! We booked 2 trucks each with a crew of 3. All 6 guys were strong, efficient, helpful, and friendly. It really took a lot of the stress of moving off our plates that day!

I’ve used Joe the Mover for three of my moves now and every time their services have been efficient, careful and professional. The team that moved us most recently was Michelangelo, Dennis and Hadi, and they were all personable, professional and amazing, and made a fairly stressful move much easier.

Kudos to Michael, Angelo, Denis, and Joe for their exceptional moving service! Despite the challenge of a very busy street with parking issues, they tackled every obstacle with great problem-solving skills. They handled our belongings with care, completed the job promptly, and provided excellent service. Highly recommended for a stress-free moving experience.

I had experienced 3 bad movers before I found Joe the Mover, and I believe it is important to share that there are good, honest, ethical movers in Toronto. JTM has fair prices (even after factoring in a tip), is upfront about estimating your costs, and there are no shocks or surprises. The employees are careful without wasting time. They are pleasant and efficient. ALSO, this company provides a limited number of storage lockers at affordable rates.

Another seamless (well, they made it look easy but it was NOT an easy one!) move by this team. They troubleshoot and are fast and careful AND very personable and professional. Highly recommend!

I was extremely stressed out about moving. I hired Joe The Mover and they did amazing job. Movers where friendly and took good care of my belongings, and pricing was great, that was a bonus!

I used Joe The Mover last weekend to help move some large items to a small condo. They were punctual (early actually!), and very efficient. They made what could have been a stressful experience into a very pleasant moving day. I didn't have too many items, so they actually quoted me at 2 movers instead of 3, which was more appropriate and was a cost savings on my hourly rate for a smaller job. I would definitely recommend them, and will use them again in future!

Very friendly staff, setting up the move was a breeze. Jimmy and Alex moved everything carefully and quickly and delivered the furniture to their location Without a scratch. Would recommend joe the mover to anyone looking for a quick easy move for a great price.

I had a terrific experience with these movers recently. Alex, Jimmy and Barry were at my house right on time! They did a fabulous job wrapping and dismantling several pieces.
Then to my condo in Newcastle ON - again delivered all in tack and reassembled everything. And provided service above and beyond! I had not moved in 22 years so it was a b big deal. Plus the price was excellent for the service provided. Highly recommend.

Joe the mover worked for me. My experience with them was good. They were on time they worked steady, safely and nothing got damaged. Unlike stories I've heard from friends the price I was quoted was the price I paid. I'd recommend them to family and friends.

We hired Joe the mover to move some office furniture. The 3 men that came were very professional, polite and definitely knew what they were doing. They completed the job in almost half the time we thought it would take. The price was great as well.

Great moving company. The office was quick to reply to my inquires. The movers were friendly and professional. They took the time to make sure all the furniture was properly protected. The rate is amazing. I paid $145 fixed price to book which covers gas and transportation. Then the rate was $90/hour for three movers.
I would highly recommend them.

Everyone stay away from NK Movers! They are a complete scam. I originally booked them & my friend had an awful traumatic experience. I canceled, lost my deposit & booked Joe the Movers at the last minute.

They did show up 30 minutes late, but that is Toronto traffic at its finest.

The service really depends on who you get. Two out of the three times I've hired movers from Joe the Mover, it was good or average. The third time was ridiculous and terrible.

I had an excellent moving job this morning. Very professional and super fast. Rafael and Tony did a great job.

This week Joe sent three great guys to move from one to another location within Mississauga. On time - fast - professional - friendly - what more can you ask for? My recommendation for your move.

I used Joe to movers to move my things into a storage container (in their storage location on Bertal Road). My things remains in the storage locker there for 3 years. The move went smoothly although I felt like they overcharged me but I just let it go because I was flying to Africa the following day and had other things to worry about. Finally, after 3 years and over $5500 in monthly storage fees, I decided to move my things out of the storage unit and into my sister’s basement. I didn’t use Joe the Movers again because I had been overcharged the first time. I used another moving company. When the boxes arrived at my sister’s house, they were wet and slimy and full of mold. My belongings inside were also wet and smelled like mold and had mold on them. Designer bags like Coach, Michael Kors, and clothings brands like Guess, Marciano, and many others, were all ruined. Multiple boxes of clothing as well along with the feet on some wood furniture. It was horrible. I spent so much money to keep my things safe in a dry storage container protected from the outside weather, and clearly a lot of water had come into my storage unit. The new movers said there was bird droppings and other small animal droppings all over the storage locker. It was disgusting. So many of my belongings were ruined. I called Joe the Movers right away and he said they would give me $0.50 per lb of damaged items. IS THAT A JOKE? !? ! Some of the silk tops that were damaged are worth more than $150 and weigh nothing. Even the leather bags weigh only a few pounds so that would mean only a couple measly dollars for something worth more than $400! I was so upset. I asked if I could send the photos because I was in Kingston (a 2.5 hour drive from the storage location in Toronto), he said no. He said he would call me back after the weekend and never did. I called a few more times and left messages and he never returned my calls. I decided to cut my losses and move on. It was such a horrible experience, I would NEVER recommend Joe the Mover to anyone. They will ruin your belongings and not take responsibility. I am sorry for anyone who chooses them. Their prices might be good but if you shop around you can find the same price and MUCH better service. Plus, the price they give you is not the only they end with.

It was my first move and I didn't know which moving company to hire. Online reviews weren't very helpful, since every single company had some bad reviews. But I had to choose one, and Joe The Mover had a team that was available on my date of move, and their rate was better than several other companies, so I decided to go with them. On the day of the move the movers arrived half an hour earlier than scheduled, did all the work in 3 hours and were great to deal with. Overall, it was a very good experience and would hire them again!
