Nobody is answering my emails or phone calls so I'm trying a review. If I got sent the wrong order, how many days do I have to return all the items to get reimbursed for the items I never received?

My neighbourhood plant haven. Expect elevated service from a small team and impecable attention to detail. The JOMO Studio experience allowed me to ask questions in an environment where it feels comfortable, like you're talking to your next door neighbour. I was able to bring home this beautiful ficus ruby and she has blossomed in my house all thanks to the tips from the JOMO team. I can't recommend them enough and always pop in to see what new plants/pots they have. Give them a visit. Even if you don't gain a green thumb, you'll gain a new local favourite spot right here in CityPlace.

Great little plant shop. Close to home. They always have new plants to check out. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can order online and pick up from here. It's a bit cramped. Hopefully they can expand in the future.

The plants were delivered locally quickly, and they ensured I understood how to care for them and let me ask questions. They're all extremely healthy and gorgeous - we will be ordering again!

I ordered online which was a huge mistake. My Dracaena Limelight arrived with browning leaves and the soil was completely dry.

When I emailed them about this with pictures I received your typical copy and paste response about how sorry they are, but they also said it's essential that a "plant parent" knows browning is normal. I thought it was an interesting choice of words considering the condition the plant was in.

From the looks of the reviews it does seem like my experience isn't common, so if you do buy from Jomo I think going in person would be fine so you can make sure your plant is the quality you expect it to be.

I ordered online and don't live near Jomo so I won't bother trying to get an exchange or refund, I'll just be more cautious about where I buy my plants in the future. Thankfully these are easy plants to take care of so I'm sure with a lot of patience I can make it healthy again.

Amazing selection and fair prices. My plants arrived quickly and safely. I was impressed at how well packaged and beautiful everything was - it was evident that a great deal of care was put into wrapping each of them. The entire order exceeded my expectations, and I am already picking out my next batch of wishlist plants!

I live in Montreal and ordered online. First of, I work in shipping and I gotta say I never saw anything as well packed as the order I received. It was carefully packed and everything was thoughtful from the pot I ordered around the base of the plants, to the sample bottle of plant food taped inside the box so it doesn't move around and the two heat pack to keep the plants warm in this gloomy weather. The plants arrived without any damage and looks healthy. Also thumbs up for the no plastic packaging, there was nothing that wasn't either recyclable or compostable except the tape holding the kraft paper around the plant. I'm more than pleased with my experience and will definitely order again.

I ordered 3 plants online since I cannot find them in any store near me and they arrived in a couple days. Very well packed with heat packs since this is March. The plants look great! I'm very pleased. I will be ordering again.

I kept the plants separated for awhile incase of pests as recommended. Everything seemed fine, I rinsed them well and added them to my terrarium. Now my terrarium is becoming over run with slugs.

I've purchased several plants from JOMO Studio and they all seem to be thriving. I chose to pick-up my orders in-store. The orders are normally ready within a day or two. Upon arrival to the shop, you are greeted by a one of the friendly employees.

As this store is located downtown, the store's front area is tiny so when there are other customers in the store it can feel quite overwhelming and claustrophobic at times but they're doing the best they can with their space.

A majority of their plants are on the other side of the counter so it's best to shop online and pick-up at the store - the advantage to this is if there are any issues with the plants you receive, you can exchange or return them while you are there. All of the times that I've picked up my orders, the employees have offered to let me inspect the plants before taking them.

I have read some of the other older reviews which mentioned rude employees but I haven't encountered that at all. They have all been incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I was quite indecisive when picking out some new planters - I wanted to see them in-person rather than purchasing online - the employees didn't mind at all, they were actually quite helpful with their suggestions.

In my personal experience, the plants are always really well packed for pick-up orders (the 4" pots are in those recycled takeout drink trays). They also include a general plant care guide but the care guide for your specific plants can be found on their website.

I haven't had the misfortune to received any unhealthy, infected, or bug infested plants as the other reviewers (that left poor reviews) had. As mentioned, my plants have all been very healthy, pest-free and are doing well - including my calathea.

For people that are taking home plants and finding that they're not doing so great shortly after bringing them home:
The plants need time to acclimate to their new environment. If you have lower humidity in your home, I find that it helps to put the plants in a large ziplock (for smaller plants) or a CLEAR trash bag (for larger plants) and slowly open it throughout the week until you can remove it fully so it's not such a drastic change for the plant (s). Also, this may seem pretty obvious but check that your space is meeting the lighting requirements for your specific plants. If you don't get enough light and cannot move the plant somewhere where it does, you can also get some fairly cheap grow lights on Amazon.

Something that is pretty normal for Downtown Toronto but worth mentioning anyways is that parking is not free and is quite expensive ($7 for 15mins - the parking lot across the road, under the overpass).

I am choosing not to deduct any stars for their in-person retail experience as their product and customer service have been top-notch and their primary focus seems to be online sales anyways.

Excellent customer service, quality plants, tight space, easy pick-ups, pick-up orders are well packed (I haven't ordered for delivery).

Highly recommend shopping online for pick-up rather than trying to shop in-person due to limited space and majority of the plants being on the other side of the counter.

Paid parking only.

I highly recommend JOMO studio. The staff are nice and they engage in conversations when you have questions. The lifetime support they offer for each plant yoh buy is stellar and they respond quick. I have bought quite a lot of plants from them and I am satisfied with every order. The packaging is nice. Foliage is protected and delivery is fast.

I bought the venus plant terrarium for 20$ and a few other items. Only to find the exact same terrarium pot and venus flytrap plant for 12$ at any other nursery in Toronto and it died shortly after getting it. I felt pretty decieved. I really enjoyed the ficus I got from here but I would not return here unfortunately.

Nothing but good things to say about them. Excellent healthy plants, wide rotating selection, great website with plant knowledge, good for shipping and pickup, knowledgeable staff.

Unlike other plant sellers, they knowingly ship with very long shipping times. Received my order after over a week and the plants were starting to decline upon opening them. No matter how much experienced care is given, these plants are rapidly declining and only a couple will probably make it. Terrible customer service, from not answering emails and questions to condescendingly blaming me for the plants continued demise. They offer a refund if you ship back the plants at your expense, how do they expect the plants to survive the return shipping? They don’t. They don’t care and know customer’s won’t bother with it. Don’t fall for their mystery plant promo either, I received a plant that was only fit for the garbage. I only buy my plants online and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. Give your business to other reputable plant sellers who like to see their plants arrive healthy.

I've always been satisfied with my JOMO orders and I highly recommend them to other houseplant lovers in the GTA.

They have a very nice collection of house plants for a decent price. Plants are always in a beautiful shape and are super healthy when i receive them. I always have them deliver to my house and the delivery is super quick and very well packaged.
I check their website every time they stock up new plants and I definitely plan on buying more!

It was a great user experience to place my online order, and I am currently all the way in Hong Kong.
Everything was super smooth, from ordering to tracking delivery.

Feedback from the receiver of the gifts were all positive.

I love this place, it quickly becoming my go to place. Always Great customer service, convinient and most important have great rare plant selection. Beautiful plants in store and that Pink Princess Philodendron alone is worth a visit.

Plants were succesfully shipped to Sherbrooke, Québec and arrived in great shape. I would buy again.

I have now ordered twice from JOMO Studio and will continue buying plants from them forever! The plants are hand delivered with care and have clearly been loved. The website has such clear instructions for care that I turn to it for all my plants, even the ones I didn't buy from JOMO Studio! I have purchased six plants and they are all in excellent health. I haven't needed to contact them for support for my plants, but I get the impression from my dealings with them that it would be very easy and friendly.

I ordered a Hoya Heart succulent and it is so beautiful! I was a little weary of ordering a plant online, but it was not only packaged and delivered with care, but the plant itself was in excellent condition as well. I explained that I was purchasing the succulent as a gift and asked if they could pick out the succulent that most resembled a heart, and they honoured my request. Overall, a 5/5 experience and will be ordering again.

My first go-to plant store. They have everything I need, and surprisingly often stock some rarer plant varieties as well. I use their delivery service more than walk-in, and have never had an issue with a plant losing leafs along the way, or experiencing temperature issues by moving from ideal conditions to a van in the middle of winter.

I love ordering from Jomo Studio. My plants are always packaged very well and arrive safely. Anytime I have encountered any issues with plants bought from Jomo they always respond promptly to my questions and have been very helpful. I am very happy I found Jomo Studio. Highly recommend them.

Love to support local small businesses, and was so happy to find Jomo. I ordered a hoya which is thriving, a mister, and potting soil, and got a charming tiny cactus as a bonus. So happy for a bit of green this winter!

Delivery is quick and easy and if you’re going into the shop parking is a bit annoying but the staff is so lovely. I appreciate the update on their insta and it’s a great local spot to support

Just got my first delivery from Jomo. The plants are in beautiful condition. The nursery pots are great quality. So happy with my purchase and can’t wait to adopt some more plant babies here. Delivery was outside of their normal delivery area but still delivered free of charge through a delivery pilot program.

I ordered my first plants a month ago and haven't quite been able to stop! The plants are beautiful, always arrive in great condition, and usually within 2 days of ordering. I love that JOMO has lifetime support for their plants and that you can contact them with questions to keep your plants thriving. I also think their website is SO informative because it lists the type of care your plants require, including; if they're pet friendly, light requirements, humidity, and watering. My only complaint is that I can't figure out how to stop ordering more plants! =)

Amazing Service! JOMO was so great to deal with and the plants I recieved were so healthy! I even had trouble with brown scale on one and while they coached me through it. They also replaced the entire plant and let me do as I wished with the other. I donated mine to a rescue cause for resale to save it!

Their delivery service is so wicked. You get a msg with a map to watch your driver come right to you! It's all so easy and so well done!

A terrific local business that has continued to deliver in Toronto during the COVID-19 pandemic. The quality of their plants is unreal! With a variety of plants to choose from, their website even provides profiles on how to take care of each one, and they offer lifetime support in case something starts looking off with your plants- extremely important for a plant newbie like myself. I've now ordered 6 plants from JOMO. Four of my co-workers (also relative plant newbies) were so impressed that they also ordered their own plants, and I even purchased some to put around our offices. Thank you JOMO for everything!

I am very skeptical of buying my plants online. 1. Because I am new plant mom, and 2. I get so OC in buying stuff that I need to see that everything is in good quality. I truly appreciate that they are honest about their products and they explained how they try to take care of their products. I am so surprised that my plants came perfectly as if I hand picked them myself. I just waited fot a day, and viola, I have my new babies! Highly recommended!

Plants are pretty, delivery is always great! Prices can be a bit steep for some plants, but you only live once

They have a great selection of houseplants, and my order was processed and delivered in two days which is amazing considering the pandemic. Customer service was very easy to reach when I had a question, and they send you a link that tracks the delivery person’s location as they drive to your place for delivery. I had a great experience, and my new plants are looking fantastic. I’ve already ordered more plants for myself and my sister as a gift. They’ve instantly gained a regular customer.

I ordered through their delivery service recently. On top of having a great selection of plants are pretty reasonable prices the delivery was really fast and they were very communicative, I had kind of shocked how quickly my order came! The plants came in good condition and are lovely. I can’t wait until they open up again to go in, browse, and go to some workshops! I highly recommend this local business!

Shipping is very expensive of $25 and they do not ship past the 407 which doesn't make sense if shipping is $25. If that money you can ship well into the GTA
Plants are on the pricer side but they do have good selection when in stock.

I had been walking past their store for months wanting to extend my green family. After recovering from the shock of all business closing, I wanted to help local businesses so decided to order online. Well my first 3 green babies arrived promptly 2 days later with a text on arrival, (and i could track the delivery like ubereats!) and after another week, i decided i wanted more! Such a great experience in dealing with Jomo and their team, would highly recommend!
Super responsive on text, very knowledgeable about plants - with watering tips specific for each plant on their website - everything arrived in tip top condition - and no bugs!

Great online delivery service! Plants came in great condition! I accidentally received the wrong size of a plant I ordered, reached out to the owner and was refunded the difference. Great customer service!

This was such a fun workshop in a really cool space. I can't really describe the calm feeling of mixing and pouring cement into a planter mould, or the serenity of arranging a succulent. Graham and Dun are exciting hosts and teachers, very knowledgeable and willing to work with you even on crazy ideas. Would recommend. Would do again. Would.

So much fun with JOMO! Really interesting activity, well prepared, and very welcoming! Both owners were well-versed and helpful. Really cool part of the city, and the JOMO space was clean and bright. The best part was coming away with two beautiful planters and an adorable succulent!
