Really one of the best dumpling places in Toronto. Super juicy and delicious variety of dumplings. Excellent price. Fast service. Highly highly recommend!
I've been here a few times and they did have to raise the prices for their soup dumplings. Now the deal is 3.99 for 6 beef balls instead of soup dumplings. Soup dumplings are now 4.99 for 6; one order is good for a snack or small meal. The taste is great, the dumpling wrappers are thin.
Still the food is affordable and quick to be served. You get a beeping remote which lights up when your food is ready. Food comes with hot sauce and soy sauce; chopsticks and napkins are self serve. It can get busy for seating sometimes so takeout is preferred. Free WiFi.
It was just okay And I also questioned whether the price is actually as great as it seemed from first glance considering that you need to order 2-3 menu for a proper meal It’s essentially a Chinese fast food chain with a reasonable price
Entrance - 4/5 Staff - 5/5 Order time - 5/5 Menu ease - 5/5 (easy to read and order) Quality - 5/5 Quantity - 5/5 Value for money - 5/5 - keep a tissue with you cause they are like oily balloons. - make sure you squeeze the oil inside the box. - highly delicious and recommended.
Great spot for a quick lunch/snack. Dirt cheap, food comes out very quickly, and it tastes good. Pictured is the 6 pork dumplings for $3.99; super juicy and flavourful. Will definitely be back every time I come to visit Toronto. No dine-in unfortunately, but there are many areas around the restaurant in Chinatown where you can sit down indoors and eat.
My go to when I'm craving dumplings. Fresh and delicious with just the right amount of delicious broth inside. Mostly always a lineup but trust me they are well worth it.
I've had most of the items on the menu. I could easily recommend anything. The taste is superb. Combined with their amazing prices and reasonable service, it is my go to for take-out dim sum.
The dumplings here are absolutely delicious. The service is pretty quick, but it can get hectic fast — when I visited they forgot my order and I had to ask about it. Due to the pandemic they offer takeout only, and have a limit of 10 customers in the store (but it’s not a hard rule as they let in about 20 when I was there).
What an experience. We passed Juicy Dumpling once and on the way back I knew we needed to stop in for bao buns. We got the two vegan options— mushroom and chinese greens. We stood in line and it got busy fast! But it didn’t take much time for the buns to be gone. They were so fluffy and fat and delicious. Seriously sufficed a craving I have been having for months. Can’t wait to go back. Good thing I don’t live near, I would eat these way too often!
Good quick bites at a great price! I’d been here before but previously only ordered the mini soup dumplings and the juicy buns. This time, we also ordered the green onion pancake (a little oily, but very tasty), deep fried dough stick (meh, nothing special), and deep fried cumin chicken (a bit on the fatty side, but great value given the portion!). Imo, paying an extra $3 for the crab in the soup dumplings is not worth, and they are delicious with just the pork! My go-to here is the juicy buns and the mini soup dumplings. Maybe now the green onion pancake too! Unfortunately, we got takeout and sadly the fried dumplings were a bit soggy by the time we got home. Recommend eating the pan fried goodies fresh, otherwise go with the steamed version.
Note: we tried to order ahead but they do not take orders over the phone.
Haven’t had the chance to explore the menu too its fullest but I’m impressed by the speed and taste of these dumplings. Will definitely be back for more!
Surprisingly really good dumplings for the price. Was honestly not expecting it to be very good at all with all the flashy signs. I ordered both the steamed and pan fried pork buns and they both exploded with juices. So good.
Dumplings were pretty good. The price is fantastic! Outdoor seating very poor and I just can't believe we are 8 months into this so called pandemic and not a washroom in sight. It's a basic human right. Very sad situation. The HOAX continues
OMG! The best dumplings I've had outside of China. Juicy is a very good description. If you want authentic, delicious, and cheap, this is the place to go. I'd been looking for Shanghai style dumplings everywhere. The pan fried soup dumplings with sesame seeds are it! You don't even have to go to Shanghai to get the stuff, you can literally find it in Toronto at such an amazing price. Definitely worth the line up. And now with covid you can still pick up your dumplings safely from the back. I hope they can survive this covid disaster.
Very unprofessional staff. The guy taking orders lashed out and told me deliveries are at the back and when I went there and he saw me he gave everyone their orders except mine (while staring me down), I waited 10 minutes with my food on the table until someone else came
Simple and minimal menu, but that they do, they do well! Service was super quick, food is cheap, and it's all very flavourful! Would recommend if you're looking for a quick, cheap eat in China Town - the juicy pork buns are the best!
This was a great find! My flight was delayed and I was looking for a quick bite to eat in Chinatown. This place offered tasty dumplings at a great price point. Would have been nice to have some additional options, but I realize they probably want to offer a few great things that they can serve efficiently, versus an extensive menu
Very juicy tasty mochi mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Wowwww! definitely better to eat in restaurant than uber eats.with delivery, the juice explodes everywhere and ruins the dumplings before arrival! Still yummy though.second fav dumpling place downtown.highly recommend for people who like juicy dumplings.
Must try their mini soup pork and crab dumplings. The pan fried ones are delicious too. The chive and pork bun is just like steam bun in any Chinese bakery
Amazing idea of combine Chinese food with fast food concept! Cheap, fast, and bright dining area. And best of all - super tasty dumplings. I LOVE this place. This has become one of me and my friends’ favourite places to visit.
Time: weekday lunch Wait time: 10 to 20 mins Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Atmosphere: 2/5
Juicy dumpling is inside a mini mall-like structure in chinatown. It reminds me of a mcdonalds for dumplings - its quick, fast, filling, and cheap. Everything's pretty tasty for a low price.
Their soup dumplings are great for the price ($3 for half a dozen) Everything else on their menu is a tad pricier and may not be the best bang for the buck, but it's worth the try as they are still quite tasty.
This place is a jam. The dumplings, phenomenal. But the secret is the chicken wings. Add them to your meal. Enough to share, don’t let the sign fool you into thinking they are spicy. While they are spiced well, there is little heat. Popular spot already so either go at off hours or be prepared for a lot of people. It doesn’t effect the wait time much.
Fast Dumplings! They taste good and they are juicy! Very quick service, you have the option to choose from sriracha and soy sauce (I don’t think is necessary). We tried pan fried chicken and pan fried pork.
The inside looks friendly with lots of seats in the longue and about 8 bar seats. I got there about 9: 30pm so the longue area was closed off but that is understandable because they need to clean up to get ready to close.
The menu was easy to read and the prices are decent. We ordered P1: 6 Pan fried soup pork dumpling and P2: 6 Pan fried soup pork & crab dumplings. They were $3.99 and $6.99 respectively. The whole transaction only took 3-4 minutes before we got our food so that's pretty fast.
The reason for the 2 star review is because one of the soup dumpling fillings was incorrect. The P1: Pork Dumplings was delicious, nice and juicy with soup leaking out once I bite into it. The P2: Crab and Pork dumpling was the screw up. I came here before and tasted the difference between P1 and P2. I immediately took it back to the cashier and asked them to check as the taste was the same from the two containers. They just stared at it and told me that the order was correct. I ate rest of the dumplings and all of it didn't have any crab inside, it all tasted like pork filling only. I paid double the price for the crab filling and didn't receive it after I said there was something wrong. I feel ripped off and was just annoyed by this situation and how they handled it.
Very good deal. $2.99 for 6 soup dumplings is a good deal anywhere. I liked how they didn't come too hot so it was acceptable to eat right away. The vegetable shiitake mushroom bun was also made very well and it was only $2! Overall, food is good and the price is very affordable and worth. It does get busy but they get your food out pretty fast too!
Big juicy dumpling holds up to its name. It will not disappointed. Only recommendation is to add more condiments. If the line is long its worth the wait.
Oh so juicy! Cheap and delicious. The owner is super friendly and makes the whole experience very pleasant. I recommend this place for a quick bite and very worth it.
Gave me the wrong order then proceeded to say it was my own fault and they had double checked with me when they did not. I had to haggle with an employee for a while before they decided to give me the correct order and refund for the correct price.
It is located in Chinatown at the intersection of Spadina and Dundas, inside of Dragon City.
I've heard a lot of hype about this place and was so excited to try it. Let me tell you I was not disappointed and visited this place again two days later! Yes, I've had juicy dumpling twice in a week and it was just as good the second time!
My first visit I order the steamed XLB and the pan fried XLB. The pan fried ones were nicely fried and filled with a good amount of soup. It was juicy and delicious. The meat inside had a nice texture and you can tell that it was a nice meat blend, not fatty. The steamed ones did not taste as flavorful as the pan fried ones but still had a nice filling and good amount of soup.
My second visit, I ordered the pan fried XLB, pan fried juicy pork buns and the wonton soup. The fried XLB was just a delicious as I remembered and the wonton soup was so nice on such a cold day. The wonton was made with a generous amount of shrimp and came with about 7 pieces in the soup. The soup was light but still tasty, at the bottom there was fried shrimp found. It was nice to know it wasn't instant soup. The pan fried pork buns were similar to the pan fried XLB but the skin was a lot thicker. Definitely more filling.
Highly recommend this place and the pan fried XLB!
Not sure what all the hype is about this place. The service is fast and the food is cheap but I rather pay a bit more and get better quality. The soup filled pork dumplings has this odd seasoning (cumin, perhaps?) That threw the flavour off for me. The soup wasn't very flavourful either. For the pan fried chicken dumplings, I'm excited to see pork alternatives but it was ok.the meat was a bit dry. And the pan fried green onion pancake was a bit under cooked for me and not crunchy enough. I wouldn't rule this place out and if I was in need for a really fast bite, this fits the bill.
It's only 2.99 for 6 soup dumplings and they are so good. I honestly think I could 100 of them! You have sit down and eat them there though because they taste best fresh out of the steamer. The price can't be beat and man are they good.
