Called this company in the morning in regards to an emergency (the shower faucet was broken and i could not shut off the water in the shower, while i was taking a shower) indicated the emergency to the dispatcher on the phone. Had a confirmation email sent out to confirm the approximate time frame of 11-2pm, which confirmed the address as well. I was told the plumber would call when they were on the way to the residence. Waited until 215 and no call and no show from the plumber. I called the company to find out the plumber said he spoke to someone at the house who "said" they were expecting a plumber the next day. Yet no one called me, or even showed up at my actual residence. Crazy because the company has so many good reviews. Yet Mr. Rooter came out to assess and fix the issues within 30 minutes of my initial call. The supervisor said he was going to follow up and see where the plumber was at. After waiting 4 hours for no service i went with another provider. Hope no one else experiences this.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Michael! He was courteous, calm and honest and did a fast and professional job of repairing two toilets that kept running and wasting water. He not only replaced the fill valve on our powder room toilet and also replaced the failed gasket inside the bsmt.toilet water tank but also detected leaking water from an attached failed cartridge on the toilet shut off valve (we didn’t know this had he not pointed it out) as well as the main shut off valve. He gave us pointers on what to do wrt the main shut off.

He was completely fine to use the new fill valve we had purchased for our bsmt toilet (thinking that was the problem) and instead used it for our powder room toilet saving us $$$. He was honest and didn’t charge us for a whole new part since the one we purchased would work just as well for the other toilet. He could’ve told us we needed a different fill valve (what do we know, we’re not plumbers!) but I really appreciate that he was upfront and informative taking the time to explain things and answering my many questions.

Extra for arriving within the time frame they said he’d arrive, for putting on shoe covers and for cleaning up after completing the work. It’s hard to find reliable, skilled and honest plumbers like Michael—-call him already!? ‍

Mike was an absolute gem to deal with. Came in, solved the issue, done within 30 minutes.

Mike did a fantastic job installing my Pot filler rough-in. He was professional, friendly and efficient. Mike also answered some questions I had which educated me on plumbing matters. On my tight budget, I also found it affordable

The plumber showed up on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable and ready to work. Our basement had flooded badly, we had over 4 inches of water throughout the whole basement. Within 15 minutes the plumber had assessed the situation and had the water draining. He asked before starting any work and quickly got the job done. We would call this company and plumber again.

Checked faucet to determine why we had poor water pressure and reinstalled/repaired a toilet that was wobbly. Assessed the problem quickly and provided options for addressing them. Friendly, prompt and professional. Expensive for work actually provided.

Installed a shower, resulted in having a hammering noise throughout the unit (this is in a condo) - a 3rd party came to review and they said it was due to poor installation. John the plumber blames on the fixture itself (they found and purchased) but would not warrant the fixture. They are ultimately making me jump through hoops asking I order new parts, (not advising what part) and then non-responsive on the fix - 3rd party plumber expects it has nothing to do with the fixture - we shall see if I can ever get fixed- has been months now for a shower install.

I have used this plumbing service multiple times in the last several months and have always been satisfied with their work. They recently installed a new water heater for me, and the process was seamless. The technician arrived on time (8 am in the morning), was professional, and cleaned up after the job was complete. I highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing needs.

I cannot recommend this company enough. I have been scammed in the past by previous plumbing companies. It is so refreshing to find an honest and fair plumbing company. This business is way over priced. $350 to replace a valve for a toilet. The job took all but 10 minutes and the piece costs $15 at Home Depot.

I’ll never be using this service again.

To top it off he left the old broken piece in my bathroom for me to throw away. For $350 bucks you could have at least taken the broken part and disposed of it.

We were recently in the process of moving so we needed plumbing services for both our old and new home. I called up John the Plumber and had a great experience both times. We got drain cleaning done at the old place and some minor toilet adjustments for our new place. They were on time, super friendly and knowledgeable. I also like that they charge a flat per job rate and not hourly like some other companies. Shoutout to Michael and the receptionists that helped us out!

We cannot say enough about this experience. What I was told to expect on the call to set up the appointment is exactly what happened. Mike accessed the problem, came downstairs and told what he had found and what he needed to do to fix it and finally the cost to complete the job. Once we agreed to proceed Mike had the problem resolved in a very timely manner. Again 10 out of 10 in all areas.

This is the second time we have used John the Plumber. Service was excellent and Mike is an excellent plumber. Efficient, on time, and great quality, along with a reasonable price. We are very happy with John the Plumber.

I had a clog in the sewer system and had called John the plumber to come by. I read so many good reviews that I was confident in using the services. But truth be told I was in for a surprise. Michael showed up at the door. He diagnosed the issue and told me that the work that needed to be done was $480. He said the job could take up to three hours but was only there for less than 30. Before agreeing to the job I wanted to call my boyfriend to get his opinion. My boyfriend was at work and subsequently get back to me within a couple of minutes. Michael was very rude, he said if I wasn't going to use his services he had other places to be. Fine, I understand that, however, diagnosing the issue with John the plumber already costs $40 dollars, so he was not here without pay. He was extremely condescending and spoke to me with a misogynistic tone. I asked him if "augering" the pipe would provide a sufficient resolution and he told me that he couldn't guarantee anything. I then proceeded to ask him if he was in my situation what he would do, he said he could not offer any guidance.okay? Then.why are you here? I was desperate for a solution and decided to go with the services. On a side note I had called mr rooter before to get a free diagnosis and the gentleman there was much more helpful although he did recommend a service that was a little more extensive than what I thought I needed. He did offer to auger the pipe for $300 which is much less than what Michael quoted me but I just wanted to get the service done since there was a deep flood in the basement. At the end of the service Michael said if I paid in cash I would not receive an invoice but if I paid in credit I would. Which to me seems very suspicious. Would never use this service ever again.
