Lovely family restaurant. Support local business. We never ate there but had takeouts a few times. Reasonably priced. Good portions.

Honestly, this was the best shawarma I ever had. I have tried a lot of shawarma in Toronto, and they were not as good. The ingredients are fresh and served in a big pita for a very affordable price. Ali and his wife are so kind and welcoming. Definitely give this place a try!

Tucked away in a sleepy plaza in Thornhill, this restaurant is quiet and spacious. The chicken shawarma I ordered was done expertly, and it was fresh. Quick service and good food. I would post a photo of the shawarma wrap but I've eaten it all. I hope more people find them. Can't wait to try their other menu items!

Absolutely delicious! The shawarma wrap is huge and price is low compared to many other places. If you're in the area, i highly recommend everyone to try it out.

Such a lovely place. Owners are kind and sweet. Their food is delicious, and portion sizes are very very good for their price. You will not be disappointed.

The amount of chicken they give you is fantastic, and the sauces are well flavored.great for getting high amount of protein.

Place looks like the before in a before and after picture but if you look past the veneer, the food is pretty decent. Shawarma is heavier on the vegetables (olives? !). Than meat, and skimpy on the hummus and garlic. Tasty but middle of the road compared to better options out there.

Tried the chicken shawarma because of the good reviews, fries and lower price, however we really did not enjoy our wraps.
Giving 3 stars because of the price and size.

The shawarma wrap is massive…. A footlong and big diameter. One wrap will feed 2 people.

We didn’t like our wraps because it was soaked in some weird salad dressing type sauce that wasn’t good. The inside was soggy and the outside bread was hard and dry.

The worker also didn’t ask what we wanted it in, just started making it without asking which toppings and sauces.

Jordan’s Shawarma is a small little place but don’t let that stop you from going. The falafel wrap is wonderful and a really good price. Fries are nice and crispy and the staff is very friendly.

Dines in more than 20 times. Very nice and healthy food. Same quality every time. Awesome service.

First time going today, after living in the area for the majority of my life, I wanted to give them a try. Definitely a humble little mom & pop spot and I was there around 5: 30 for takeout. Ordered lentil soup and the chicken shawarma rice bowl. The woman that is there is very sweet and patient. The portion size was quite large. I loved the flavour of the soup, the rice was tasty and the chicken was incredibly moist and tender. Generous on the toppings. The only downfall is the temperature. The food was not hot, if anything, barely warm. Definitely would have preferred to have at least a hotter meal, but otherwise everything was tasty.

Unbelievable shawarma. They make it properly. They remove all the cartilage and sinew leaving you with a perfectly juicy dark meat sandwich. This shawarma is as close to true middle East shawarma as you are going to get

I did not went to Jordon shawarma please I didn't. But I did enter the plaza it's at 2300 John St, Markham. I like the geography of plaza. Leslie street is way up on elevation while plaza is down on elevation. Bunch of shops.

The chicken shawarma with rice I had was not that fresh nor juicy. The place looks old and need to be uplifted. The worker/owner who was there looked like she just got out of bed and didn't feel like to work. Overall, a bad experience which I would not come back.

Possibly the best falafel I've eaten in Ontario. The women who manage the counter - I believe they are all family members - take such care in preparing the food. My first visit I happened to forget to ask the woman at the counter to change her gloves. I noticed too late that she made the food using the same gloves that had touched meat products. When I mentioned it, she was super reassuring that it's something she completely understands and would make me new falafel sandwiches. She just asked that we come back to eat again. I have since gone back every time the craving for falafel hits me. Their food is spiced to perfection and they fill up the portions as if they're feeding their own family. Hoping that their business thrives despite the impacts of prior shutdowns. Highly recommended!

The food is amazing and the portions are huge! The owner and workers are so nice and respectful they really take care of all their customers.

First off, this place has great food usually and the man who owns the restaurant is so pleasant. The problem lies with the young girl that works there. Her attitude, customer and food prep skills leave much to be desired. The owner almost looks embarrassed of her interactions with customers.

On my final visit she looked like I was bothering her by ordering food. She kept sighing as she was making the food and as you can imagine it was dry and flavourless. She also seemed to single me out to pay before my food was done. I asked her why I have to pay before my order has been started and she said she’s had problems with people like me. I’m a 5’0 slight framed, mid-30’s female. I don’t think I pose much a threat to anyone or look like I go around stealing food. I also don’t understand what “people like me” means. The older man offered me soup to smooth over the interaction but I politely declined and never returned.

Had chicken shawarma wrap, unreal! Large portion and great price. Definitely up there with Ibrahim bbq/shawarma. Will be coming back.

Tastiest shawarma I ever had, nicely presented and everything’s perfect and very fresh. We also ordered falafel and onion rings which is delicious

This place gets an easy 5 stars. Their hospitality was wonderful, food was delicious, and I was welcomed in very nicely. I highly recommend and I will be going back again for sure

I am disappointed that there are some negative reviews about the service. I am a regular weekly customer and have always been well treated. The shawarmas are delicious and the best I have ever had. Sort out the service problem as you are too good to be missed.

The food is clean, generous, good tasting and authentic. The customer service is friendly and attentive.

Dont go when the young girl is working unless you want to be treated like you’re in jail, demands me to get rice instead fries cause she has to make the fries… demands me to sit and pay first before even starting to make the food … been here over 20 times wish i could puke back up n get my money back

The food here is best in the area for shawarma. I am always so pleased. The portions are generous, veggies so fresh, sauces are unbelievable and the chicken and rice are the star of the show!

The two people that own together are so kind too. I cannot think of two sweeter people I’ve come across before. I have also tried the traditional Jordanian cheese dessert, I think, Knafeh - very tasty.

This post is long overdue, I have been to Jordan's Shawarma several times over the last few years. The food is always hot, fresh and prepared the way you order it. I have tried most of their dishes, the chicken shawarma is my Fav.

I really like this place, I think they make the best shawarmas in Markham. However, since I was accused of 'stealing' a shawarma from the one of the female employees, I felt too uncomfortable to come in. When I first came here, the owner offered me soup, and told me all about his small business. I am an advocate of small businesses and I usually go to mom and pop stores all the time. He made me want to visit this place weekly just to talk to him and eat his shawarmas.

This changed however when I was first accused of 'stealing' a shawarma, the female employee made me feel super awkward and told me "I looked like someone who did not pay for their shawarma". I do not know how someone looks like they do not pay? First of all, I am wearing a mask, I do not know how this female employee was able to distinguish my face as the person that DID NOT PAY for a shawarma? This really hurt and embarrassed me because I was with someone during this incident. It got to the point that the person I was with had to jump in and defend my character. I never stole anything in my life, and what I thought was a friendly place turned out to be a hostile environment.

Now fast forward to today, I decided you know what, let me give this place one more chance. The lady was there again, she gave me a dirty look as I walked in. She took my order and demanded me to go pay before she finished making my shawarma. I felt that hostile environment again, so I did as she asked, when I was done paying, so was my shawarma. I did not even get a chance to check if she put all the toppings I wanted, she actually forgot the hot sauce and had to put it on after. There was also no Tahini in my shawarma even though I asked her if there was. My shawarma had very little toppings, dry chicken, no tahini and was disappointing to eat to say the least.

The young female employee has a serious attitude and really needs to take a step back and learn some customer service. She is rude, ignorant, and is a fire cracker to customers. I am sorry Jordan Shawarma I will not be coming back, I tried to be a loyal customer, however now I am just an angry customer.

Great taste and value. Chicken shawarma wrap is panini pressed which makes it sooo much better. The baklava tastes great too

Get the chicken shawarma sandwich. It's incredible. Look, I'm not claiming to be a shawarma connoisseur, but I've tried a lot of them. And I'm telling you, there is SOMETHING about this place that just makes it a notch above the rest.

It might be the bread, which is toastier and crispier and yet doesn't crumble. It might be the sauce, which has a nice punch to it that complements their freshly cut meat off the round extremely well. It might even be the sheer size of it - $6.99 is more pricy than some other places, but you get what you pay for here.

Quality + quantity. Highly recommend.

I came across this when searching for shawarmas on gmap today. The rating is crazy high but its relatively far from where I am. But I decided to give it a try.

I ordered chicken salad shawarma plate and its fire. Chicken super tender and juicy. Sauces give the proper flavor. Portion is not bad. Not those kids meals you might find from some restaurants. This is for ADULTS!

Will definitely be back for more! And I recommend to anyone thats viewing this review. Come and try, you wont be disappointed

Absolutely amazing food and service. I had the chicken souvlaki and it was SO moist! The owner is really friendly too. If you haven't tried this place already, it's definitely worth at least one meal. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

Stopped by for the first time today. Food was 10/10 delicious and the service was 10/10 as well. The falafel was amazing! Great staff & so friendly! I'll be back and I highly recommend.

My first time there I was so excited to try a new place and the ratings and reviews seemed pretty good. Unfortunately when I came back home I ate the food I ordered 2 meat plate dishes. Chicken and Beef shwarma plates, the meat were dry and not tender nor juicy coming having to travel almost 25 min for it nope just wasn't worth it. If they can make their meats a little more juicer and tender I'd be back.

Ali and his wife are very welcoming. The food is hot, tasty and ready pretty fast. Price is pretty good too.

Ordered take-out for lunch today after reading the positive reviews and it was delicious! The portions are very generous - the shawarma, chicken kabobs and the falafel were all excellent, as were the sides. Our entire family enjoyed it and there is enough for lunch tomorrow! Will definitely be coming back. The service was very friendly too. Glad we found this place:)
