A lot of people on the weekends. Most people shared the space pretty well while taking pictures of the fall. There's a lot to see in the gift store. I bought a bottle of their sweet and tangy sauce with maple syrup.recently used it to marinate chicken and pork. It was very good. We did not go on a journey behind the falls as there was a line and we had a limited time there
This is the single activity I choose to do at the Falls and I think I made the perfect choice! It was epic! The view from that vantage point was everything! I will be back and I will definitely do the Journey Behind the Falls again!
This was the type of experience that reminded me how small we are compared to the majestic natural wonders. I highly recommend visiting; the organization is good, line is fast and experience… epic!
Breathtaking scenery and a wonderful experience. Buy your pass online and save more money. You have the opportunity buy a wonder pass for $25 and you'll have access to three attractions. Journey behind the falls, butterfly conservatory, fury of the falls.
Très bonne attraction! Les deux premiers points de vue derrière les chutes ne laissent pas voir grand choses, mais la terrasse à côté des chutes est exceptionnelle
The idea of walking behind the falls is cool but it’s not worth the money. The tunnel walk is short and you don’t actually get to see anything from the two windows! The only enjoyable part is the side view of the waterfalls since you’re very close to the water but definitely not worth the money.
Amazing experience! You got to really feel the power behind the falls and take in its full beauty up close. Be prepared to get wet tho, luckily they give you rain coat to help with your clothes but your shoes are gonna get wet for sure!
I'd gone to Niagara Falls several times and was interested in taking this excursion. It was such a lovely experience. There's definitely something worthwhile to do.
This is a great adventure for families with kids. You actually get to venture down and behind Niagara Falls. There is a bit of walking involved, and the going can be slippery. A brilliant diversion on a hot day, and if it is windy you will get wet (ponchos provided). If you park in the lot near.the Table Rock Centre, be prepared for your car windows to be covered by a residue from the fall’s spray that will not come off with just your window washing fluid! You will need to scrub your windows with a squeegee or have some window cleaner and paper towels handy.
It’s a fun experience but it’s also quite pricey to just walk around closer to the falls. You don’t get that wet unless it’s a windy day and you can stay as long as you’d like. The views are spectacular but the two tunnels on the right side don’t offer much of a view.
I really enjoyed this. The portals under the waterfall were fascinating, and the observation deck gives the best view of the falls anywhere in my opinion. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is that I found the price a bit high, but it's not exceptionally expensive by Niagara Falls standards.
Once you enter the tunnel there are a few openings behind the falls where you can take a look but you can't really see much because of the water. The best part is when you go outside the tunnels and get to see the water as it falls off the cliff. Best place to take photos.
A bit pricey for what you get, but overall a good and novel experience. I would go just once during the first visit to Niagara Falls but likely would not return in subsequent visits. If you are on a tight budget, I'd say this is not a must-see attraction.
For the price (25$/ person) Journey behind the fall is NOT a must according to me. It takes 20 minutes to complete and the view is not that impressive. I thought we had a better view of the fall up on the side walk. I don’t regret doing it but I would not recommend.
Such a great experience! The sound of the falls travels through the stone into the tunnels. You can feel the power of the falls right above you. Seeing the falls from back side is surreal. When you go to the lower viewing platform you can’t help but be in awe of the majesty. Makes sense why they call it a great wonder of the world!
Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Falls Canada is a must see. To see the power behind the actual Niagara Falls right in front of you and the spectacular scenery is something you wouldn't soon forget.
You take a little journey down a tunnel first. When you finally get to the bottom, the lookout behind the falls is kind of quick. Its definitely a one of a kind experience, but there are many other attractions that are much more exciting in this tourist area. I recommend the poncho if you take the journey, your going to get wet.
This is a nice way to see Niagara Falls. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. I bought my ticket and walked into the tunnel, which goes through the ground to be right by the falls. When you take this tunnel, it goes to a platform right by the waterfalls. You are very close to the falls, which is nice. I gave this attraction five stars because you can appreciate the sheer might of the waterfalls best when you’re right by them and the tunnels are well maintained.
It was pretty cool to go out and see the falls from below, but the tunnels behind the actual falls just weren't as interesting. It was a cool experience overall, but there wasn't much to see from the tunnels behind the actual waterfall.
The two tunnels extend approximately 46 metres (151 ft) behind the waterfall and allow visitors to view water cascading in front of the open cave entrances. Earlier in the attraction's history visitors were permitted far closer to the portals' edge, however, the ongoing erosion of the gorge itself left these areas with insufficient rock remaining on the sides, and new tunnels were built further back. [1] Barricades now exist further back from the ledge at the end of the tunnels to ensure visitor safety.
The observation deck provides a vantage point looking up with the falls to the right, allowing photographers a full view of the famous landmark. The deck is sprayed with water from the cascade so visitors are provided with plastic raincoats prior to their descent
What an awesome experience. If one goes to Niagara Falls I would say this is a must see. To be in the tunnels first made to view the falls from this angle is breathtaking.
There is a nice and inexpensive cable car that can bring you from the hotel area tight to this highlight of the Niagara falls visit. It is really worth it to go behind the falls just too experience the power of the water, though you don't see much other than a massive wall of water. They've done a good job setting things up so you don't get very wet.
Kinda neat, but not a lot to see once you have seen it once. Still a good experience, but not sure if it worth the price. You will get wet when doing this activity, but it is fun regardless.
Pretty cool of you have the wonder pass. I don't know if I would do it by itself. It is amazing to think where you are. Also don't miss the information panels
Drippy crowd small and well this girls fear factor. I remember being there as a kid.we could go all the way to the end. No longer.eeeek:) great views . Go in off season!
Was a very nice experience to check out the tunnels behind the falls. Unfortunately, the outside observation deck was closed for winter and tunnels were not very long. Other than those issues, it is worth it, especially if you purchase the wonder pass.
If you are claustrophobic, be careful while traveling through the tunnels. It tends to get a little crowded on certain days and it's much more difficult to walk if many people are traveling at once. However, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Once you are out of the tunnel, you can bask in the scenic beauty of the falls. Expect to get soaking wet and cold. Worth every penny!
Good close-up view of the falls but may not be worth the price. Get some good pictures of the falls or some selfies with the falls in the background. They also have some fun facts and history of the falls. Then go just behind the falling water and get a feel of the amount of water going over each second. We were done in less than 15 min.
The experience of viewing the falls from the tunnels being behind and besides it was spectacular. I wish the lower deck was open too. I could just stand and look at the view for hours, given a choice.
Beautiful and super worth it. You take an elevator going down leading you to tunnels that were built to show you the "inside" of the falls. The observatory on the outside has an amazing view of the falls. Highly recommend going through this attraction if you're visiting the falls.
Total tourist experience. I was out voted (5-1) and staying topside was not an option. I braved my irrational claustrophobia issues and rode the elevator down to the tunnels. The roar of the falls is thunderous down there and the only thing louder was my heartbeat. I'm not sure why this is so popular because the observation deck is blinding with thick mist from the falls and we could hardly see it. The topside walk gives you a better view and you don't have to walk around small creepy tunnels with hundreds of annoying tour bus tourists trampling you and your 4yr old. Maybe in the summer it is better but I doubt that because there are most likely even more tourists. Stay topside and see the falls from the tree lined wide open walk way unless of course your husband and 4 sons out vote you. Either way, wear rain boots! I can't believe how many people were there without them. That seemed like a big D-U-H for shoe choices that day for our family but we're from the Pacific Northwest. Ha!
This is a lifetime experience! If you are travelling to Niagra then this should be a must visit place in your bucket list. The pleasant color of rainbow and the ferries down in the falls gives you a breathtaking viewbof this place!
I have no words to express the beauty and the grandeur of this spectacular place! Simply amazing and amazingly beautiful! The huge water and the massive flow of the falls! It was as if I am in a dreamland, some sort of imaginary place! Whew! It’s just superb! The one thing I missed was going down till the falls, we could not go because of the bad weather! The restaurants around are also really good and serve fabulous stuff! The souvenir shop was also great and had lots of small small things! All in all, a fabulous experience!
Not much things to see, ticket price is quite high too. The only thing to consider before buying tickets is that you can get very close to the strong water downpour of the Horseshoe bend waterfall.
