I used these services; Aaron Walker is the plumber who performed the service call. Aaron was extremely helpful. He was professional and took the time to review all my options with me and answer any questions I had. The dispatch team was also great and kind on the phone, which contributed to me choosing the service. I’m happy with the quality of the service provided!

We’ve had our toilets for over 15 years, and both were on their last legs when we contacted John the Plumber to come have a look.

Filling out the online appointment form was easy, and Thomas arrived right on schedule. He gave us an honest assessment (recommending we replace both toilets), but offered other options as well and explained the pricing for each option.

In the end, we decided to buy our own toilets and pay to have them installed, and Thomas was able to give us some brand/model recommendations based on our specific needs (budget, small bathrooms, etc.) We received a quote for the install that same day, and approved it as soon as the toilets were delivered to our house.

Once we approved the quote, Sean called and made an appointment for the install. Aaron and Connor came to the house and did an amazing job, going above and beyond my expectations! They worked quickly and quietly and left zero mess behind, and were especially great at managing to work around my two hyperactive pugs.

All in all, everyone I was in contact with was friendly, polite and knowledgeable without being condescending when explaining things to me, which I really appreciated as someone who is not at all handy with home repairs. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone who needs plumbing work done!:)

These days it is hard to get good service. John the plummer provided me with great service from the initial call and right to the end. During the estimation, i was explained clearly the work required and was provided with great recommendation. The personnel that came to my home was professionnal, respectful and friendly! Sort of new to this area, looked up on Goggle for a plumber and they popped up. To say they he least was totally satisfied with the service. Lance told us when he looked at the shower spa, (it is a Pulse, do not buy any of their products) that they did not service this type, however we told him that we had a spare, and he installed it. Was impressed by his presence and the job he did, a ten out of ten. John the Plummer is in my contact list to call if ever I need a plumber

Garrett was extremely professional, pleasant and personable and competent. He did a really good job and I think the price was fair - ouch! He also gave me plenty of notice before arriving which I appreciated.

Highly recommend John the Plumber!

We had an issue with the spigot in our garage. The pipe that cames from the basement burst and we had a small flood inside. We called John The Plumber and they solved and repaired the problem the same day in no time. Thomas the technician arrived on time. He was courteous and professional explaining and troubleshooting the problem. Very pleased with their whole service experience. Thank you for a job well done.

Eric was knowledgeable and provided an easily understandable explanation of the process for integrating the plumbing issues with ceiling replacement as arranged by the owners insurance. This first visit was for an assessment of the problem - water pipes broken in several locations due to freezing.

I have every reason to be confident that the needed repairs will be professionally and competently done for a reasonable price.

Eric and dispatch team were pleasant and helpful. Eric answered all our questions and fixed our kitchen sink leak. We will call them for future projects.

Thomas was very professional and although our issue is a work in progress and will require another visit, we have full faith that our issue will be resolved once the parts are found.

Your plumber, Alex, was great. He arrived in 10 minutes and fixed the problem of two plugged toilets in about 15 minutes. He answered our questions and talked about some solutions going forward and the company program if we get new toilets installed.

I worked with Crispin to fix a leaky pipe in the bathroom. He was awesome and come up with great ideas on how to fix it. I will definitely use these guys again.

The plumbers assigned to our house arrived well within the expected time, and promptly assessed the approx location of the clogged drain. Using their equipment, the clogged area was cleaned and the drain is now running well.

In regards to the service we received from John the Plumber we are extremely satisfied. Our pipes and faucets are original with the house which was built in the 80’s. Eric L.came and replaced our faucet upstairs. I heard a drip the next morning and he came at 8: 30pm tonight to fix the issue for me. It was a quick fix but gave me peace of mind. He is friendly, courteous and answered all of my questions with a smile. I told him I would be using him for the rest of our plumbing needs. With a house the age of ours we will need lots more work done! Thank you

Expensive charge (more than double usual charge)
Called for for water clogging in the kitchen sink which require simple job, snaking the drain. The service guy showed after the given time window and gave over estimate of the time/efforts needed to drain the job and a hefty price quote. The job was needed to complete sooner so didn’t have much time to shop around, also if I don’t go ahead with the estimate, still need to pay just for their visit. Eventually went ahead with their price but found job is completed less than half an hour but cost me more than the double (rip off) in compare usual price quote when I later checked with other plumbing services. Lesson learned, expensive charge, so don’t recommend this company. Before calling, suggesting to get price offer from other similar service provider specially who willing to give price estimate without charging visiting fee.

Update after owner very long reply:
Very understand the price could be varied and may be the quality of works. As said, I didn’t expect to get cheapest charge and very comfortable if its within the ball park compare to others or even if its 50% more. But for my case approximately 250% more didn’t sound like to me a reasonable. I have no negativity against this or other plumbing company, as long as they are within reasonable price range and offer quality of work.

I called at 1: 30pm today and by 5pm my kitchen sink was fixed. Geoff was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. This has been an issue for weeks and I’m so glad I finally called and it was fixed in no time. Do not waste time call John the Plumber! Thanks again so much Geoff! Kris Parsons

Great experience with John the Plumber. Customer service was responsive to my request. The workers were efficient and professional. I'm completely satisfied with the work and would hire them again. And I saved a lot of money compared to other quotes I received for a kitchen faucet installation.

Garrett and Zach were the technicians who came to unclog our kitchen sink. It was done in a professional and timely manner.
Our kitchen was left cleaner than it was before they arrived. Garrett and Zach were very friendly and had a great personalities.

If you're going to sticker up your Van for everyone to see at the very least drive a little bit more cautiously with a little bit of courtesy. Zigzagging between cars on Innis and bullying them to go faster is far from professional.

I had reached out to 3 other plumbing companies and John the Plumber was the only to have returned my call. As a result, I has extremely pleased for a booking 24 hrs later. The team were all very friendly and efficient, including Garrett and Dawson. They were able to help us make a decision as to the way forward with our leaky toilet without pressure.

Very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work received from John The Plumber team. Our work began in mid December with Johnathan coming to our place for a quote, he took his time explaining the process, he was informative and helped us make the final decisions on where to place our tub/toilet and vanity, maximizing our layout.

Liam and Connor then began smashing up our floor to install the new drains. They were very respectful of our home, putting down blankets and softly closing doors when coming/going, they did a great job throughout and left my basement super tidy.

Upon completion of our inspection, Connor came back to begin backfilling and pouring concrete, his dedication to your company is obvious, dude was in the basement mixing concrete in a bucket with his hands! While waiting for Geoff to swing by with the mixer. Very happy with how Connor and Geoff finished the concrete off too, they floor is level and ready for me to begin installing the new framing.

Our plumber, Tomas, was awesome. He was very patient with us as he efficiently found the split areas of our frozen water pipes. He expertly repaired all the cracks in our pipes. He was very conscientious and ensured that all our water was flowing properly and that there were no more leaks. He handled by two large and crazy dogs like a pro. I am grateful to John’s Plumber and Tomas for resolving our issue so quickly and well.

We had Eric come to our house today for lack of water pressure in our en-suite bathroom and a very slow draining bathtub. Eric was super friendly which I appreciated right off the bat given my complete lack of knowledge of anything plumbing-related. He took the time to explain to me the potential issue, my options and patiently listened to me. I was so impressed by his friendly demeanor, knowledgeable expertise and patience. Would definitely recommend him to any of my family and friends. Eric is trustworthy and it was evident he was not trying to push us to perform any work we weren’t comfortable with. Genuinely nice guy and would definitely hire him again for any future plumbing issues.

Update: Jake, a manager at John the Plumber, reached out to me after I left this review. He reviewed my file and acknowledged a mistake was made. He clearly cared that I hadn’t had a great first impression but was sincere in wanting to resolve it.

I decided to give them another shot. Geoff and Garrett arrived on time, were super friendly and knowledgeable. They did a thorough investigation and even though I had initially called for a clog, they determined it was a simple venting issue due to the big snow storm. With the milder weather we have had recently, they put their assessment to the test. Sure enough, the issue was resolved!

They provided some tips on maintenance and what to look for in the future. They could have charged me several hundred to run the drain snake, and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, it was under 100$ and I got some helpful info to keep the plumbing in top shape.

I’m thankful that Jake reached out, and that I gave John the Plumber another shot. Rating updated to a well deserved 5 stars. If anything comes up again, I’m calling these guys. Thanks Jake, Geoff and Garrett!

Original review: I tried to schedule an appointment with John the Plumber and was told they would arrive between 12-3pm. I waited around for the three hours and nobody showed up. I decided to call their office and was told my appointment was from 1-4pm and she wasn’t sure if they would be able to make it before 4pm because they are backed up today.

I get it, you can’t always plan for the time it will take at job sites. That said, you can contact your scheduled clients to let them know you won’t be showing up on time, or the timeline has changed. At the very least, don’t pretend that I’m wrong on the timeline for my appointment.

Two stars from me because they were friendly over the phone. Unfortunately that won’t fix my blocked drain.

These guys are really great. They arrived when they said they would and fixed the problem as fast as they were able.

I wouldn't recommend this company. The plumber, Mukaley, was fantastic. I wish I could say the same for Quality Assurance. My repair job was done on August 11th. I needed someone to come back to make an adjustment, which was agreed upon at the time the job was priced, and as of today, I still have no news on when a plumber will return. I ended up calling someone else to complete this job.

A clogged kitchen sink caused me to contact John the Plumber, and two other companies, over the May 24 long weekend. John the Plumber contacted me promptly to book an appointment. Their specialist, Tim, was at my house to resolve the issue by 10am on the first business day after the weekend. I was very impressed with their timeliness. The fee charged was reasonable, especially for how quickly they responded. Tim was professional, friendly and efficient. He was done in 30 minutes and left the work area clean. Thanks for the great service!

Lance fixed our broken pipe quickly and effectively and helped by giving maintenance tips. He was friendly and prompt and good with my young son who wanted to watch.

I would avoid this place. I didn’t have hot water so I called this company after reading good reviews.
They suggested to replace hot water tank and quoted me $1900. I refused because it is too expensive. In the end I found out that the problem was electric breaker not the water tank. Anyway, they charged diagnostic fee but they really didn’t do anything except scaring me what’s going to happen when hot water tank leak. I paid the fee and moved on but I would not recommend this place.

I can’t say enough good things about both Alex and Austin. They were knowledgeable and quick to identify and repair the issue. They are both true professionals and valuable assets to your business.

Happy with the service provided by John the Plumber, and Eric as the lead. Replaced four toilets in the house, and they got the work done quickly and efficiently, and at a reasonable price all in. They arrived on time, removed the old toilets, and installed the new ones all very quickly and cleanly. They also took the time to look at a few other plumbing concerns I had around the house.

We had a tap replaced outside in the backyard by Bill from John the Plumber. He was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He arrived on time and completed the job quickly. I would recommend this business without hesitation.
