Joey's Seafood Restaurants - Cornwall

I had fish and chips the dish was horrible only thing I was able to eat was a few fries coffee well let's say I put 4 milke in it and it barley change colour and way over priced recomend going somewhere else for fish and chips
Sorry for such a negative review but very disappointed

Had breakfast at Joey’s Cornwall and it was very good. A lot of food at a very reasonable price.

I recently moved to Cornwall and still trying to familiarize myself with the restaurant scene here although, not much to choose from. Ordered fish and chips and calamari, thinking, was the safest thing on the menu. Couldn’t be more wrong!
Fish was very hard and the batter, so soggy. Calamari tasted like something bought from a supermarket freezer and fried. Very salty and not fresh. I had always wanted to try the Joey’s at the Rideau Mall but never got the opportunity hence, trying this one. First and last time. Awful food!

The owners have gone cheap now and cutting corners the fish used to be big long pieces of fish now they have gone cheap and bought small Triangle pieces of fish something you get at the frozen department at grocery store not even worth it no more if I where you just up the road is captain George fish and chips huge pieces of fish and well batter and flacky. I highly recommended them not Joey's.

Not a bad all you can eat fish place that's the best way to go Tuesday nights The atmosphere is nice Service was good The food Was OK It has been better in the past Hopefully they pick up their Game I will give them another try there's only so many fish and chip places in town

I went there in hope to get some snapper, but they didn't have it.
I ordered halibut instead and they didn't have it either. There were a few items on the menu unavailable.
So I settle for haddock; 2 pieces.
The portion were huge and it really qas tasty.
The server was very nice.

Went on all you can eat fish taco night. Wasnt very busy. Get your moneys worth as long as you can eat a lot. Fish was ok but nothing speacial. If you want a good fish taco meal thats going to fill you up, this is the place to go. Waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Strange new location, couldn't tell it was a Joey's. Another party came in a few minutes after us and loudly asked the same question out loud. Food was good and tasty! Wish the place was a bit cleaner though. Don't look at the windows unless you very much enjoy the sight of hundreds of spiders.

Absolutely awesome service, food was delicious and plenty of parking. New location is great highly recommend going.

Got takeout for family get together, all fish was soggy and rubbery, missing a fry and a coleslaw from the order, appetizer of clams didn't taste like clams and were also soggy.
Scratching this place off my restaurant list.

Old dreary atmosphere.
Can't judge the food, my fish and fries seemed less palpable bothered by flies? Lol!
Place needs a complete makeover and an owner who cares.

Fish and Chips were good. Ordered extra crispy fries and they were. Ordered for pickup and it was ready right on time.

Amazing price and amazing taste. Aside from the calamari every food item I had was a delight (and I had a lot).

Love this place. Everything about them is positive. My experience has been superb all my years of coming here.

Went Thursday night (28th) for take-out. I was the only take-out customer in restaurant at the time I was there, approx 430. Bad service and slow but worse, the guy in the back had no clue what was happening. They forgot my soup totally after waitress told him it was for the go-order. I checked that before I left, thankfully. I ate the soup but did not end up eating the rest that night as I became ill (not from the food). Brought it home with me (out of town). Just opened it to have for lunch and my order is totally wrong. How does "4 fish tacos" turn into a two piece fish and chips? What can be so confusing to get that wrong? I won't waste my time to go back there except to get my money back, which I completely expect. I will be back in Cornwall right after Easter and will be in for my refund.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt but this was way beyond reasonable.

Side note: they need to have more than one waitress and one cook for an entire restaurant at DINNER time. This likely would not have happened if they were properly staffed ie Management Issue?

My father and I went to have a nice meal out together. The service was good, the staff are friendly. The food on the other hand not so much. The fish was not fully cooked the first time we got it, it was still raw in the center and second time was still not that great it ended up just being very soggy and greasy so that was disappointing. The coleslaw was a little funky too, however bonus points for the shrimp though they where nice.

Food good. Good value. Unfortunately this restaurant has a heating problem. It was either too hot or two cold. The waitress was very apologetic and said that it was a common issue when it's very cold outside.

I love this place.food and service absolutely amazing! Cant be at all u can eat fish and ships or tacos.

Perfectly prepared fish lightly breaded and well seasoned fries and coleslaw. Incredibly friendly service and pleasant and warm atmosphere.
