Joe's No Frills

Been shopping here for over 20 years. As Joe's no frills it was O. K at best. Since new ownership it is TERRIBLE. Never stocked, prices have shot waaaay up for a "no frills" store. Very dirty. Didn't have any ontario strawberries or cherries. The one produce stocker is soooo rude and the other that is usually pretty nice argued with me about cherries not being in season til fall and wouldn't believe me that they are early July. The cashiers are all very nice but I think I am looking g for a new grocery store. I think all the recent good reviews MUST be hired people and fakes. There isn't anything good about this place anymore. Would give a zero star if possible. Shop somewhere else!

I love this quaint No Frills. Its like shopping in Europe. Staff are always pleasant & quick.

Over priced produce. Under staffed. No bags at the self check out now, you have to ask a staff member standing at the kiosk. Not allowed carts through the self check out. All these “cut backs” must help Joes salary pay for that new Porsche Cayenne SUV.

I have never seen such an organized bread section in my life. My ocd was extremely happy! Staff very friendly too!

Ok haven't been there since covid started. Don't know why it was thought I was there 3 weeks ago. At first No Frills was to crowded and not well organized for covid. Maybe better now. Still nervous to go there. Hopefully soon!

It's a no frills.smaller than some and nobody that shops here can read the sign that indicates which direction the aisle goes in.

Not why I gave it a 3.it gets a 3 because I'm not a fan of their produce and that they don't give pc points for all purchases.

Compared to the newer stores thid store has narrow aisles feels cramed and old. Love shopping at no frills on Oralia.

Joe, good selection of grocery. But, I would like to say tonight's shopping experience was very poor involving a staff member. Will tell you about it when I see you. BTW, to date no one from NoFrills (Joe) has taken the time to respond to any reviews.

The other day I went in for the first time in along time just to grab tacos for my kids. As soon as I walked in a seen the price for iceberg lettuce (3.99) I was disappointed. No frills used to be affordable but now I rarely go there, and now probably might not at all. How can anyone charge 4 dollars for iceberg lettuce?

Terrible staff, no help, no one knows where any thing is. You can't take your cart to the self check out now. Not stocked properly at 10 am on a Saturday, shelves are basically empty, I will never shop there again

1. You now have to pay to use carts here once more.
2. There is a physical barrier in front of the self-checkout area.
3. There is not a lot of space between the checkouts and the PC Express pickup area in the store.

If you are going to require a deposit for a shopping cart you should have a change machine handy so that a customer doesn't have to wait in ridiculously long lines to get change to buy groceries at your store. I won't be coming back unless this is rectified.

Joe is an awesome guy with an attention to detail, and runs a clean store with friendly staff! I've been getting the bulk of my groceries there every week since I moved back to town in 2014, and always have a great experience! Great selection, and lots of in-store savings!

I love the lay out of the store, they have someone at the front of the store counting how many are coming in and out. Carts are free and sanitized. They also have direct signals on the floor telling you which ways to go.

I am not impressed with this store, there is no one counting the number of people in the store during covid, the cashier did not clean between customers, and the plant based cream cheese that they had out had all expired in May and the 1st of June.we are now the 19th of June - someone needs to check these products.

I go shopping here all the time. The only downside is when there's a huge line up for cash, so lately I've been using the self checkout since it's faster.

The click and collect program is great! The gang who do the shopping for you do their best to get you the freshest produce and if you choose not to have a substitute, they respect that, and if you don’t mind substitutes they do their best to get something very similar.

Overall always finding what i need. Stocking is alittle vague sometimes but overall good place.

The prices are very reasonable. And you can collect points. The employees and very friendly. Today I bought a pork pic Nick for only $7.80 About 7 to 8 lb and I'm making pull pork enuff to feed 6 to 8 people.

Friendly, I know some ppl who work there but, mask wise I fukn hate. Honestly I don't think no one should be wearing masks it's not healthy for ur lungs cuz ur lungs can't get oxygen from masks. We can shop without masks.

I found the store was a bit disorganized in terms of directional arrows, and it made it challenging to get around and still be social distanced. However, the selection at the store was great, and the staff here are good.

Have been to this No Frills often but less since COVID. Self serve terminals are too close to each other even though every other one is blocked, the space between the 2 rows is not conducive to taking a cart through and or keeping a safe distance.
Saw a customer in the store without a mask, not cool especially indoors.
Seemed like too many people in the store when I was there.
You must take a shopping cart. I know they are trying to keep a safe distance but it doesn't help I find.

A giant thank you to all the staff here for making shopping during COVID a friendly experience. Love the greetings at the door by the cart wipers especially and the friendly cashier that always seems to be there on Tuesday mornings. In fact, all the staff is very helpful. Many thanks, all of you!

I like this store. They strictly follow Covid safety precautions. Safe place to purchase.

Was not impressed

First time there this morning, and for produce only. I was very impressed with the extensive assortment of ultra fresh vegetables and fruit at very competitive prices!

The loose mackintosh apples they had on sale were very low quality last week.not picked through properly from staff

Overall a good store with fast people working on cash. Can never beat No Frills prices.

Occasionally you can get some bad produce and definitely an interesting selection of folks there every now and then. But overall a good experience.

The store as usual was busy but our cashier was very pleasant and they had my favourite Chapman's frozen yogurt. Crispy Peanut Butter Crunch.

Love Joe's! A whole bunch of employeesthat will go the extra mile for you every time I've gone there doesn't matter what section they work in! Love it

I’ve been here quite a few times as it’s close to my home, every time I am here it seems pretty messy and unorganized, not to mention the amount of items out of stock or rotting with mould and fruit flies. The lady who helped me on cash the most recent visit didn’t seem to know what she was doing. She seemed a little confused when it came to redeeming my points. I had $30 worth of points (34,000 to be exact) and my total came to $29.41. She told me I could only redeem points in increments of 20,000 or higher which I’ve never heard of at any of pc optimum location? Every other location does it in increments of 10,000 ($10). It’s a bit annoying when the only reason I ever shop there is when I’m broke and need to use my points to pay. Starting to wonder if it’s even worth it.

Busy No Frills. The prices are spot on for a no frills location and that's worth the crazy amount of people who are here. Probably shouldn't have gone immediately after work. However, the layout is much better than the local Foodland. The aisles are wide and shelves are well stocked with a variety of affordable goods. There's no gimmicks selling grocery here, you get exactly what's not advertised no frills shopping. Those that need fancy branding with their grocery are welcome to the overprices that come with it.

I like Joe's No Frills because of the staff. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the number of sold out items from the flyer week after week. Sunday is the only day I can grocery shop.

Caught someone poking thier finger through the plastic of the meats then smelling thier finger. As I looked several meat packaging had holes in them. Guessing from people's poking thier fingers through. Usually an alright place to shop. Busy.

Everything is so easy to find And fresh.do you have a hard time finding anything don’t worry just ask the fiendly staff always help.

Clean environment fully stocked store good to go. Make sure you bring your $0.25 piece so you could use shopping cart.

I was charged full price for Easter candy that had been marked down 50%. I hate when that happens.

Very affordable prices, PC points is an added bonus. I like the multicultural variety in fruits and vegetables as well as unique items from different countries. Only negative thing, cashiers don't bag and sometimes lines get long while customers rush to bag while cashier keeps pushing other customer's things.

I live in the area so I go often. I'm left puzzled by lack of certain items all the time. Some shelves are completely stocked while a shelf right next to it is completely empty. Its always the item that's missing is the one I need. RC water is a good example. Chang say how many times over the years I've gone in for water only to find none. Also check your dates on sale items

Clean store. Serice is good.polite cashier helped bag, making it easier to deal with my crying twins

Not crowded and found a lot of things I needed without looking forever. Will definitely come back. 25 cents for a shopping cart rental, don't forget your quarter

And made a comment outloud to the cashier about her poor attitude

The cashier we had very rude.witch made the shopping experience poor. You can shop there if you won't. But I not going back

Bought grated cheese more than 2 months past bb [It was still ok} watch their bb labels closely since they dont.also bought baked goods many days after bb expiry date.ex: Old Mill Cracked Wheat bbJune 04 on June 06 Fresh Fruit and Veg, much better than Fresco, meat only so so, Fleishman Yeast a full year out of date.they really need to check their shelves more
