The facilitator's expertise and passion for the subject shone through brilliantly as she vividly brought to life the remarkable story of Josiah Henson and provided invaluable insights into African-Canadian history as a whole.

The virtual was such a great experience and I can imagine its even better in-person. Thank you

The Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. During our guided presentations by Whitney I felt like I was actually back in time with those escaping to freedom. Worth my 1hr and a half drive from Windsor Ontario. I'm Soooo glad I followed the recommendation of the Sheraton 4 points associate.

A remarkable experience. American history teachers dropped the ball by not telling the true story of one of the final destinations on the Underground Railroad.

I had been wanting to visit this museum for a number of years and finally took the opportunity to come in, listen and learn, as well as pay my respects to Rev. Henson and family at the family cemetery. Jackie, Steven, and Whitney are wonderful ambassadors, and are truly dedicated in their passion to welcome guests, and share knowledge. I recommend taking a guided tour if it is available when you visit, as it will really bring history to life.
If you ever had a passing idea of visiting the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History, you must do so. Also be sure to spend some time perusing the items in the gift shop; from books to handmade items, you're sure to find something.

Great little museum. Very interesting and well presented. Goes into darker parts of Canadian history usually glossed over but also illustrates the grit and forward thinking of the black settlers in the area.

We are delighted that we decided to visit the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History. The museum impressively portrays Josiah's transition from slavery in the United States to freedom in Canada. One highlight for us was the timeline exhibit in the Center, which vividly illustrates the challenges faced by Africans in various historical events over the centuries. Additionally, we appreciated the well-preserved historical buildings on the site, including Josiah's house, the church, and the new settler dwelling.

We were pleasantly surprised to discover that guided tours are available at the museum, which added to our overall experience. Special thanks to Morgan, who did an outstanding job as our tour guide!

We highly recommend a visit to this museum; it offers an exceptionally educational experience.

I must say it was one of the best experiences of my life. A wonderful insight to the history of Canada as it was protrayed visually and so eloquently verbalized by Steven. The staff were so welcoming I felt like I was with my family. I would highly recommend visiting the museum so you can be apart of the family as well.

I will return in 2024 for Emancipation Day and most likely again next Fall for a Teacher Workshop. In the U. S, the stories of the Underground Railroad end at the Canadian border and freedom. There is much more to be told!

I was part of a bus trip and the tour of the Jodiah Hendon museum was excellent. First we had an informative tour of all the outbuildings and then we moved into the main presentation room and staff member Jackie spoke about Josiah Henson his contributions and achievements and linked it to the present. She did a fabulous job. There is so much to see and learn here our tour was over before we knew it. I recommend touring the Josiah Henson museum

Just spent an incredible two hours at the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History. From the moment we walked through the door, to the moment we left, we were treated like family. Our 11 year old had a project to do for school so we made the 2+ hour drive and are certainly glad we did. Those hesitant to go with children, shouldn't be! Jackie provided an age-appropriate description of history and historical artifacts that was interactive and engaging. The gift shop had wonderful items at very reasonable prices. Our child will have an incredible project to present now! Thank you for a fabulous visit!
