Great atmosphere for dinner, service was a little slow from our particular waiter but that was ok due to the nice atmosphere. One young lady caught the eye from our table who seem to be doing all the hard work. Kady was her name, extremely friendly, polite and ambitious. Was deserving of a mention and pat on the back

For some reason with the whole restaurant empty you have to wait to be seated. And for some unknown reason the girls at the reception will tell you to wait, disappear for 15 mins then come back! We were asked to wait, did that. Then she comes back, we start moving, she says wait and disappears again! Then another staff member passes us, we ask her if we can go pick a table, she says "no wait for the girl to come back "!
Finally when they came back to seat us we decided we are not going to eat there

Very likely one of the best Pasta i had the privilege to have. Everything was on point. Decor, ambiance, cleanliness, food, service. A pleasant discover for us. Warmly recommend.

Horrible service! We waited for at least 10 min until a server comes.

I asked for an upsize and the server confirmed that was a right order when it came.

I further question her if she is sure and why is it the same size of the spring roll. She then said I will check with the kitchen. Clearly to me that she checked her tablet, she can see it was a mistake. She then said I will talk to the kitchen. I was like, seriously you can't tell a 7oz vs 11 oz and the cut is different? !

She came back and said yes, it was her mistake (with no apologies) and she took the plate away. She said that is their protocol that u r only paying for one so you are not having two. I asked why as it is going to the garbage. She emphasized on restaurant protocol even though that was her mistake.

10 min later again, a manager came and asked if I want the steak that they took away back. I was like seriously, u brought back the steak that it was going to compose back to me and offered if I want it back.

I am sure I will not come back ever. Horrible experience.

Great place for after work drinks but wine drinkers beware. Joey charges more for wine by the glass than most restaurants. My 8oz glass (not even 9oz which is the norm) for a standard Pinot Grigio cost me $21.75.

Great food and great location. We really enjoyed yourself. Allergy alert: if you have a seafood allergy please be aware that anything deepfried is fried in the same oil as their fish/seafood. This includes their nacho chips. Please ensure to mention your allergy and ask questions. The wait staff and chefs are very accommodating. Thanks for a great supper.

The customer service was great & I loved that we came at a time when they were offering complimentary sparkling wine. My friend loved the Mediterranean salad but my butterchicken tasted like tomato sauce, the meal did not have an authentic butterchicken flavor. I had to drown the dish in hotsauce to escape the tomato flavor. This easily could've been a 5 star review but, although I enjoyed so much about this place like the warm well seasoned Naan bread, complimentary hot sauce & wine, my meal the purpose of the visit was still lacking. I however will return sometime soon hopefully for a five star meal, because the atmosphere customer service & sides were top notch.

Order was ready way before 30 minutes eta for order pick up.
Food seems good but didn’t eat yet because I’m big on reviews. No receipt was given when charged. Picked up a big order and Had to ask for the receipt. No napkins or cutlery was provided. I guess I could have asked for that, so, my bad.
Ordered two house salads (not cheap) and didn’t get any dressings for either.
Ordered impossible burger +veggie burger+ 2 house salads+ 2 corn guacamole+ fried cauliflower and truffle fries. (Got the dip for that order, so thanks)

Très bonne ambiance, super accueil, nourriture excellente, le personnel est au petit soin. Le meilleur burger que j’ai mangé avant même celui de New York, c’est pour dire…. Je recommande à 100%

The restaurant was very good as well as the food. The best part was our server Rebecca, she was amazing and lovely to talk to.

The food and ambiance are very good. Rather modernly furnished, a bit dark but that's not too bad, as it gets a little lighter inside in the evening. The service is just a let down. After a long wait, the drinks came. The food came relatively quickly after that. The only problem was that there was no cutlery. Had to wait 15 minutes for something to come. As a result, the food was cold. Complete cutlery didn't come after that (3/4 got something). After that, the waiter also tended to avoid us. Too bad.

A really good restraunt, with really good food and amazing vibes. It remain open till late night so a really good option in downtown Ottawa. Must visit if you are in Ottawa downtown.

Wow absolutely amazing experience. Great atmosphere, great staff, and great food and drinks. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it. Did the steak and sushi and the steak was cooked beautifully and just melted in your mouth, and the sushi was super fresh and tasted great too. They have a really nice cocktail menu as well and a pretty good beer selection. Would definitely recommend for a nice dinner out in Ottawa.

An "over the top" experience from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out. This business believes in improving the lives of their associates, and the customers feel it. Rebecca was taking care of us for the night and she was unbelievable. She is clearly exceptional at her job and a clear asset for this business. We will tell friends, family, and colleagues about how we were treated today. Congratulations, Rebecca and Joeys.you get it!

Our serve Rebecca was AMAZING! She was so personable and so savvy of all menu options and choices. She accommodated order adjustments and was so prompt with service. She made our experience more than enjoyable! We will definitely be returning to Joey Rideau, and hopefully be seeing Rebecca again as our server! Five stars for the service

Menu is sooo limited. Very disappointing. How come the menu is different from British Columbia? No ribs no regular salt and pepper wings. Smh

Joey Rideau is my favourite restaurant in Ottawa. I’ve been countless times. Rebecca’s service tonight was the best I’ve had!

Bought a friend to joeys wanted her to experience the food and drinks as always they never disappoint with the food and the appetizer it was delicious surf and turf and she had steak and frite and TIto our serve so. Interesting and made sure we were well serve and that we had everything we needed he wasnt only doing his job but he made sure that we felt like we were at home love it joeys is a little jewel

Ray was a great server - friendly, prompt, and lovely. Drinks were perfect, food was great, service was excellent.

Eat here like 1-2 times a month, last night was the worst meal ever. Don’t know if everyone was in a mood but service was slow, our table ordered at 11, servers tablet dies as soon as she gets there so she walks away for a while (short, long black hair). Ordered our food and waited 40-50 for Lydia (white shirt, brunette) to come and say that they ran out of the noodles for pasta, and they would cover the replacement dishes for my two friends (it’s a table of 6). Finally got my Ravioli Bianco which was cold & drenched in sauce, and the replacement sides at 12: 20. Ordered a dessert last minute right before the bill. Meal was bad, asked for water 4 times didn’t get water till we got the bill at 12: 56, went to pay for the bills and they did not take off the dishes Lydia said would be covered. Don’t know if Lydia is just dumb or something making statements without consulting others first but they sent a whole different server (tattoos, black hair) to our table to say it was a misunderstanding on our side she said our “dessert” would be covered. We told her she never said that, so she brought Lydia to the table and Lydia went out of her way to try and gaslight the table into believing she never said that. We were dumbfounded and my friend said forget it can I just pay for the rest of the meal. They went changed the bill, still didn’t cover the replacements and went ahead and billed me a separate receipt for the dessert which was not on my first receipt. All in all horrible service Landsdowne always gives 10/10 service, Rideau can’t relate.

I didn't get a chance to eat here but I wish I did. The woman in the front of the restaurant allowed me to use the washroom it was late at night and nothing was open. I am not from Ottawa; i was just visiting the city and everything closes earlier. My 4 hour bus ride home to Toronto doesnt come until midnight and I had no where to use the bathroom and i desperately needed to go. Incredible customer service and I will definitely dine here when I come back to Ottawa.

Special mention for Olivia. She was courteous, polite and patient, knew the menu items and their ingredients, answered all questions. She even remembered to ask if the chicken was spicy, because I had asked before ordering about the harissa seasoning.

Great decor, ambience, and music not too loud.

The food was amazing both nights that I ate here. A service that had to be coaxed along and a little loud for my taste were the only downsides. It was very accessible for a few in our party that needed accommodation.

I am recognized by stuff at the door and at the bar. Given great service. Waiters and waitresses drop by just too say hi. Feels relaxed and accepting. Great food too. And lots of it. The desserts are huge. And at the right temp. Highlyy recommend. Thanks to Aaron et al.
