Very good and helpful app, but customer service is very bad, can’t help you at all. Joist payments are very awful for refund issues. I had the same problem with Square, in about 2 min my problem was solved.
Switch to paypal payment it’s a nightmare.

Having used this App for couple of month, and it seems friendly and easy to use, Having say that If you are expecting to have an issue resolved over day or two, you better look for better App.you should be aware there is only email communication with this App. And as much as their customer service wish to support and help you, It has very poor results.
As a service provider using the payment services very frustrating, its over five weeks scenes we've process and clear funds. And we haven't received the funds. We communicate everyday with customer service and keep asked to set bank account information over and over again.

Worse than 1 star! My husband uses this app for his business, and 1 of his clients decided to pay him through the app. Joist made it an absolute nightmare for us to get our money from our client. Asked us a million questions and wasted hours of our valuable time. In the end it’s going to take over a week to get our funds and they’re taking 3%! NEVER AGAIN! I’ve never had to fight a middleman to get my own money from one of my customers.

Horrendous. Being scammed by a contractor and their ironically named "customer service" department just refuses to work with me on getting copies of invoices that I have links to. THEIR website is not functional but they refuse to budge to get me copies of invoices that I already have access to.

Whoever had the bright idea of moving customer service to chat is shamelessly cutting costs at the expense of decent service.

This company is awful, they don't offer live customer service, meaning I can't talk to someone on the phone it's done through emails and online chats. That's unacceptable, I don't need to wait for hours for answers. I want to talk to a live person on the phone. I was typing to someone through an online chat and they didnt like what I had to say so they abruptly disconnected, lovely customer service. They told me they just processed funds to go to my account. Why did it take till the end of day to process when the credit card information was ran the day before? Why did it take a whole day to type in buttons? When you use square it's instant, don't need to wait. It's automatically in your bank account. I'm never using this company again. Consumer beware, it's complete BS. I bet these reviews are from the employees, please stay away.

Joist can not handle payments on time.
They say payment reviews rare, but in reality they use the review as an excuse because they are understaffed. I understand needing to expand the company. However I don’t think they considered there customers needs first.

This is the only way I do invoices now. I even use this for payroll too. Very user friendly & great layout and design.

Worked as a contractor for this App for almost a year now everything was going well until they got rid of the account rep I was dealing with. Talked to the rep via phone with their direct number and was told the company had moved to California due to the Toronto Economy not being able to support the company here. Not sure how true that statement is but if it is true that's ridiculous on the Municipal, Provincial, and Federal Government for letting this get out. A real black eye for the Tech Community in this City. Cant really blame these Canadian Companies going Yankee on us. Good App wish you guys stayed here sad to see this happen.

So far so good! Hopefully this platform is stable and works well with other software like QuickBooks, Wrike and Evernote.
